This is a very nice coffee shop, unless you are looking for a quiet spot for a quiet conversation…read morewith two people inside. This location has a nice looking facade, red brick with black awnings. Several healthy looking plants standing guard at the front vestibule. Inside there is a large center table, and some counter spots along the front window. Lots of items and merchandise to look at while you wait your turn. Came with a friend, and it didn't take us long to get to the cashier. Lots of choices on both the food and drink menu. Cookies, muffins, biscotti, and power bars if you are looking for some bakery. Breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, and other breakfast items as well. Got my London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra foam), in a nice 12 oz mug. They told me it would be several minutes to steep the Earl Grey Tea, which I always take as a good sign that they know what they are doing :) Inside, there weren't any spots for two people to have a quiet or private conversation, so we had to go outside. Then there was the busy street, with traffic noise. The drinks and service were all very good. Unfortunately, the seating options are not a good fit for my coffee shop routine.

Coffee was great. Also got one of their breakfast sandwiches too and it was delicious. Would…read moredefinitely recommend.

So many reasons I love this coffee shop! Delicious drinks,…read morefantastic people, a great vibe, a cool/funky location, and a great local business/gem of Uptown Racine (*a tip for the uninitiated: knowing where to turn off of Washington Ave is very helpful, as there are some one-way streets. The parking lot is behind the building and can be accessed from Ann St. or Owen Ave. If you are going thru the drive-thru be sure to turn on Owen St. (west of The Branch at 1501/Esperanza). See map in photos * Delicious Drinks! Our go-to's are: almond milk and lavender lattés, cold brew with frosted mint and a splash of cream, raspberry lemonade, Jamaica Agua Fresca and Maui Wowie (we've tried many other of their concoctions as well, and not been disappointed) and Pup Cups worth working for!! This is our dog's favorite coffee shop ;) * The people! Sergio and his team are genuinely warm friendly people. I stop by regularly, in part, just for the bright spot it adds to my day * The Vibe! Fun, creative, friendly, funny: they have fun daily poll questions, occasional simple while-you-wait art projects * The Cool and Funky Location! It's in a renovated bank! And you can get your drinks thru the drive-up teller drawer, or sit inside in an open, spacious, warm and well-lit great room. I've never seen a better use of a bank building in my life. Support a local business that adds its own delicious flavor of hope (a.k.a. esperanza) to Uptown!

Date of visit: January 22, 2026…read more A fun little place in Grafton to wait while your husband has a procedure down the road at Aurora. Okay, you don't have to have that specific scenario to enjoy this cozy spot! You could tell that this was a big meeting place for the locals and regulars, though despite being neither, I didn't feel out of place or viewed askance, which I really appreciated. My Salted Caramel Mocha was a thing of rare beauty and joy, and I went ahead and signed up for their loyalty club at the same time (who doesn't like freebies in exchange for your soul/data?). If you want to work out of this location, make sure you have a fully charged battery as there are few outlets in the inner cafe area; the outer area is better equipped that way but was decidedly lacking in heat and not a place I could stay for any larger amount of time! Since I was there a while, I also went with a peanut butter cake, though I was disappointed to find out that you earn no points on food, just coffee. The cake was very good but also very rich, and I wish that had water on hand to help me finish it!

Always fantastic! The place is full of life any given day of the week, and the staff are always…read morefriendly and patient. I love their speciality coffee drinks, which go beyond simply adding this syrup or that one; they're genuinely creative and suit the season or holiday well. Whether you're looking for a traditional macchiato or a fancy beverage with whipped cream and chocolate, you can get it here and know that it will be delicious. This is a perfect place to catch up with friends, get some work done alone, or just read a book. The shop itself is more spacious than a lot of coffee shops in the area and retains that classic old brick industrial building charm, situated on the first floor of the historic Grafton Arts Mill (which you can also check out if you want to see some great local art!)
