I am disappointed to leave a 2-star review, but my experience here was not good. I have been here twice. The first time, I waited over 20 minutes just for my coffee. I understand it was busy, but 20 minutes seemed like a long time for coffee. At that point I still gave this location another chance. I went back a few months later. Unfortunately I had an even worse experience. I waited over 45 minutes for my coffee. I was with a group of 6 people, so maybe that slowed them down a bit. However, we did not have that long to wait as we were on our way to somewhere. I approached the counter to ask how much longer it would be after about 30 minutes and was met with an unpleasant and unhelpful employee. I usually do not leave 2-star reviews, but 45 minutes was ridiculous for lattes. The employees should have warned us that they were so backed up because we would have went elsewhere. A bit pricey but a super cute coffee shop with lots of seating options for studying or chatting. I got the seasonal drink - mistletoe matcha which was pistachio and matcha. It was an interesting combo that was nutty and fragrant. It did cost like $7.5 though. Staff were friendly and efficient. My drink was put together in under 2 minutes. The bathroom was spacious and clean. There were about 7 parking spaces in the lot and they fill up fast. I go to lots of coffee shops, and I have been to this location a bunch of times. There is a lot to like about Fiddleheads -- good baristas, a wide variety of food and beverage selections, and nicely designed cafes. There are different areas for seating and different size groups. What I have noticed about this location is the seating and atmosphere taking a turn for the worse. I normally come with a few other people, and we can grab a quiet spot. On this day, many of the group areas (like a couch, coffee table, and two other chairs) were taken up by a single person doing laptop work and having all their paperwork sprawled out. Many of the other four-tops were taken, again by a single person. So we sat in the area by the back door and the order counter. There happened to be groups with small kids, and they were literally out of control -- screaming, running, pushing each other. The adults didn't seem to mind, even as other people were looking over. I like kids, got a couple of my own, but I don't understand how some people just seem to be checked out. Having a business is hard, and you want to be inclusive of everyone. But there are also limits to what you should expect at a small independent coffee shop. Each location will have its own unique culture, and maybe this kind of boisterous environment is considered acceptable. There are plenty of other excellent choices for coffee shops, and all of us need to find the right fit. This is no longer a good fit. :( read more

I wish I could give Fiddleheads more stars because they have a lot going for them. The service is excellent and the space is beautiful. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite measure up, and my espresso drink this time wasn't as good as on previous visits. My take is that they're doing their best with what they have, but they need more help to deliver on the menu. I came in on a Sunday, late morning, and encountered a long line. I ordered a cappuccino and two sandwiches, one a croissant breakfast sandwich and the other a turkey gouda melt. My drink took a reasonable amount of time given the volume of people, but the wait for the food was so long that I was concerned they forgot the order. I didn't time it, but I would estimate about 20 minutes for the sandwiches. The croissant sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese was quite good, but the turkey melt was a letdown. I would expect a melt to be toasted, but either some equipment was down or they only have an oven to warm up whole sandwiches. Judging from that and the wait time, they might simply not have the equipment to execute on the menu effectively. My cappuccino, which I finished before getting my food, was surprisingly acidic and sour. I've had espresso drinks here before that were very smooth, so I don't know what happened. The people here are so nice, and the beautiful old brick building has lots of great spaces inside and out. Unfortunately, my visit was a disappointment, and I might not be back. Hopefully the great team here gets some better resources to get this cafe delivering better product. read more

This is a great Wisconsin coffee shop. The service is good, and we really appreciate that the baristas are all smiles; they really look happy working at Fiddleheads Menomonee Falls. This coffee shop is such a gem! I've only visited once, but I enjoyed my time immensely. Both my beverage and my pastry were absolutely delicious. The iced chai latte with almond milk was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy (by spicy I mean warm spices like nutmeg and cardamom). Sometimes lattes come with too much milk and not enough chai, but this was made perfectly. The almond milk didn't overpower and water down the chai flavor at all. My cinnamon roll was warm and gooey. The drizzle of icing on top complemented the intense cinnamon flavor nicely. The are plenty of places to sit inside both on the main level and the second floor. The decor is an interesting mix of modern and eclectic - making for a unique yet cozy atmosphere. The couch I sat on upstairs was super comfy! The only reason this coffee shop gets four stars instead of five is because parking can be iffy. There are a few spots right in front, but otherwise you'll probably have to poke around for some street parking. Both of these things I find to be negatives, but I'm a curmudgeon. I just cannot stand chirpy and cheerful before my coffee, and I don't like it much after my coffee. I am truly annoyed with nonsense words, they add "at all?" to every sentence. But as I observe, I realize most people like this sort of thing. The happy children near my table would also be a plus for most people. I feel like buying them some triple shot lattes. If I didn't have so much work to do that is exactly what I would do. This is such a family friendly place the parental units are a couple tables away enjoying grown up time. Service might be overly cheerful with excessive wordiness, but it is also very competent and efficient. Great service and atmosphere. I like the rooftop and upstairs seating option. The coffee wasn't my favorite but Im picky with coffee.

My original plan was to drive thru at Starbucks this morning before starting my work day however the line was incredible long and that plan changed. I'm not really a patient person and the thought of waiting for my morning cup of joe was not going to work. So I decided to drive up the street and keep it local today. I'm so glad I made this choice because now I have the perfect spot to work in if I need to get out of my home office for a change up. The atmosphere and coffee was just what I needed. There's a fireplace and I can imagine myself enjoying my coffee here next winter. This location is very close to home. I'll definitely be back. I went to the bathroom which was pretty dirty and that's always an indication to me that the kitchen might be too. I'm so excited to have a roomy coffee shop in the Falls! I've never been to a Fiddleheads before but got my usual dirty chai with almond milk, which wasn't as mild as Starbucks or as spicy as Colectivo. It was the best of both worlds for me. I didn't have a chance to peruse their food menu. Again, the space! I see myself coming here often to get some work done or just relax. There's seating on both floors (+ a conference room available for reservation), and I'm eager to see what their plans are for the patio. This is my fifth time here, 3 times for coffee and twice for a quick and healthier breakfast on the go. The first time I visit the store was a few days after they opened and ordered a veggie burrito with a coffee. The burrito at the time was decent and the cost was a bit less than it currently is on the menu. I do not usually drink specialty coffees, so I opt for the regular black coffee to go and their blends are pretty good. Better than the chain coffee place down the road in my opinion, when it comes to regular coffee. The veggie wrap this morning was a little bit of a let down, but menu ingredients for items change all the time. For a single veggie wrap, that was already assembled from previously cooked items and steamed to temperature was $6.65 with tax. Not overly a big wallet hit, and it was pretty hot when received, but it was missing something. Maybe instead of chipotle mayo, salsa or pico could be used as that that wet ingredient to improve the taste, but this is a personal preference. All in all, check out the coffee bar and enjoy the ambience. read more

Very cute and quiet location in downtown Menomonee Falls. Today I ordered an iced Autumn Latte with almond milk and my husband had one with whole milk. Spent around $15 with tip on two iced coffees which is pretty pricey BUT, the coffee was good and the latte was not overly sweet. I've also come here and had a cold brew while studying. I have returned weekly and it is much improved. Note: In the interest of full disclosure I am keeping my original review below. But...to reiterate...my concerns below have been acknowledged and addressed! -------- There is much to like here: friendly staff, sitting nooks, gas fireplace. And I do shop here-- but only "to go". But ... the overhead music volume is really loud, and the employees say they cannot adjust it. Among the regular patrons I've met, most wear headphones. But even my noise-cancelling headphones do not make much difference, including upstairs. I would spend time here if management acknowledges the feedback...Perhaps take a poll of regular patrons and let a plurality decide? read more

Terrible to their employees, don't know how to be professional, very rude to anyone who isn't a regular, and have utterly disappointing coffee. They have a cute cafe, but it's all taken away by the lack of awareness of the team. They shrug around and don't do their job well at all. I asked for oat milk in my drink one day and they completely disregarded it even tho I cannot consume dairy. It was terrible. They have bad attitudes and bad coffee which is the worst of both worlds. You'd be better off getting coffee from a gas station. My friend worked there a while back and had to close all by themselves as a minor, and the manager didn't care that she said she was uncomfortable. Absolutely disgusting. We stopped for a breakfast sandwich, breakfast wrap and two small coffees. Cost $18.50. The coffee was fine, comparable to Stone Creek or Collectivo. We observed the breakfast items being prepared in a microwave oven. The wrap was acceptable from a taste standpoint. The breakfast sandwich was not. The bun was good, but the contents were of poor quality. Anything that makes a McDonalds bacon egg and cheese biscuit look good is nothing to write home about, especially at twice the price.
