Cute place, quick service and lots of seats! Went to work for a morning from there, wifi was good and there was a few tables with outlets nearby. I had the sausage egg and cheese sandwich And the Honey Bee Latte both were good! Excellent coffee shop!

I go to lots of coffee shops, and I have been to this location a bunch of times. There is a lot to like about Fiddleheads -- good baristas, a wide variety of food and beverage selections, and nicely designed cafes. There are different areas for seating and different size groups. What I have noticed about this location is the seating and atmosphere taking a turn for the worse. I normally come with a few other people, and we can grab a quiet spot. On this day, many of the group areas (like a couch, coffee table, and two other chairs) were taken up by a single person doing laptop work and having all their paperwork sprawled out. Many of the other four-tops were taken, again by a single person. So we sat in the area by the back door and the order counter. There happened to be groups with small kids, and they were literally out of control -- screaming, running, pushing each other. The adults didn't seem to mind, even as other people were looking over. I like kids, got a couple of my own, but I don't understand how some people just seem to be checked out. Having a business is hard, and you want to be inclusive of everyone. But there are also limits to what you should expect at a small independent coffee shop. Each location will have its own unique culture, and maybe this kind of boisterous environment is considered acceptable. There are plenty of other excellent choices for coffee shops, and all of us need to find the right fit. This is no longer a good fit. :(

I wish I could give Fiddleheads more stars because they have a lot going for them. The service is excellent and the space is beautiful. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite measure up, and my espresso drink this time wasn't as good as on previous visits. My take is that they're doing their best with what they have, but they need more help to deliver on the menu. I came in on a Sunday, late morning, and encountered a long line. I ordered a cappuccino and two sandwiches, one a croissant breakfast sandwich and the other a turkey gouda melt. My drink took a reasonable amount of time given the volume of people, but the wait for the food was so long that I was concerned they forgot the order. I didn't time it, but I would estimate about 20 minutes for the sandwiches. The croissant sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese was quite good, but the turkey melt was a letdown. I would expect a melt to be toasted, but either some equipment was down or they only have an oven to warm up whole sandwiches. Judging from that and the wait time, they might simply not have the equipment to execute on the menu effectively. My cappuccino, which I finished before getting my food, was surprisingly acidic and sour. I've had espresso drinks here before that were very smooth, so I don't know what happened. The people here are so nice, and the beautiful old brick building has lots of great spaces inside and out. Unfortunately, my visit was a disappointment, and I might not be back. Hopefully the great team here gets some better resources to get this cafe delivering better product.

We came here in the morning for coffee which was great. I got the log cabin and didn't even have to tweet it. Customer service and the atmosphere was great. I like the section rooms and space. The murals are beautiful.

This was a cute spot to stop into for a sandwich and drink. I loved the historical building aspect. Plenty of seating to connect with people. There is even a closed conference room upstairs you can reserve. Nice service and plenty of fun drink options! They even use 1883 syrups. Definitely going back

Yummy coffee. I had the s'mores latte. I also had a bacon egg and cheese breakfast Sammy. The extra kick of the ranch on it was superb! The staff were super nice. It has a cozy but airy feel to it. Also: the giving tree -- are you kidding me?? Highly recommend and I'd come back.

This is a great Wisconsin coffee shop. The service is good, and we really appreciate that the baristas are all smiles; they really look happy working at Fiddleheads Menomonee Falls. I appreciate the veggie/ gluten free options and the not-so-big baked goods. The veggie egg sandwich is de-li-cious! Never thought that cucumber would taste so good in an egg sandwich. I like that they also have kombucha, another favorite. I'm glad they also gave a rewards program!

Iced Chai Latte with Almond Milk and a Cinnamon Roll

This coffee shop is such a gem! I've only visited once, but I enjoyed my time immensely. Both my beverage and my pastry were absolutely delicious. The iced chai latte with almond milk was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy (by spicy I mean warm spices like nutmeg and cardamom). Sometimes lattes come with too much milk and not enough chai, but this was made perfectly. The almond milk didn't overpower and water down the chai flavor at all. My cinnamon roll was warm and gooey. The drizzle of icing on top complemented the intense cinnamon flavor nicely. The are plenty of places to sit inside both on the main level and the second floor. The decor is an interesting mix of modern and eclectic - making for a unique yet cozy atmosphere. The couch I sat on upstairs was super comfy! The only reason this coffee shop gets four stars instead of five is because parking can be iffy. There are a few spots right in front, but otherwise you'll probably have to poke around for some street parking. Other than that, I'd highly recommend stopping by for a quick snack and something to sip on!

    Salad and iced matcha latte

I've been here a few times and I always get the iced matcha latte with almond milk. It's one of the more tasty matcha lattes in my opinion, which is why I've been back. I've had a breakfast sandwich from here before which was fine, but last time I had the house salad which I really enjoyed. It was fresh, a really nice size and the dressing was yummy. Sitting outside was nice and peaceful and the inside has plenty of space to sit and get work done or visit with a friend. I will continue to visit this location and am hoping to try the one in Tosa soon.

A very big space for working or just hanging out, also had the best pumpkin spice latte!

Good coffee, spacious coffee shop with good WiFi, nice selection of pastries that go with coffee. Ebullient baristas and kid friendly. Both of these things I find to be negatives, but I'm a curmudgeon. I just cannot stand chirpy and cheerful before my coffee, and I don't like it much after my coffee. I am truly annoyed with nonsense words, they add "at all?" to every sentence. But as I observe, I realize most people like this sort of thing. The happy children near my table would also be a plus for most people. I feel like buying them some triple shot lattes. If I didn't have so much work to do that is exactly what I would do. This is such a family friendly place the parental units are a couple tables away enjoying grown up time. Service might be overly cheerful with excessive wordiness, but it is also very competent and efficient. There seems to be high morale which makes the place different from the non-union Starbucks in the area. They have a parking lot.

    Soup

While waiting in line 2 people came in with incorrect orders. I ordered a bowl of soup to go. Before leaving I checked in the bag and I asked the lady. Are you sure this is the bowl of soup size? Yes absolutely was her response. I took it home. Poured it in a measuring cup and it was 1 cup. Eight dollars for a cup of soup! Disappointing.

I normally get a London Fog Tea Latte, and they used to be very good. These last couple of times, it's as if they steep the tea and then add warmed milk to it. No foam, no creamy texture. Just a mug of tea with flat warm milk. So this time I took my drink back and talked to the barista. I showed her the drink, and she acknowledged that it definitely was not very creamy or foamy. But here is the part that really floored me. She said that they use an "auto steamer" (which is a steaming and frothing device used by larger coffee chains) and that there was nothing they could do about this situation. Seriously? They then just looked at me with blank stares. Totally bizarre for a small local shop that considers itself to be unique and focused on quality.

This shop is such a gem, offering classic bakery staples, delicious macarons, and fun, bakery-themed items. I especially love their "kindness coupons"--such a thoughtful gesture for anyone who could use a little treat. I attended one of their macaron classes, and while I don't know what their kitchen looked like before, it had been fully transformed into a student-friendly workspace with stations set up for each group. After signing in, you're directed to your station and handed an apron. The spots are semi-assigned--if you booked with a friend or a small group, Kasey does a great job placing you together. Everything you need is laid out and ready to go. Kasey walks you through the whole process, checking in along the way and sharing helpful tips she's picked up throughout her macaron-making journey. You and your partner split the batter, but you each get to do your own mixing, choose your colors, and pipe your own shells, which makes it a really hands-on experience. While the macarons are baking, you're treated to sweet bites like brownies or crispy rice treats. Once the macarons have cooled, you fill, package, and--of course--sneak a few tastes along the way. The whole class is so fun, approachable, and well-paced. Afterward, you even get the chance to take home some bakery goodies at a discount! I absolutely love their bakery items, and the class was such a blast. Can't wait to go back!

Date of visit: January 26, 2024…read more Our January version of "Coffee & Kringle" brought us to Batter and Mac in the Falls. A friend had heard that they had gotten some flack from the local Republicans for being pro-LGBT and that was enough for us to go pay them a visit. Staff were wonderful and friendly, even suggesting that I get the Wicked-themed matcha latte with strawberry cold foam, something that I did not think I would necessarily like, but she pushed it hard and you know what? She was right! It was a delicious drink that I may or may not have licked the lid to ensure I got all of the cold foam... My ham and cheese croissant was quite good, though I think it would have been better had it been warmed up. And then I went back for a Scotcheroo and that was fantastic. I had intended to just have a bite that morning and finish it later but there was no way I could do that, I ended up eating the entire thing while we were visiting. Outside of the room temp croissant, the reason for four stars instead of five here is because the bakery gets VERY cold everytime the door opens, I probably should have kept my coat on the whole time we were there. I think one of those ceiling-mounted air units would help mitigate this and get me to stay a bit longer (and order more food!) in the colder months.

The croissant breakfast sandwich was good but the bacon was cooked to nearly dust on one end for some reason. I snapped it off and ate the rest. I asked for crispy but not great hash browns. They were crispy. Check. But also greasy and worse, cold. Not even hardly warm. When she came to check, she asked how things were and I said "Eh" and was about to let her know but she left. So I had to take them home which I explained when I asked someone else for a box (told her they had been served cold but she said nothing). As a note, reheated they were very greasy and not good. The Leanne's special with waffle and eggs and bacon was good. That bacon was cooked right. We also ordered the kids' chicken tenders with fries which were good (but we were overcharged for them which required us to point that out after the check came to get it fixed). Overall, would try here again for breakfast but disappointing as I've been coming here since 2012 when they first opened and had very limited hours and prior to the multiple remodels and expansion next door.

What was your Pandemic hobby? Mine was becoming nerd-Ishly self-reliant for my twice a day iced…read morecoffee habit. After purchasing some additional equipment to supplement my home Cold Brew set up, I was able to cold brew and make home pour overs that I flash chill in a ColdWave Beverage Chiller. When you home brew, you need roasted coffee beans. Since I was largely homebound in the early Pandemic days, I was motivated to buy the best coffee beans from US roasters who ship to my house in CT. JBC from Madison, Wisconsin is one of the roasters that appeared on multiple best US roaster lists. In addition, JBC is one of the roasters that regularly submits its coffees to "Coffee Review", which performs blind taste reviews, scores coffees and reports the scores on its website. Especially within its normal price range, JBC is one of the highest scoring US roasters that I've noticed. That's why JBC is the roaster I order from most frequently. My orders in the past two months have included coffees from Kenya, Ethiopia, Columbia and the Indonesia island of Sumatra. "Coffee Review" rated five of the six JBC coffees I ordered as 94 or 95, which fall in the Top Rated Category. I suspect the other hasn't been rated yet but will score similarly. Many of the other roasters that routinely score this high charge much higher prices than JBC. In this regard, JBC's cost for 12 ounce bags of whole beans in my recent order ranged from, prior to the 10% discount, $18 to $20.50. At these prices, I actually save money home brewing high end coffee instead of getting whatever the local drive-thrus are selling. I can't speak highly enough of JBC's customer service. My recent order is representative. Over the July 4th Weekend, I ordered three bags so I could receive a 10% holiday discount and free shipping. JBC fresh roasted the coffee on 7/6 and shipped my order that day. I received a tracking number, but I know not to worry with ever-reliable JBC. It was waiting in my mailbox for me on 7/8 - high-end coffee, two days after it was roasted. Not to bury the lead, JBC's coffee is routinely fresh and outstanding. Their flavor notes listed on their website and bags are right on. If you home grind and brew, I highly recommend JBC.

First heard of roaster through Coffee Review where they consistently have highly rated coffees. They say coffee(s) ship within days of roast date although the roast date is not labeled.
