Was passing through Cedarburg and decided to get a hot beverage. This was my first time here. Food: One of my favorite drinks is a London Fog Tea Latte. I usually ask for it in a mug, but unfortunately they don't have mugs, so you get a paper cup. I asked for whole milk, a little lavender, and a little vanilla. After I got it and looked inside, I was seriously disappointed. It was pretty much a cup of hot milk with a tea bag floating at the top. It was hot and had reasonably good flavor (the bag was still steeping), but there wasn't much latte texture at all. I didn't even finish it. They have a nice selection of different bakery items, cakes, and cookies. I saw many people enjoying these, but I didn't get anything myself. Service: The folks taking the order were nice. They seemed to know lots of regulars who came in for beverages and food. Atmosphere: The place is super cute. It has an old-time feel to it, with a tin ceiling, wood floors, period lighting, and a cast-iron radiator. The roaster sits in the middle of the place, with a counter all around it for enjoying your drink. Other seating options are along the outside walls and near the front windows. As cute as it is, I'm not likely to stop back. It just doesn't offer a quality beverage that I would enjoy. read more

What an adorable little find! Spending the day walking around Cedarburg and stumbled into this cozy coffee shop. It was not very busy on a Monday afternoon but would be a great place to go get some work done and enjoy a coffee. Staff were very friendly. Incredible coffee shop -- in my opinion currently the best in the City. Three levels of coffee roast available every day -- light, medium, dark. Add in their daily house roast "Cedarburg Blend" and you will always have a myriad of choices. Bakery is top notch and baked in house. The blueberry muffin is my hands down choice if it is available. I love the Roastery! It's a great spot to meet friends downtown Cedarburg. The coffee is delicious and they have options for everyone. Plus, the smell of the beans roasting is the best! I got the white lighting and it was my go to on this trip. It has just the right amount of sweetener for me and the smoothness of the nitro coffee. We also got a Carmel latte that was great. An adorable coffee roastery in the midst of the darling downtown of adorable Cedarburg serving up coffee worthy of adoration. I'm doing this whole intermittent fasting thing, which isn't vital to this review except to say that I found myself in downtown Cedarburg with 30 minutes to kill....smack in the middle of a fast. No problem. Most of the businesses in downtown Cedarburg weren't open so I figured I'd just read some news on my phone as I awaited a 10am appointment. You have 2 hours left of your fast. You can't have coffee. *more gazing longingly out my car window* **Just read the news. Things are happening in the world. When do you ever have the time to read news uninterrupted? This is a luxury. **Now I can't think of a single thing but a cup of coffee. **Really, I'm rarely in Cedarburg. On a super hot morning, my friend and I stopped into Cedarburg Coffee Roastery for our morning beverage. This day was steamy hot and my coffee was ice cold. Perfect combination! Because of COVID, they have rules in place to keep everyone safe. They limit the number of customers allowed inside at one time. There are spaces marked to keep everyone a safe distance apart and the indoor seating has been discontinued. Service was efficient. The staff behind the counter was friendly and helpful. One of the girls was dressed in a ton of red white & blue for the holiday, which looked so festive. They have a huge coffee roaster in display which raised my expectations. I was not disappointed. My Iced Americano was rich and smooth. It was refreshing and satisfying, which got our morning started. After our coffee stop we were on to a great day of shopping! read more

Cute place while Christmas shopping in Cedarburg. Coffee was average, which is interesting since their slogan is a somewhat uninspiring "above average coffee". Asked for mugs for our coffee as we planned to stay at the shop to enjoy, and it is so much more enjoyable to consume in a porcelain vessel. "Haven't done that since Covid," said the barista, even though there were more than a dozen mugs on top of the espresso machine. Then, a slightly older fellow (owner? manager?) called my wife's name as our order was ready. I very nicely mentioned to him that it was just a bit disappointing that they didn't serve coffee in mugs. His response: "nope, we don't," before turning his back on me and walking away. So I said, "well, I think coffee tastes a lot better I a mug." His response, a smug "yep, it sure does," before walking away again. Why? Why would someone respond this way? I had not been here in quite a few years, but stopped by this week when I was in town and it was just how I remembered. I love the setup of this location. The coffee roaster in the middle with the high table surrounding it. Has an antique feel to it, very much fits in with the Cedarburg feel. I do not like coffee and wanted to try an iced tea. There were only a few options and I had trouble deciding, so the barista suggested I try a mango tea. I was unsure because sometimes I do not like mango, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised by it! It was refreshing, and had a really good aftertaste. Also I could taste the spices in there. Sometimes iced tea end up too watery and it messes with the flavor, but this had a good strong flavor without being too intense. Yum! read more

There are so many more businesses in Cedarburg to visit! I hadn't realized, since I primarily visit for Strawberry Fest and Wine and Harvest Fest, just how lovely the little shops are when not choked with throngs of tourists. I stopped by this little spot a few weeks ago, after a somewhat lackluster coffee experience elsewhere. The ambience struck me as cozy and welcoming, with folks sitting around a central bar sipping coffee and talking. I really only wanted a bag of coffee for the week ahead, so I went directly to the back counter. First impressions - the counter was COVERED in gorgeous pastries and baked goods. My perception is slightly skewed by a British Bake Off addiction, but these looked glorious - I'd had lunch, so I didn't sample, but the young lady behind the counter was eager to chat about all of the kinds, and which she liked best. She was also very welcoming and friendly. I asked about the roasts on a few of the different coffee option and found her to be knowledgeable as well. I ordered a bag of the Cedarburg blend - and instead of directing me toward a shelf, they fresh mixed the blend and vacuum sealed it right there - it doesn't get better than that! I'd never had that blend before and it was excellent. Even my Airbnb guests commented on how good that coffee smelled and tasted. Go here. It's a good idea, I promise. read more

I've come here several times since coronavirus shut-down began and I like it. I appreciate that they've instituted strict social distancing requirements for customers with markers on the floor indicating where they should stand. HOWEVER, the staff DO NOT practice social distancing and DO NOT WEAR FACEMASKS! For a business that deals with many people in the course of a day, this is UNACCEPTABLE, not just for the public but especially for the staff! When the staff start practicing what they preach I will be happy to return. Until then I think I'll pass. read more

Good gracious this place is delicious!!! Hit them up while walking through downtown Cedarburg. We kept our order simple, but there is SO much to choose from here!!! So many varieties of fresh coffee, ginormous cookies, iced coffee, gelato, biscotti....the list goes on! We got gelato and iced coffee and both were fabulous. Our friends got lattes and said they were wonderful as well. Very clean business and cute decor inside!!! I'm a little jealous I don't have a place like this near me back home. Prices are perfect for the fare offered and the parking was easy enough on the street although you may have a little bit of a walk on a busy Saturday.
