Date of visit: January 22, 2026…read more A fun little place in Grafton to wait while your husband has a procedure down the road at Aurora. Okay, you don't have to have that specific scenario to enjoy this cozy spot! You could tell that this was a big meeting place for the locals and regulars, though despite being neither, I didn't feel out of place or viewed askance, which I really appreciated. My Salted Caramel Mocha was a thing of rare beauty and joy, and I went ahead and signed up for their loyalty club at the same time (who doesn't like freebies in exchange for your soul/data?). If you want to work out of this location, make sure you have a fully charged battery as there are few outlets in the inner cafe area; the outer area is better equipped that way but was decidedly lacking in heat and not a place I could stay for any larger amount of time! Since I was there a while, I also went with a peanut butter cake, though I was disappointed to find out that you earn no points on food, just coffee. The cake was very good but also very rich, and I wish that had water on hand to help me finish it!

Always fantastic! The place is full of life any given day of the week, and the staff are always…read morefriendly and patient. I love their speciality coffee drinks, which go beyond simply adding this syrup or that one; they're genuinely creative and suit the season or holiday well. Whether you're looking for a traditional macchiato or a fancy beverage with whipped cream and chocolate, you can get it here and know that it will be delicious. This is a perfect place to catch up with friends, get some work done alone, or just read a book. The shop itself is more spacious than a lot of coffee shops in the area and retains that classic old brick industrial building charm, situated on the first floor of the historic Grafton Arts Mill (which you can also check out if you want to see some great local art!)

You could reasonably get into a book here or get some work done if you wanted to. The outdoor space is excellent. It's shared with Sahale next door but there's tons of seating and you'll always see families hanging around, especially during events. I had a Mint-Vanilla Au Lait (seasonal) and it was nice and drinkable. The mint was more of a scent than a flavor, so the iced beverage hit the spot on this hot summer morning! I prefer this Fiddleheads to the local Colectivo and they're about 2 blocks apart. Go here if you want a quick coffee.

I'll never come back to Fiddleheads again. My mom ordered a latte and the coffee itself has a sour taste which I've heard from others too! It was a $7 latte and she ended up tossing it. All of their flavored syrups are the Monin brand so nothing homemade and very artificial tasting. I ordered a bagel and it was $5, and it came with a Jif PB packet and Smuckers jelly. I wish they would at least have homemade jam or a peanut butter that doesn't have terrible fillers and oil in its product. I then asked for cream cheese and it also came in a packet. The bagel ended up being hard after 20 minutes and I had to toss. The prices are so overpriced for the quality.

Was passing through Cedarburg and decided to get a hot beverage. This was my first time here…read more Food: One of my favorite drinks is a London Fog Tea Latte. I usually ask for it in a mug, but unfortunately they don't have mugs, so you get a paper cup. I asked for whole milk, a little lavender, and a little vanilla. After I got it and looked inside, I was seriously disappointed. It was pretty much a cup of hot milk with a tea bag floating at the top. It was hot and had reasonably good flavor (the bag was still steeping), but there wasn't much latte texture at all. I didn't even finish it. They have a nice selection of different bakery items, cakes, and cookies. I saw many people enjoying these, but I didn't get anything myself. Service: The folks taking the order were nice. They seemed to know lots of regulars who came in for beverages and food. Atmosphere: The place is super cute. It has an old-time feel to it, with a tin ceiling, wood floors, period lighting, and a cast-iron radiator. The roaster sits in the middle of the place, with a counter all around it for enjoying your drink. Other seating options are along the outside walls and near the front windows. As cute as it is, I'm not likely to stop back. It just doesn't offer a quality beverage that I would enjoy.

The "best" local place that was open in January was The Chocolate Chisel. My family and I stopped and each got a cone. I also got three truffles. The truffles I bought were chai tea milk, experimint milk (ganache with peppermint extract), and peppermint hot chocolate. The chai tea and experimint milk truffles both tasted like they should based on their descriptions, but I wouldn't wantto buy either again. The peppermint hot chocolate had some crushed peppermint on top, but other than the chocolate being in the shape of a mug, nothing about it reminded me of hot chocolate. Ultimately I don't think any of them were worth the price. The ice cream was lackluster. Both of my kids got cookies and cream in a cake cone and thought it was skimpy on the cookies part. My wife and I sprung for waffle cones with ours and were both disappointed in the excessive cone to ice cream ratio that heavily favored the cone. She got plain chocolate and it was fine. I, however, got banana-rama and ended up throwing it out because it tasted more like butter pecan than anything banana related. I even went back inside and verified with the employee that it wasn't mislabeled in the case.

The place is super cute and aside from the ice cream, they have a bunch of different homemade chocolates. I'm ready to go back to visit my parents so we can stop by for some more ice cream.
