I always enjoy stopping in here when I am in the area. Their speciality drinks are always delicious, and so are the staples. I've never had anything bad to eat from there (most recently had the turkey panini and YUM!) and their sweets are always tasty. It's a cozy little corner shop, with a good amount of seats and a great outdoor area for the warmer weather days. The employees are always super sweet, and it's just always a nice experience. read more

Such a charming café! The decorations and environment were so welcoming and cozy. I ordered a Turkey Bog Wrap and a "Muddy" latte (mint & chocolate). Both were quite good, the inclusion of the berries in the wrap really upped the flavor quality. The staff were very helpful and kind when I asked for a drink recommendation. While service can be slow, their Moonshine drink is not to be missed. Iced Turkish coffee, brewed coffee, cream and ice. It's a perfect caffeine lunch on a warm summer day. I should really branch out (and will probably will) but this drink has me coming back. read more

My husband and I came to this coffee shop on Sunday, 8/25 for the very first time. I had some questions about the coffee and other drinks on their menu. The woman acted like I was bothering her. Then another woman interrupted and added more information which was nice but again, she wasn't the most pleasant. After I was given my drink (because I had never had that drink before) I told all the ladies behind that counter (there were at least 5 people-not to mention they were not doing anything but looking bored) that I REALLY liked my drink. I assumed I would've gotten "that's great! Come again! What I received was a look and a half smile. THIS IS HOW YOU CONDUCT YOUR BUSINESS?!??! I had heard many times over that this place had dirty bathrooms and the people that work there need a CLASS on Customer Service!! Smile ladies when people come to the register. Look at us when we order. If we have questions, please answer in a pleasant voice and not look away while you answer us so we cant hear you. Word of mouth goes along way and unfortunately if the owner and manager dont take these reviews seriously, well.. they wont last long. read more

Found another gem this place is well worth a stop. Very fresh yummy food reasonably priced. Excellent selection of teas both hot and cold. Friendly chill staff, couple little add-on items to purchase if you like teas or coffee mugs little bit of jewelry , small selection of wonderfully scented handmade soaps. We stopped by on a 85° day and my daughter loved the fresh smoothie. We sat inside to view the traffic going by but there was a deck also. Parked just down the street at public parking lot less than half a block away. I enjoyed my dinner breakfast burrito made southwest style extra yummy. read more

In a time where we need to keep each other safe, the staffs clear disregard for wearing their face coverings was disconcerting. When I asked about it, they didn't seem to get it. Our order was already ready for take out so I didn't stiff the restaurant. Bread was great on the blt, very good veg out salad and coffee was excellent. Passed this place when we were first in the area back in March. My friend and I were curious about this place, so we asked some friends who have lived in the area for awhile and they absolutely love it and we decided why not! Their drinks are all hand made with love and they serve breakfast all day! Everything is handmade, fresh, organic, and they use local vendors, which is pretty awesome in my book. What a great find! "You can have all of this world but just give me Jesus." Then "Give me Jesus" about another 57 times. Apparently owners of The Coffee Corner like Jesus, because they set their XM satellite radio station to the Jesus station. I'm sure Jesus was a pretty swell guy, being in the son of God and all that, but I gotta tell ya ... I friggin' HATE Jesus pop music. I'd rather listen to rapped Scandinavian death metal polka than Christian pop music. So I am thankful that the XM feed randomly drops out 3 or 4 times every minute giving me brief respites from the Jesus lovefest. Other than that, the Coffee Corner is pretty innocuous. They serve a solid cup of Collectivo coffee with an expansive selection of pastries that will plump one up for Winter. In addition, they have free wifi and it's kinda cute. So overall, The Coffee Corner is a nice little place to satisfy your coffee Jones, but Christ, for the love of God, enough with the Jesus pop!! (Related: I'm going to Hell, aren't I?) read more

I've driven by this place numerous times over the last few years for work, and never stopped in until earlier today. Now I'm kicking myself for not making a regular coffee run there when I'm in the area. Their coffee makes Starbucks' coffee taste like sludge in comparison. Not even good sludge- like, the stuff 2 layers below the sewer water that the layer of poop is afraid to touch kinda sludge... Seriously- this is some damn good coffee. As for the food- VERY good, although served in kind of small, "lunch-sized" portions at typical coffee-shop pricing. If you're looking to really pig out, plan on spending a little bit extra. The size of the menu also left a little to be desired... the only thing better than their sandwiches would be more of them and in bigger portions. I highly recommend stopping in. read more

As a seasoned regular, this is my go to coffee joint. Fast, friendly service. Great coffe and menu. Always a newspaper kicking around and wireless to boot. What's not to like? If you're new in town, pull around back for lots, (no pun intended) of parking. read more

What a nice find in a very small town! Had their dark chocolate mocha (could've been hotter) which was average... I tend to like a little more rich chocolate flavor and less sweet. Had their drip coffee (stored in air pot - boo!), which was tasty-- beans from a roaster in Milwaukee. Refreshingly they were not over-roasted, coffee had good flavor. I also one day had the nuts/peanut butter/honey bagel. Delicious. But like 1000 calories. Could get the same bang with a lot less nuts on top.... but nonetheless, creative, DELICIOUS and healthy. I recommend this place as they daily have homemade yummies (no whole wheat or lower cal options though, but hey, this is small town Wisconsin), art work for sale on the wall and homemade soap and the ubiquitous Wisconsin dish rags as well. Oh and some crafty handmade jewelry too. Nice and friendly staff as well. Come get a cup of Joe! read more

My wife and I have driven by this place countless times and always been curious, but on the Saturday before Easter we had some time to stop, so we did. What a great place! We just went for coffee, haven't tried the food yet, but as vegetarians we did notice several options for us. The atmosphere is great, loved the artwork. We travel a lot and spend time in coffee shops now & then, this totally put us right back to coffee shops in Italy, Chile, Russia... we loved it. We'll start being regular customers now :) read more

Simply one of the best coffee houses in southeastern wisconsin. I have traveled in the area a lot and have 6 coffee places within a couple miles of my house, but they lack the consistently good service and food. Coffee, smoothie, soup or sandwich, it doesn't matter, it's always good. It is small, quaint, and worth a stop if your heading up or down hwy 45. read more

We stopped here on our way south from camping in Kettle Moraine, and it was perfect! Great coffee (Colectivo), calm and welcoming atmosphere, healthy menu, tasty food! Baked oatmeal (with maple syrup), breakfast panino (with tomato, sprouts, provolone), and breakfast burrito were all a hit. Kid-friendly. Great outdoor space. This place is cute and cozy, with some weird local art for sale on the walls. The staff was very friendly as well. This place uses the traditional method for grinding and brewing espresso, so drinks take a while to make. Don't come here in a hurry. My cafe au lait was quite good, but my peanut butter muffin was pretty bland. I enjoyed the environment and will probably return, as I find myself with extra time in this area, but this is not like a chain coffee shop. read more

I Grew up coming to Coffee Corner! And even now that I live about an hour away it is still one of my favorite coffee shops (and I even work in a different local coffee shop- shh!) My favorite is the euphoria and a kettle special! I love that they use local ingredients and colectivo coffee! There have been times that I have come in that staff can be a little... Crabby, maybe. But majority of the time it's been pleasant! I wish I still lived closer so I could come every day! I'm a photographer so I love that they host local artists as well. As long as coffee corner is around, it will always have a special place in my heart! read more

Great service, great food, great drinks! The barista answered our questions, the breakfast burrito had great flavor and the coffee was better than most corporate coffee shops offer. I drive 30 minutes from Milwaukee for a Latte, fresh pastry and the quiet atmosphere. I just recently took home some Tuscan sausage soup for my wife because it sounded so good. It was fabulous!! To my surprise, they also packed large helpings of a wonderful fresh bread. And to top everything off...Free Wifi !! So visit the Coffee Corner. You won't be disappointed. read more

We are a locally owned restaurant/coffeehouse that specializes in local ingredients, scratch baking and authentic espresso drinks. Specials change daily and our menu has something for everyone! Let us greet you with a warm smile and a hot cuppa coffee :-)

History

Established in 1999.

Our cafe was opened for business in early January of 1999 by my mother, Cindy Gruber, after an extensive rehab of the historic Kewaskum building. We began small and focused on learning how to make the perfect espresso drink. Eventually food and bakery was added to the mix. The business was purchased by myself and my husband in September of 2006 and we continued to help it evolve by adding more staff, a dedicated menu and extended hours. July 3, 2007 our building was struck by lightening and started on fire. After a second extensive rehab we reopened stronger than ever! Our bread, bakery, soups, pastas, granola and even mocha sauce is made daily, from scratch, in house. We strive to give our customers the very best, every time.

Coffee Corner is my first child! My husband and I love the challenge of running a business together. So many facets of this business give me a creative outlet. From cooking to baking to marketing to socializing to gardening to decorating...there is a lot to love and be proud of. We hope that others will love it here as much as we do. Our customers are our extended family! My husband, Tony, is a full time police officer and we have three boys ages 9, 8 and 2. Work and family keep us very busy but we wouldn't have it any other way- we are truly blessed!

I said pay for my food and she just kept saying she was busy. The gm there who was also working and just standing there saw and was doing nothing I was trying to pay for my for for 40 min and I got no service or any person and they expect everyone to pay with a card and at a kiosk when its busy and the kiosk was also broken after 2 people used it. I get being under staffed but there is no reason to yell at your customers for only being able to pay with cash and not card. And if u want to use cash you shouldn't have to use the drive thru. And whenever I go thru the drive thru my order is always messed up and never fixed when I ask it to be. A new gm needs to be there and if you dont like confrontation you shouldn't work in fast food.

In my opinion, they were people just trying to make trouble for this great little place. I not here frequently. But, it is along my route from the U.P. going down to Chicago. Most D.Q.'s are good. But this one is especially neat, clean, and cheerful place. And comments about sullen employees make no sense. Every time I've been there the employees were also neat and clean. And very polite. Again I suspect an ulterior motive in alleging bad service. I usually stop in for ice cream related stuff. But when I did order food. It was hot and good.

They were excellent. This time, we also ordered an extra cup of the coating for a little more dipping. A fun treat after a busy day. Service: We received terrific service. The staff greeted us with friendly smiles, and our cones were ready quickly. Atmosphere: Unfortunately, this is where the experience fell short. The dining area didn't appear to be well maintained. Several tables were sticky, and there was litter on the floor. It really needs someone keeping an eye on the dining room to make sure it stays clean throughout the day. The biggest disappointment, however, was the restroom. As soon as I walked into the men's room, I noticed an unpleasant odor. The plumbing fixtures have clearly seen better days and could use some attention. The ice cream and service were both very good, but unfortunately the condition of the restaurant detracted from the overall experience. It's not a location I'd be eager to return to.

Had the Bloody Mary with chaser, slightly spicy, was very good. We started with the tempura brussel sprouts, absolutely delicious. We kept changing our minds on what to eat and we decided on the brisket grilled cheese and we were not disappointed. The Gouda cheese, brisket, and mushrooms were a great flavor. Server was amazing and very accommodating. All in all a fantastic lunch. Highly recommend.
