St Patrick's favorite with eggs over easy

Didn't expect to find this little gem amidst the beautiful rolling hills of wisconsin. We decided to eat breakfast here before we make our pilgrimage up the hill, chapel, and tower. This cafe indeed is rich in history and character. This makes for a very rustic, yet homely ambiance. Breakfast was a thumbs up, made-to-order and fresh. I ordered St Patrick's favorite (eggs, hash browns, corned beef hash, toast). The oj was bottled, which is okay, but was almost room temp. I was told its usually in the drink coolers but they must have forgotten to stock it. That was the one and only hiccup. Be it breakfast or lunch, there is much much variety of food and beverage with made-from-scratch taste. Our fam ended up coming back for lunch. My cream of potato and bacon soup was awesome. Others had items such as burgers, nachos, and sandwiches, no complaints from anyone. Having the kids with us, we couldn't help but buy some cookies for the road. When the young lady asked us how many brownies we wanted, we said "All of them". Apologies from our family, brownies were sold out.

Holy cow! We're on a country drive from one Wisconsin place to another and looking for breakfast…read more We spy the Red Apple Cafe and take a chance. The place is clean with lovely finishes and upscale touches. The staff are so kind and friendly. We followed the suggestions of the staff and ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes and the cowboy skillet. I stopped eating to share this review because we love it so much. The barista prepared perfect lattes. The pancakes are both crispy and fluffy and not too dense. The perfect amount of icing to finish it. The cowboy skillet has the ratio of diced potatoes, chopped bacon, and jalapeños mastered. Take the drive and come here for breakfast or lunch. So worth it!

The coffee was there almost before I ordered. I had a hard time choosing what to have as their menu had so many great options. Not too many like a Greek diner, but each item looked better than the last. I decided upon the Maria skillet, chorizo, jalapenos, and cheese with over easy eggs over hash browns, YUM!!! I opted for the side of pancakes over toast, because, why not?? My food arrived quickly, and the whipped butter served with the pancakes was not stone cold but easily spread, and the pancakes themselves were lightly sweet and fluffy, just the way you want them to be when you want to get your day going right. The skillet was amazing, eggs cooked perfectly, hash browns crispy and tender, chorizo cooked perfectly, this was a breakfast fit for the big day I had ahead of me. Thank you Red Apple Cafe, you will see me again soon!!!

My mom knows the owner, Meg, and she is such a wonderful presence!! The storefront itself is so cute, I love that it's in a little house and there's plenty of space inside for sitting, groups, and events! When we came on Saturday there was actually a baby shower happening in the main room and I thought the space was perfect for this. I ordered a glow smoothie, matcha latte, and a carrot muffin. The muffin was delicious - tasted very healthy but also sweet and was the perfect morning treat after a workout. The smoothie was also great and pretty filling. The matcha was amazing. I've had matcha at a few different places in Delafield and have not been super thrilled about them. This one was great and I would 100% recommend it - not too sweet and didn't just taste like oat milk. Meg told us that in order to serve this tea, the matcha company basically had to interview her and instruct her on the best ceremonial practices. I thought that the care the servers put into the matcha was really special. Overall, such a great space to stop by if you're in the area or are in need of a gathering place!! The servers and Meg are wonderful and I definitely recommend.

I wouldn't imagine there are seats in there but there were a couple outside!

First time here. Here with my sister to have a conversation, a hot beverage, and a piece of bakery…read more Glad we did. Food: I checked online before coming, and they have an impressive list of drinks, both hot and cold. We ordered a couple of lattes. Mine was a London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla) in a mug, and hers was a Coffee Vanilla Latte with almond milk. They did a great job with both of them. My London Fog had great flavor, well-textured foam, and was a good temperature. They did leave the tea bag in, which might be their standard practice, but I prefer the tea to be fully steeped and then have the bag removed. Otherwise, removing the bag later messes with all the wonderful foam (next time I would ask). Each of us got a scone. Mine was blueberry, and hers was white chocolate raspberry, warmed up and plated. Both were very good. If I had to be completely honest, these scones are more like muffins than traditional scones. However, they were both delicious. Service: As soon as we walked up to the counter, it was nothing but friendly vibes and helpful service. They stepped us through the details of the order ("whole milk okay, how much flavor, etc."). They didn't rush the orders and took their time getting them right. When the bakery items were heated up, they brought them to our table. I always got the feeling that they truly appreciated us being there. Atmosphere: The building is a quaint, wonderfully maintained historic brick building. There are café tables outside that would be great on a warmer day. When you enter, you are taken back in time. The vibe is authentic and relaxed. Much of the interior looks like it may be from long ago. It's a bit cluttered, which could be distracting, but I think it fits. There are enough windows to bring in a good amount of natural light. The counter has a large array of pastries, muffins, cookies, etc. The main area doesn't have a lot of seating, and I did find it a bit loud. There is a separate seating area toward the back with several more tables and much less noise, which is where we sat. A very good first visit. Would definitely come back again.
