Traveling through Cedarburg, I decided I needed a hot beverage. I have been to several other Fiddlehead locations and have found them to be pretty consistent. This location offers a nice coffee shop experience. Food: I ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte. They serve their beverages in a mug and on a plate, which for me is always an upgrade from a paper cup. It was made perfectly with whole milk, a little lavender, and a little vanilla, with a great aroma and a nice bit of frothy foam. I would normally get one of their scones, but I was saving myself for lunch. Next time! Service: I got a friendly greeting and had some nice chatting with the person taking my order. Atmosphere: This location is a bit smaller than some of their other ones. It is set up with seating in several different areas. It was quiet, and people were having casual conversations. If course my daughter got the hot chocolate and I got the Americano! lol my daughter has enough energy as it is! lol The dinks were delicious. The service was great and friendly! Adorable and comfy coffee shop where you feel like a hallmark movie set! Admittedly I judge places on thier ability to use nondairy and make chai. Theirs earned 5 stars! Place can be a bit cramped when busy as it wasn't purposely built as a coffee shop but rather an old house that's now a coffee shop. The service is usually pretty good and the wait isn't always bad but has been a little touch and go. They have a zillion flavor syrups and list like 5 so I would love to see a better menu on that if possible. Food is good but this place is very meat and cheese forward. Very few option if your not wanting meat and or cheese. Definitely a cozy little spot and a great patio but I just like it, don't love it ‍ read more

Love this cute little Fiddleheads in cute little Cedarburg! Giving all the mom and pop vibes. They offer lots of great options for cafe drinks, including everything espresso, various teas, smoothies, lemonades and rotating specialty drinks. There's also plenty on the food menu for breakfast and lunch. But if you're just looking for a snack, be sure to grab a bakery item, which is what we did! A very tasty raspberry crumble bar went well with our iced latte & matcha latte. What I like most about this place is all of the outdoor seating to be enjoyed when the weather is nice. There's a nice wood overhang that wraps around the back and side of the building where you'll find plenty of tables. It's all very welcoming. We sat outside with our goodies and noted what a lovely area it is. We would no doubt return. read more

Wasted $23 here this morning on a tiny sandwich and small coffee. Coffee tasted like warm milk; no flavor that I could taste, and cheap, watery oat milk. Couldn't even drink it. I picked the gnarly, hard-around-the-edges turkey off of the petrified bread. Go to The Roastery next door, Java House or Starbucks in Cedarburg, any of which is far better than this place. I love fiddleheads! So many great options if you just want coffee or smoothies but also a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch! This summer, the matcha has been my favorite of all the places! Fiddleheads is an amazing independent coffee shop in Cedarburg with lots of indoor and outdoor space, great coffee and food, and good service. Capuccino was great, I bought some whole bean coffee to take home, which was terrific. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed our freshly made sandwiches! We stopped in for a quick beverage while shopping. Fiddleheads is a great little coffee shop. From the moment you walk through the door, the wonderful fresh coffee aroma welcomes you. I love local businesses because of the unique personalized experience they offer. This shop is small yet spacious with a top notch staff. They provided professional and friendly service. My sisters tried their coffee and I tried their tea. We loved everything. Their coffee was rich and smooth. My iced mango black tea was fresh and tasty. The interior felt a bit dark but still comfortable. We sat outside watching the Washington Avenue activity. I saw another cute sitting area in the back also. A wonderful coffee shop nestled in the beautiful town of Cedarburg. I was visiting the area and found myself at this coffee shop every morning. The staff is wonderful and the coffee is outstanding! This is definitely a local favorite as it was always filled with patrons. The inside has a few different rooms to eat in and there is a wonderful outside area that has plenty of seating. I personally didn't think the Coffee was anything special. It wasn't bad by any means but nothing special. But the baked goods are great and the service is friendly. They have a cute little area to sit down with friends for coffee and a nice bathroom. I give it 4 stars for the vibe and the baked goods. read more

Drip coffee was cold, room temp. They need to check the drip coffee urns to make sure they're hot. Used a Thermos so didn't find that out until back at the office unfortunately. Didn't drink it due to no idea how old it was (from the day before?). Sammy was so-so, nothing special. Description says "served toasted" but it was more like a sandwich made in a home kitchen; soft bread (not toasted), lunchmeat and some toppings. Bakery wasn't a great bake, dry bordering on stale. A drip coffee, scone, and sammy, + tip, cost around $22. Seemed high for what you get. Ambience and staff were both very good. read more

Before we left Wisconsin, we stopped by here to get some fancy coffee and tea drinks. I got a lavender white mocha and my boyfriend got this amazing tea latte; I forgot what it was exactly but I think there was ginger in it. Service was nice and even though there was a bit of a line, it went by really quickly. Only minor complaint that I had was that I wish I knew that the coffee latte was going to be iced. So very disappointed yesterday morning. We were enjoying our coffee as many regulars do. Around 10:00 am two gentlemen were leaving and I noticed the elderly gentleman was called back by a barista. I thought he may have forgotten something and I thought how kind. She then instructed the elderly man to return his chair back to where it belonged. Really???? He appeared to be 80+ years old and seemed to have a little difficulty walking. He complied and then left. So sad to see the utter disrespect. We stopped by for coffee around 5pm and it was warm out so I ordered a blended mocha. I'm sipping it as I write this - it is my far the best mocha I've had in my entire life. It is so finely blended and the flavor is incredible - reminds me of the inadvertent chocolate milk created by cocoa pebbles cereal .... but with espresso. I actually had to stop the barista to ask what syrup they use bc I need to replicate this at home. read more

I've been going to Fiddleheads since they opened in Thiensville. Now they deservedly have more shops in this area. The friendliness and attitude of the staff is always a warm point with me. Favorite coffee shop in the area as far as taste goes. The employees are typically young student types, hit or miss on friendliness. The prices are a bit over that of Starbucks for a latte, but the prime location downtown makes up for it to me. I do wish there were more outlets inside. I typically go to work on things with my laptop, and getting a spot with an outlet isn't always possible since there are only 3. The upstairs space is lined with them, it would be great if that was available downstairs as well. read more

I wanted - want to love this place. I think it's really close to great - small tweaks and it could be exceptional! As it stands, it's solid right now. I drove up to Cedarburg from Milwaukee on one grey and cold Sunday afternoon - total cabin fever weather, but I needed to get some work done. I'd enjoyed an iced coffee during various summer festivals, but hadn't really been inside properly on a typical afternoon. I headed down the sidewalk, debated another shop briefly, but the "creme brulee latte" on the side pulled me in the door. Ambiance - warm, but not terribly inviting. There aren't really the kinds of cozy chairs that invite you to sit awhile and get comfortable. Lots of tiny tables, and an L-shaped layout that make it difficult to tell off the bat if you'll be able to take a seat at all. Counter service was fine - no gluten free bread, and no non-flour based soup options (no worries, I had an emergency caramel apple with me). No salads in the cooler, no fresh fruit for purchase - don't come hungry if you have dietary needs. I asked for my latte in a cup to stay, and it was somehow 6.00 for a 16oz size. Very sweet. Not memorable, but not bad either. Stood awkwardly with my hot cup in my hands (no saucer) trying to navigate the line and look for a place to sit (layout again - it's HARD to move in here). Luckily another patron was leaving. Free wifi, no time limits. I got my work done. Not super memorable. read more

I'm pretty surprised to see the negative reviews for Fiddleheads based on my experience today. I went here for the first time and had an excellent latte! I had it plain over ice, and the espresso was really excellent. It was very smooth, not bitter, and I didn't have to add any sweetener at all. I found the service here to be nice and friendly, and there's a nice variety of spaces to sit, both inside and outside. All in all, I think this is an excellent coffee shop and I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in town! read more

If you are out biking on the Ozaukee Interurban bike trail, this is a nice stop along the way. I have stopped here several times over this past summer on and have had a nice chai tea here each time. The first time through, I thought there were picnic tables in back the sit and relax on in the shade of a nice tree - which actually belonged to the neighboring business. So now the back yard is not nearly as appealing (sitting on the ground) - the shade is still nice. There is also a nice patio along the side of the coffee shop is nice and shaded as well, with cafe style seating. Inside is a nice place to sit as well, with a nice atmosphere. The service has always been pleasant, if not necessarily the quickest. Usually it is pretty typical. My last stop, however, there must have been an issue - because it took much longer than normal to get my normal fare from here. This is a regular stop, mostly because it is familiar - and a great location to stop. read more

The service was slow and the cashier was actually a bit rude. I asked for a Flat White and she informed me they can't do that. I said ok could she charge me for the individual parts that make a flat white and still make it (after I told her how they are made, it isn't hard). She informed me if I wanted that I could go to another coffee shop and was sarcastic. I was tired and caffeine deprived so I got a small cappuccino. I was surprised to see they open at 7 on a Sunday. That seems later than I would have expected especially since they were busy almost immediately, or the perception is that it was busy as the space to order was very small and cramped. When biking through Cedarburg we always stop at Fiddleheads. Its a great stop just off of the bike trail in downtown Cedarburg. The coffee is good. It is smooth and not bitter. The service is always fast and for the most part friendly. They tend to be a bit busy which can lend some of the barristers' to be short, but that is to be expected. My daughter is a huge fan of their homemade chocolate chip cookies, and if I say so myself, they are quite delicious. I have snuck a bite here and there. If you are a wee bit peckish try one out. After your cup of coffee they are in the perfect location to stroll the downtown streets of Cedarburg and check out the quaint shops. They also serve a cafe menu of breakfast sandwiches, quiches, salads, and deli sandwiches. They do have a kids menu if you ask. Our daughter has found them family friendly. Seating can be hard to come by. We usually sit outside. read more

In town again with my husband and aunt this time. We stopped in on Saturday afternoon to get drinks. The young man behind the register had no idea of what he was doing. He kept putting the wrong drink orders into the register and asked us multiple times what we wanted. So OK, maybe he was new and training, so we tried to be patient and we did repeat our drink orders to him. But the woman who was making the drinks was snapping a little at him, which wasn't cool. She looked at him and said in a very terse voice, "Did you only enter two drinks?" I immediately said to her, "Well, he certainly charged us for three because our bill was over $11." She practically barked at me, "I know that! I was only asking him because he entered a hot coffee instead of cold!" Alrighty then. So rude and unprofessional. She also made my aunt's drink wrong - she made it a latte, when my aunt did not order a latte. Good thing my aunt was watching her make the drink because she poured milk into it and my aunt is lactose-intolerant. I'm not really a coffee drinker but I used to stop in for a yummy veggie sandwich with their homemade veggie cream cheese for lunch. No more I guess. They told us all their sandwiches are now pre-packaged and just dispersed out to their locations from the main one so I can no longer get that sandwich or anything like it. I was staying in cedarburg for a holiday vacation this year and walked into Fiddleheads for some tea. The staff there could not have been less friendly. I am a small business owner and if my staff treated my customers with the contempt and irritation the staff at Fiddleheads did they would be fired. The male employee was especially rude and dismissive. I actually left and went next door to the cedarburg coffee roastery where the staff smiled and was nothing, but pleasant. I will be back to cedarburg again for vacation, however will never go back to Fiddleheads Coffee Shop. read more
