Where to even begin with how incredible Cave Catering was? First, people were raving about the food for days. We had the lamb chops when we went for the (super professional, beautiful, immaculate) tasting and fell in love. We knew everyone would love them, and we were right! The shrimp cocktail was divine, and we also had the shrimp aguachile shooters because we couldn't decide between the two. Grilled cheese, bruschetta, and caprese skewers were also a hit because they were so easy to eat at a cocktail hour and tasted delicious. On top of that, Chef Nicole saved our wedding multiple times before it even happened. Any time we asked for something (renting linens, silverware, extra servers), she was quick to respond and provided anything we needed. We even texted her at 11pm the night before the rehearsal dinner because we figured out our chargers were broken. Her chargers were rented out that weekend, but she tracked some down and brought them to the wedding. The day of our event, she was on time, professional, and provided amazing staff. Ordered this for a yummy lunch on Uber eats and I was NOT disappointment. Let's get the ugly why I couldn't give it 5 stars my first go... I received a personal hand written note asking for my genuine feedback back so here it is - I love mashed potatoes, especially garlic and a lot of flavor. These were pretty good...but not great. I had to add a bit of stuff to appease me but it was a great texture and was a good side dish. The pork sliders didn't have sauce on it (maybe it doesn't come with it and I misread that? But that made it "dry" in my opinion but the pork itself was in no way dry. So this was over great. I will be back and I hope to try the steaks next time! Honestly I didn't have any expectations when we hired Chef Nicole and Chef Juan to cater our tennis event for 140 tennis players but they exceeded every expectation and went above and beyond. Chef Nicole was super generous in entertaining our budget and what we had to work with and she was super gracious about it. I was so grateful for her kindness. I wouldn't have envisioned myself having a meal like this but I'm so glad I did. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself or someone else. You won't regret it. We started with bread with vinegar and oil and an old fashioned. The old fashioned was great, not too sweet, so I had three. We were also cautioned not to eat too much of the bread or else we would be too full. The bread was delicious so I didn't follow this advice. Next was a tomato bisque with garlic bread and a cheese crisp, just right to whet our appetites. After old fashioned number two, entrees arrived: a gigantic ribeye, Parmesan broccolini, and a delicious arugula salad with a tart vinaigrette. The ribeye was the best I've had - rich and perfectly cooked. The fat melted in the mouth and the homemade rub (coffee, cocoa, and a million other things) perfectly complemented the superb quality of the beef.
