Got delivery from bk tree today. I ordered fries and a burger with sriracha honey and bbq sauces and pickled vegetables on side. Burger was great cooked medium rare perfect, fries were also great not too soft after being delivered in the cold. I was nervous about sauces bc I hate Mayo so much but they were both so good??! Like They gave me sooo many pickled vegetables and included a soup For free, I think it was squash? Idk but it was SO good. Excited to try more from here. We planned to meet midway between Astoria and Canarsie and this was a great location. Off the L train. It is very small, cozy and casual. We all loved the kale and quinoa salad. My friends ordered the falafel burger and really enjoyed it. We also had a side of potato fries which were tasty. Sauces are $0.50 extra though. The staff are friendly and helpful. read more

Food is on and off: the recipes seem inconsistent. I've ordered here more than once and I will continue to order, but the same exact dish will taste delicious one time and rotten the next. It's not the best thing in the world to have a restaurant with food that's like rolling the dice. To be honest, I only order here when I'm hungry and my preferred restaurants happen to be closed, but I've also been pretty forgiving and tried many different dishes (some good, some bad, like I said) and been a consistent, paying customer in the end. Staff unfortunately has an ego though, which is starting to become a major turnoff. When I made a specific request for how to do my delivery the first few times they completely ignored it, meaning that they tried to give my food to my neighbors, so in subsequent orders I explicitly reminded them not to give my food to my neighbor which they scoffed at me for as if I was the idiot. Not to be rude, but if you don't want to be babied in how to do your job, don't make dumb mistakes in the first place so that we don't lose faith in your ability to perform basic tasks (and show some humility by acknowledging your own shortcomings instead of getting defensive). Fix the food consistency and staff inferiority complex issues and I think they're on their way to a much better rating. read more

Really solid!! Stoked to have some super quality grub in the neighborhood. I got the chicken schnitzel sandwich add avo (cuz I'm from CA and avo is natures butter and I literally eat on it things where it does not belong) and it came with a huge kale and quinoa salad which despite being very healthy ALSO TASTES GOOD. That combined with a side of honey sriracha and some of the unsweetened ginger iced tea.. Forget. Def worth a visit. The rudest service I have ever encountered in my life at any type of restaurant. After waiting to pick up a delivery, and watching 4 other separate orders get filled and placed on the counter I asked very civilly and politely if the order I was waiting for would be ready soon. The response was "it'll be ready when it's ready" essentially F U. I said " I'm sorry, what was that" maybe with a little attitude... the response was "I told you it'll be ready when it's ready, I don't want to hear you ask again, you're voice is annoying" Any civility in my "annoying" voice quickly disappeared and I made perfectly clear what I thought of his attitude, his conduct and his complete lack of any professionalism or manners. Wow! The veggie sandwich, which is vegan, is absolutely amazing (and there are other options too for my fellow vegans). I recommend adding the sunflower feta - delicious. I am super picky and would easily give this a 5/5. Absolutely loved this sandwich so much, I got it twice when visiting my boyfriend for the weekend. Also, my boyfriend who is not vegan gets this sandwich at least 2x a week, so it's good for both vegans and non vegans! Had probably one of the most insanely unprofessional and frustrating experiences I've ever had. Not only did I receive a completely wrong order, when I called to get it sorted out the young man on the phone out me immediately on "hold" aka putting the phone down while he completely ignored me and I listened to the commotion of mostly his own cell phone. I then had to call back literally 32 times to get back through where he again immediately put me on "hold" and then had zero sense of urgency or care to actually straighten things out. After waiting another 45 minutes (he quoted 30 for correct food to arrive) I had to call back AGAIN where he then told me my grilled cheese & tomato soup were ready but it's going to be even longer to get new food. I am extremely sick so having to deal with this nightmare on top was absolutely punishing. Do better. This is not okay. It has been nearly two hours since I put my initial order in and still no food. It seems like common sense isn't something that exists at this place. I won't be back. Today I went and ordered a veggie burger- that don't have those. Okay cool, you'd think they would just say that right? Na. The girl said veggie sandwich back but I didn't take notice until my food came cuz she was mad casual about it. The thing is I never ordered a veggie sandwich, I said burger and rang it up. Anyway, I told her after that can I get cheddar cheese on the veggie burger and she said yeah. When the food came it was a kind of nasty sandwich with a weird side of cheese. Like in a small cup that you can see in the picture. Um, why would cheese be on the side of any sandwich or burger? Mad weird. It's like they didn't think at all. Then the girl is gonna tell me she clarified veggie sandwich. Um, to who did she clarify that too? Not me. Next time try saying simple words like- "we don't have that." And I mean lol at the cheese thing -that's just stupid -I can't even comment more on that. Come on y'all, common sense plz. I like that this is a place to get homecooked comfort food in my neighborhood. I always get the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and kale salad. It's great. On the breakfast side of things, the pancakes with blueberry butter (and a side of bacon) are pretty yummy. Happy hour beer is cheap. Bloody Mary's are pretty good. Milkshake is good. Iced tea is just ok. Ambiance isn't great but it's clean and comfortable. Delivery is quick and I believe the first time you order from their website, it's discounted. Honestly I think the food here is really good just a little expensive but it does seem pretty high quality so it makes sense. read more

Also a good place to take people that aren't concerned with their health, because they have a pretty broad range of stuff (schnitzel, meatloaf, etc.) I tried both and got a huge salad. Love the big bowls they serve it in, because there's nothing worse than those little ones with overflowing lettuce. The meatloaf was super good, just like meatloaf should taste. Atmosphere is very calm and pleasant. I ordered the cheese puffs and fresh hummus. The hummus was very refreshing and the bread was cooked to perfection was the hummus I felt was missing a little more taste. The cheese puffs where just amazing flavorful but the sauce did not complement it well. What went well with the cheese puffs was the avocado ranch sauce.
