Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. I do have to say that the tables are way too tight next to each other as people kept squeezing in and out. I know it's a small space, but I didn't know I was dining with strangers. Anyways, we started off with the Hot Nguyen Wings ($18), which has a nice spicy glaze from the Gochujang. It also comes with 6 full wings, so you get a good amount of food here --perfect to share with two or three people. The flavor on these were one of my favorites that I'm still dreaming about these. Then we also got The Breeze Pizza ($26) and Emmy Burger ($31). The pizza dough was really good on this with a chewy texture and loaded with toppings. They have so many variations of pizza here that I'd love to try some of the more unique options next time. As for the burger that everyone comes here for, it's good. I can't say it's the best, but it's a solid and very messy burger with lots of carmelized onions. It's also quite a pricey burger, although it does come with some crispy fries. Also, I think the waiter forgot my burger order because every table got their burger before their pizza except ours. When my husband was already on his last slice of pizza, I had to ask if my burger was still coming. By the time it came, I had to eat this by myself and was a bit too full to even enjoy it anymore. Overall, loved the food here especially the wings that I find so underrated. The service was a bit off and it felt like it was just me sadly. Plus, the space is just way too cramped. It looks like others who celebrated their birthday here gets a Banana Pudding, so that's a plus.

When she sat us in the dinning room, she let us know there were 2 servers for the night with a 1 bus boy. She mentioned them by name and I loved that. We were attended to by Keith. He was such a gem. He recommended so really great choices for us. This is what we had. For drinks, my husband and my son had the Red Hook which they loved. I don't drink so I had the Captain Jack Mocktail. Appetizers- Seafood Tower and Rhode Island Calamari. OMG the calamari is a must try. It has a little kick but you will thank me later. I little heat never hurt nobody. Dinner- we all shared the Gala Apple Salad, Porter House, Linguini and Clams, Lundy's Potatoes, and Mac and Cheese. Dessert- The Butterscotch Sundae my daughter hogged, and the Lundy's Huckleberry Pie. Now let me tell you. I do not eat huckleberry pie, but that one, I could not believe how tasty. The crust was hard and sweet and the filling had the right flavor. Not too sweet or tart. All throughout dinner my husband and my son kept saying how great the food was. It was truly amazing and the service was great, with only 3 working and staying attentive to several tables. I would definitely come back. Maybe for a girls night next time.

The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. The chicken was the star of the show. I'm one of those people who never order chicken out because I can make it at home, but this was just on another tier.
