Stopped in with my brother when we were in the area. We were sat right away and offered coffee. We both weren't sure what we wanted to eat so we looked at the menu for a while. I had pancakes, which were perfect, exactly what I wanted. The order came with three large ones. My brother got a sandwich which was perfectly put together. Our server was great, he kept our waters full, which we appreciate, we're big water drinkers and there was plenty of ice. Only downside was the bathroom was out of order which made me watch my water intake! The prices are reasonable especially for the times. We had a great breakfast there! read more

This is by far the most disgusting iced coffee I have ever tasted in my existence of life. I asked for a light & sweet iced coffee & it tastes like dirty water with ice & artificial sweetener. I'm more annoyed because I paid $9.75 for it. This has to be a bad joke. Their food also had zero flavor. Never again! $30 down the drain SMFH! read more

By far the driest bacon egg and cheese sandwich I've ever had. Also the skimpiest. Side of sausage was overpriced. The cinnamon roll is stale. $16 wasted. Edit: I also got food poisoning. Yay. read more

Great neighborhood, family diner. It's been around since i was a child, so it holds a special place in my heart. It's conveniently located the the J/M train line at Flushing Avenue. Also near the B46, B54, B15, B47 and the B57 buses. They have everything!!!! I opted for an everything bagel with mozzarella, sausage and egg whites. Moderately priced and the perfect portion. Their home fries and omelettes are amazing too, but bring your appetite because it's a hearty meal!!! See you guys soon!!! read more

I love this diner I've been coming here for so many many many years and it's super awesome food is great service awesome as well

Finally got to try this but we left so disappointed. First impression... the diner is actually bigger than it looked outside. Prices are decent. Service ... needs training. We specifically said no butter on toast and we got butter. We scraped off as much butter as possible. We didnt want to send it back because who knows what they'll do it. It was somewhat busy but 1 person can still manage. Food... disappointing. The portion is small and the food was bland. My hashbrowns was so thin. I think they took the hashbrowns slice it half and passed it for 2 hasbrown. The server never came by to check on us except to drop off the check. read more

I am going to be upfront and tell everyone I will rate this place harshly and pbly unfairly because it can not possibly live up to a standard I'm setting. After you read you may be like "if that's the worst, I might as well try it". When I read yelp reviews I look up the worst reviews first cause I'm like "wow that person seems like a bitch "(whether it be male or female), if that's the complaint might as well try it out." So here's my chance to be a bitch bitchin: For 10 yrs I would not miss going weekly to a breakfast place. Now that place is shutdown. For 4.50 I'd get a breakfast special that included eggs, a meat, home fries (that were amazing) and coffee. The same people who prepared it served it to you. It was hidden in the back of a newsstand/bodega. When I passed this new place and saw the price and photos online, I was like "that's what I'm talkin about!" Standard no frills breakfast from a place that's been there forever, and is used to serving the working man(there's a hospital across the street). Here comes MY downside: I walk in and there are waiters: WHY???!!! I don't need no stinkin middleman I gotta pay a toll to (sorry my budget don't allow it). In Manhattan they have a place they call out your order and u pick it up , and you can bus your own table.( too bad I'm working in Brooklyn today). Then the place tries to nickel and dime you. They ask me which meat? (trying to make me get the more expensive special) and it doesn't even come with coffee!!!!!!!! That's 1.50 extra! How am I going to pay more if I'm not even sure if your coffee is even good!! When I heard about the coffee being extra my head hit the table as I yelled Whhhhyy!! I'm sure the waitress found a 40 something man throwing a 4 yr old fit very charming. The food came fast, but it was barely warm, and I was loath to send it back cause it might come back worse. The home fries had an extra taste, like it's cooked with the meat. The place was laid back and I could've stayed a long time, but I decided to go elsewhere for coffee. Of course this place has to be oh so nice and charge tax as well on the bill. So life's a bitch, and so am I. I am still looking for a place that's a no frill newsstand with seating that serves a breakfast special for around $5 (no tax!) with great home fries, coffee included and a meat that is not pork. Anyone Yelpers have any suggestions? I'm willing to go way out of my way for such a place (Brooklyn is preferable, but Queens or Manhattan May be awright.) read more

Just moved in right around the corner and figured we'd give this place a try. It's definitely a lot cleaner than most surrounding local delis. It was nice touch to be waited on but you can order out/call for delivery as well. The waiter was friendly and the service was quick. Ordered the Spanish omelette and my boyfriend ordered the J.K breakfast. The Spanish omelette was stuffed with peppers, onions, cheese, and jalapeño peppers. It was extremely filling and just what I expected it to be. The J.K breakfast comes with everything in your typical breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, AND pancakes/French toast. The pancakes are fluffy and buttered up to perfection. This is a solid local place for breakfast and will definitely come back to try the other goodies they have to offer. read more

I was in the area and I was really craving a smoothie. Their smoothies aren't great (as someone else said, it's mostly ice). But still, it's a solid diner. I just had the smoothie and sandwich, and it was exactly what I was looking for. They were generous with the amount of meat they put on it, and my food came out quickly. Everyone who came in there seemed like regulars, and they had their "usual"orders. I felt welcome there, and I appreciate that it really is a family-run restaurant. read more

Server is so sweet! But Food was so disappointing! Maybe I should have known better not to order from the menus that wasn't breakfast but I got the spaghetti and it was sooo watery and came within 5 min of ordering. My boyfriend got a bleu cheese sandwich that had wayyy to much of it. Very difficult to stomach. Pungent cheese like that should be used sparingly...just my opinion ! He also got the peach smoothie and stay clear of their smoothies! It's basically an ice slushee! read more

I ordered the fish and chips with a side of cheesecake. Upon arrival, the whole meal was soggy and only slightly warm. I was saddened by the meal, but knew that I had a slice of cheesecake waiting for me. I then pulled out two small shot-sized cups from the bag which contained my 'cheesecake.' J.K.& Sons version of cheesecake is a small cup full of white rice with vanilla flavoring and another small cup with strawberry jello. It was three dollars. Such a ripoff and frankly pretty gross (yes, I gave it a chance) Overall I was super disappointed by this place. The prices seemed great until I received my food :/ read more

Tried this place out for the first time while looking for something new to eat for lunch in the area. Menu has several choices similar to any other Greek American diner. I settled on a sausage pannini, which was ok but not something I'd choose again. Also chose to try a wild berry smoothie, which to my dismay turned out to be more like a wild berry slushie using way too much ice and what tasted like minute maid wild berry juice drink. I don't think there was any fruit in it at all, fresh or frozen. Guess the best part was the regular ordinary french fries :( I'll probably give it another try before I totally write it off my list. Prices were regular diner prices. I paid way too much for a lunch that wasn't in any way fulfilling. Staff was really nice tho. read more

This is not the first time we had order from this diner. I never actually went inside this place I always order from delivery.com. The first time we order I had a cheeseburger and my friend had Philly cheesesteak it was good no complaints. When we order this time we were highly disappointed. We order a Waffle with bacon and a JK super omelette 2 separate orders and we ask for all the condiments. We only received 1 knife and 1 folk with over 10 syrups and pepper with some butter. However no ketchup. We had to decide who was going to eat with the folk and couldn't even finish the food due to having no ketchup. Overall the food was good. read more

First time in Brooklyn, and first place I ate at. Stopped in for breakfast and was happy to be greeted with a fast but warm service. The food was quick, but great quality and I couldn't have asked for a nicer start to the day. I had the breakfast special with bacon, and the plate was a nice mixup of a classic American taste. It was simple, but so well done and reminded me of the days when I was younger and my Grandma would whip me up a hot breakfast before I could even express my hunger. Service was great, attentive and homey. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick and hot meal! read more

I think their motto is fresh food at a reasonable price...me thinks not. This place is more akin to UK greasy spoon than a place with fresh food. I've got a simple rule that I try to live by when it comes to getting things. Go get it from the source. It means that when I want Mexican food, I go to a place with Mexicans behind the counter, when I want soul food, I go to a place with black people behind the counter and when I want Italian, I go to Pizza di Napoli down the street. I wasn't sure about the people who were working so I just rolled the dice. I was at Napoli getting a $1 slice when I got the craving for spaghetti and meatballs. I walked by this place and definitely couldn't tell if they were Greek or Italian based on the fact that both languages are based in Latin, they have similar features and the Greek and Italian specialties were both placed to be equally highlighted. Anyways, I decided to try the spaghetti and meatballs and literally after the first bite wanted to spit them out. First off, store bought noodles are fine, not as good as homemade, but are fine. However, I don't know if they didn't drain them with a strainer or the idiots didn't reduce the CANNED sauce down, but it was swimming in water at the bottom on my plate. I literally felt like I'd have to drink it like a bowl of cereal to get rid of some of the water. Sauce isn't that freaking hard to make and is cheaper if you make it. Don't list something as a specialty if you don't know what the hell you are doing. The best part, they give me two butter sandwiches, not even toasted or with garlic butter. Just two butter sandwiches like I'm a 5 year old. Next, the meatballs. First off, in the picture there are three large meatballs and I only got two tiny ones (false advertising?). Not only that, but they looked and tasted like they were made from dog food. Not cooked well or seasoned at all. I could have made this entire dinner for roughly $4 at home. That includes the store bought frozen meatballs, which I'm pretty sure they use. Here's a tip on the house, 80% chuck + breadcrumbs (which help to stretch the meat and bind it together) + eggs + seasoning and you get meatballs which are cheaper and heartier than the shit you pass off as meatballs. Really they should call it spaghetti and dog balls (since it looks and tastes like it is made from dog food). Literally, anybody who calls this food even remotely fresh is the biggest moron on the internet, and that's really saying something. If you go in expecting a greasy spoon-esqe style of cooking, I think you'll be fine with the food. If you go in expecting for the specialties to be even remotely special, you'll want to jump off J platform after the first bite. I should have just stuck at Napoli to get my spaghetti and meatballs since they have surprisingly good food for the atmosphere. Though, I'd take hole in the wall over modern and shitty food anyday. Hell, the only reason I even gave them a tip was because I really like the ambiance of Greek and Italian restaurants. I know I say this a lot in reviews, but it's very true. I've literally had fresher food in a German brothel than this place. The brothel had fresh Caprese salad and home made chicken wings, this place couldn't even get spaghetti and meatballs right. If they're Italian, they should be ashamed of themselves, if they're Greek, they should go up the street to Olive Valley and take some notes. read more

Delivery took over 2 hours to arrive and everything was soggy (except the toast, which was burnt). Don't waste your money.
