First meal in NYC. It felt very dirty inside, customer service was good I was served by a daughter of the chef, must have been in high school. The food was lackluster, two eggs over easy, 4 slices of bacon, breakfast potato's and a coffee. I think in total it was about $16 or $18. I would not recommend this place, mainly because if you are in New York you want memorable food, and this was just fuel not something to ever think about again. I think the low stars also come from quality of ingredients, which you could tell was the absolute cheapest, and how dirty it felt. read more

A decent diner in Queens , very simple serving breakfast , lunch and that's it with it's limited hours with it's old school decor interior what's not to like . Came in with cuz in morning , ordered a scramble egg whites with potatoes, toast and coffee . Very simple , very plain and good enough to start my morning . Service is quick and friendly, prices are reasonable and they do plenty of take out orders from all the in and out I notice . Overall decent neighborhood diner in Queens which gets 3.5 stars on my yelp meter . read more

I had the pancakes and sausage. Was tasty, filling, well-cooked, and just the breakfast I needed on a hungry Sunday morning.

ordered food for delivery. a Spinach, feta and tomato omelette and a pastrami sandwich. The food was delivered in a decent amount of time. The omelet was okay. The pastrami was horrible. Very dry and hard. not pleasant to eat at all. read more

Good for the price! Pancakes were only $5 and come with tea or coffee free of charge. Very good for the price and pretty decent pancakes. Somewhat salty tasting which I didn't mind because they were complimented well with sweet syrup. Good if you're looking for a quick bite and don't want to spend a ton of money. Cute place that gives a community vibe, would go again. read more

Bill's Restaurant - Pancakes that come with coffee - Diners Near Me - Ridgewood, New York

Cheap diner food in the Ridgewood area, near the Halsey stop. It's okay for what's expected of a hole in the wall diner. Food is okay, and the portions are large. Their pancakes aren't very fluffy, but I guess that's how diner pancakes tend to be. The veggie omelet feels like something you would make at home -- not greasy but lacks finesse of nicer brunch places. They seem to be a lot busier from their take-out and delivery business rather than dine in. We sat at the counter, and it was fun to watch the cooks making all the food. Service was okay. They gave us everything we needed, but they don't really bother to check in on you or anything, so you have to flag someone down whenever you need something. Also, they don't speak very good English, but definitely se habla espanol. read more

Bill's Restaurant - Veggie omelet with French fries. - Diners Near Me - Ridgewood, New York

Super-cheap, no-frills luncheonette on the southern edge of Ridgewood. The menu is limited, coffee comes in paper cups and your toast is on a paper plate. But the service is decent and food is totally solid (unlike the only other diner in the area I've been to that is similarly priced, Tina's on Flushing). Opens in the wee hours of the morning and closes at 2 p.m. Two of us ate breakfast with coffee for $10.50 today. read more

Excellent service with a happy friendly environment. Awesome staff prepared a delicious meal.

My favorite little hole in the wall breakfast spot!! I've been coming here for many years. It's not fancy or upscale like many of the new hipster places in the area, but if you are looking for an old fashion Spanish breakfast diner this is the place. Parking is kind of tough so I suggest you walk or ride a bike to avoid the hassle of looking for a parking space. Everything on the breakfast menu is pretty good and the coffee is always fresh and super hot, so be careful when you take that first sip it will burn your tongue. I never had anything from the lunch menu but I'm sure it's good. The best part about this place is the pricing. For 10 bucks you can get a breakfast plate, coffee and still have a few bucks to tip the waitress!! read more

Bill's Restaurant - My eggs and bacon are always cooked perfectly! - Diners Near Me - Ridgewood, New York

I really wanted to like this place as it's so close to my house and the staff is very friendly, but I'm not eating the staff, I'm eating the food and it's subpar. I've lived down the street for 17 years and only eaten there 4 or 5 times total and I LOVE breakfast. The last time was a few days ago, right after the grand reopening. Fingers were crossed they'd made improvements all around. Food is the same unfortunately, they just raised their prices, expanded the seating area and make you tip a waitress for crap food. The quality is low, they don't use any spices on the potatoes or eggs so it's bland and the coffee was burnt. I had to pay $14 for that. If I'm spending that money I'm going to a real restaurant. I don't mind tipping a sever, but not all places require one and this is one of those places. I don't see how their reviews are so good, but I'm sure they were the only place open at 6 in the morning when partygoers are drunk and high off their mind and some food, any food, helped them back to life. It's possible to like the people but not their food. I love my mom but she's not a great cook, when I'm visiting I do the cooking, lol. I'd love to show these guys how to do it right. Cafe Pri on Schafer and Knickerbocker is an example of how to do it right. I've been there 20 times at least since they opened a few years ago. I'm not going back until I hear from a bunch of people they have improved, but I'm afraid you can't teach an old dog new tricks... read more

I like coming here because every time I order breakfast it's always consistent. Not your fancy shmancy breakfast place but I never complain when I come here. read more

There was only on server and they were very busy because it was Saturday. Thankfully, I had read Yelp reviews before going, so I felt prepared. I ordered the two eggs with bacon, toast and home fries. I had read to order the home fries crispy, so I did, and it was absolutely the right decision. Coffee will burn you if you're not careful--super hot, which I also read on Yelp. The server seemed a bit flustered because they were so busy, but she was kind. I don't know which I enjoyed more--the experience or how accurate the Yelp reviews were. read more

Bills is great. Just what the doctor ordered. They know how to work a flattop/grill perfectly. Something the "hip" spots are severely lacking in. Eggs over easy? Sunny side up? Scrambled? All perfectly executed. Get the home fries well done if you prefer them a little crisp. Their breakfast special is on point. They happen to have a large selection of diner food as well. I usually order breakfast but everything else I tried was good and exactly what you'd expect. Bills serves up old school American diner food and does it right without trying to and for very reasonable prices. A personal local favorite for me. read more

I was looking for a place to have breakfast on at 8am on a Sunday morning and found Bill's on Yelp. It's the perfect little diner w/counter & table seating and really should be called Guillermo's because it's run (when I was there) by a team of 4 Latinos -- 2 men (the cook & an order prep guy) & 2 young women (who take orders by phone & provide walk-in & counter/table service). The place is clean and tidy & has an "A" rating posted in the window. They do a big take out business $ also deliver locally w/in a mile or so & there's another guy that does that. If I didn't know better I would have thought I was in the Mission District in SF w/all the Spanish mixed w/English spoken & the Latin music station playing softly in the background. The only problem is that if you're driving, like I was , there's virtually no place to park on Wyckoff. I had to circle around and find a spot on a side street. However, if you're on foot, the Halsey St Station on the L Line is right a ross the street. The food is cheap, quickly served and good (which means what you'd expect of a neighborhood diner. I got 2scrambled eggs, 3 large link sausages, 2 pieces of toast & grits (in lieu of home fries) AND coffee (free refills) for just $4.75. I left a $1 tip because it was so cheap. You really can't do any better than this! read more

Affordable but it doesn't have much else going for it. Bland food, okay service, and B rated health inspection review. I was looking for something close and this had to suffice. Nice enough staff, but quite disappointing. Looks like a good place for locals. read more

Came here while waiting for my car to be fixed. Wow, $4 for the most perfectly cooked over- easy eggs (I swear so many get this wrong) plus home fries and toast. Would've liked peppers and onions with home fries but after those eggs... It's ok. Thanks Yelpers! I swear this place is a better bet than fancy brunch spots in gentrified Bushwick. read more

Great value. I enjoyed the scrambled egg for $6. It was a really good value. The fries were average. I think the sandwich woukd also be great. I would give it 4 stars if it was even cheaper on grounds of great value. read more

Bill's used to be a good spot but they lost its touch. There is nothing special about the food. The good thing about it is it's eat the train station but so is the other coffee shop a few doors down. The customer service from the lady sucks. I definitely stopped going there because of her. I used to go there often but she always seem to have an attitude unless you are a cop or a sanitation worker. I asked her for change and she told me her boss took all the money. Therefore she couldn't help me. Like what a dumb excuse. Luckily the deli is across the street. I didn't even have to buy anything to change my money to get on MTA. Once again they would NEVER have to worry about me going in there. read more

Love this place! Great breakfast vibe, very cheap prices, and very fast. Great conversation at the bar area. Love a good diner vibe!

Friendly staff, food was fast and reasonably priced. Good little hole in the wall with an authentic vibe.

The best breakfast place in the neighborhood! They have free delivery and for $4.50 you get two eggs, three pieces of sausage, a shit load of home fries, two pieces of toast, and your choice of coffee or lemon tea. read more

Run by some stellar people, feels family oriented. I love going to places where the kitchen isnt hiding. Everything is in plain sight super clean, and the food was very good for being a diner. Reasonably priced will return if I'm ever in the area again. read more

I wish this place was a little closer to the Myrtle-Wyckoff stop. Good-sized diner portions of food that come out really fast. Quick and easy service. Yasss! This small diner was near our Airbnb. Delicious breakfast (2 eggs any way, 2 slices of toast, lots of home fries, 4 strips of bacon, and coffee) for $5. It filled us up for nearly the entire day, so we didn't have to buy overpriced food at the music festival we were going to. It was so good, we went back for round 2 the next day. Whenever I'm in NYC, I'll definitely come back here. You can't beat this value and the food was perfectly prepared. read more

I went to eat breakfast with my girlfriend on Sunday and the staff were all very nice and attentive. The two waitresses there seem to be very young but they were very polite and came around to ask if we needed anything. The milkshakes taste amazing and I recommend ordering the Bills Special. The prices were reasonable but they close a bit early, so be sure to make it on time before they close! read more

This place has excellent food, not fancy, just tasty. There was only one waitress so the service was a little slow.

Best scrambled eggs in town, great breakfast at an affordable price! It's just what the sign says
