Great corner spot!

Irving Gourmet Deli seemingly sprung up as a result of the burgeoning reel estate market and the new influx of residents that came with it. Definitely one of the nicer establishments, it probably can't even be called a bodega because it lacks a homegrown feel. Plantains? I didn't see them. Bookies? Not even on the radar. But the decent ice cream selection is a treat and a welcome addition to the hood!

The food is decent here. I like the convenience of call order. When you call over the phone they definitely make your food way faster than personal orders indoors. What I don't like about this place is sometimes they charge you different prices. Their wraps are pretty good and breakfast. In the morning it can get very crowded with the school kids.

A B.E.C. on an Everything bagel. It's tops, baby!

It ain't Manhattan prices. I dig that. The produce isn't the best, but they have everything you need. The seafood selection is oddly really good. And the butcher is really popular. They have a gigantic cold storage section. This is the go-to regular, family market. Go to Billy's if you tryna be fancy. This ain't the place to get like Walgreens stuff. You ain't gonna find contact solution and lotion for a good price. There's Duane Reade really close for that. Cheapest live lobsters I've ever seen. They don't taste the best I've ever had, but hell for $13 I'll take it. Cheapest bulk beer in the area as well. It's an overwhelming place to shop fyi. It feels like a zoo. Truly is a Bazaar.

I was gonna get it re-wrapped, and they went through my belongings to take my receipt and walk away with it when I explained to her, I was getting the meat re-wrapped because it was opened. It's not my fault. The cashier is here. Don't understand English. They need training. This is not the first time these people acted out of hand and they all walk around like they could do whatever they want attitude in the front manager every time I complain to her about one of her workers she just puts this face on and rose her eyes. She's part of the problem.

This store has an eclectic variety of shelf stable products, a Deli Dept. that has American, Italian, Polish cold cuts, and salads. The guys that slice the cold cuts are experts; each slice is evenly cut, and the way you asked. There is a separate meat market in the back, with an "Old-world" style butcher. Their produce section is amazing. It's the world wide selection of fresh produce, herbs, and vegetables that is truly amazing. Keep your Translator app open. Many of the cans & bottles are in the native language from the country where they are produced. The experience is akin to being in a market in another country. The staff somehow keeps the shelves and bins filled, actually know what they are handling, and they can answer a question. There's a navigator that keeps the check-out line moving. The prices on most items are very inexpensive, almost from 20 years ago and the quality is comparable to one of those upscale supermarkets.

Extremely happy and satisfied with this business!…read more For those who are not familiar with this grocery store , they are mostly cater ethnic foods for Balkans and Eastern Europeans. Some foods that you're missing being an expat. Imagine that I live in CA and no one around here sells a whole head of pickled cabbage, the most important ingredient to make the ancient stuffed cabbage rolls!!! I don't blame them , who have heard of cabbage rolls in CA? They have tons of other delicious food. Well you can adapt and do it with raw cabbage but the result will suffer in flavor and taste. It supposed to taste sour not sweet . Anyway, long story short ... I've found this business online (thank God they had a website) and I ordered some of my favorite foods and treats , coffee and spices , even the most wanted pickled cabbage. The most amazing thing wasn't the order itself or finding the place! It was the customer service!! The owner (sorry I didn't get his name) went above and beyond to assist me and accommodate the shipping and timing so I can have this order in time for Christmas. What an amazing job he did , just a real business man who knows how to make people coming back ! You're wondering if I'll order from them again ? You betcha!

I was impressed at the smoked meats and frozen section because they have things from MANY different countries and a lot of their stuff is almost impossible to find anywhere else near by.
