I ordered breakfast scrambled eggs and sausage from this place, and it is the worse service provided with the food. Plus the waiting time was outrageous. Mail person. read more

I live about 20 minutes by foot from this diner and I would walk in rain or shine. Amazing attentive service, delicious food, decent pricing, and they're really making it work! Showed up this morning to a packed house and was sat in less than 20 minutes. They pulled some tables apart for us so that we could sit faster. Plates are cleared almost immediately and coffee is constantly refilled. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a classic diner feel with great classic diner food. read more

Cute and cozy diner! Fast service! Yummy Food! Wide selection of food options. I love that they have servers of young and middle age working. Everyone is super friendly and polite. I was greeted with a smile and seated as soon as I arrived. The establishment was busy but the servers did not skip a beat. Definitely a place to try. Not many diners in this area so give them a visit. read more

the customer service here is ELITE. My brother and I walked in like stray dogs asking to use the restroom, and the guy behind the desk was hella cool about letting us go. 6/5. read more

Solid diner in Ridgewood. Not sure what happened to this neighborhood but after strolling for 20 minutes this was the only brunch place open. The service was great and food was delicious and reasonably priced. I got a cheeseburger deluxe with waffle fries and it was pure perfection. may be one of the worst meals I've had in nyc. ordered pastrami sandwich and nothing came out as described on menu. Spend 50 bucks on two entrees read more

The service is OK, the older ladies are extremely rude, always banging stuff on the tables when eating, it basically feels like they are giving me my food for free or sum shit. Food is 9/10 tho :) read more

The food was great! However...the service is just amazing! The level of attention, competency, and politeness is rare in today's food and service industries. We had a party of 12 and they accommodated us and it was incredible how they handled it read more

very bad service and there were no customers, the older waitress was very rude and we arrived at the place (which is very nice) and of the 3 waitresses none of them wanted to serve us, they just looked at each other 10 minutes later (when we almost left it place) someone came to ask: what do you want to drink... (he didn't even say good morning) no no I don't recommend it if you want a nice and healthy breakfast because the sausage was dripping in fat it wasn't grilled stake fried and with too much oil the worst I repeat VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

FOOD 1.) two eggs over medium with ham = yommm I'm in love. I know, it's just eggs and plain ham. But I just love breakfast food now. 2.) home fries = love how it has burnt crispy bits. Came with the eggs Such good prices too SERVICE Very friendly, warm family welcome. Super sweet waitress ATMOSPHERE 9a on a weekday. Love the bustle of a diner, the frying noise of getting the day started, the chatter. Breakfast rush kinda clears out read more

I had a odd experience this morning at about 8:20 am. I walk in and the young female hostess tells me sit anywhere. There are about four other people sitting in the place. I decide to go to the last booth on the far side and sit down. There were other empty booths. An older Latina server walks up to me and ask me if I was expecting another person. I told her no. She then asked if I would sit at another table. Apparently the booths are for two diners or more. I get up and sit at one of the tables. She then proceeded to give me the menu in a less than friendly way and asked if I wanted something to drink. At that point, I did not like her vibe. I did tell her that the hostess told me to sit anywhere. I noted to her that the place was practically empty. She rudely said ok then sit where you want. She said she did not make the rules. I said it would have be nice to know them when I walked in. I have no problem with a policy if I know in advance. I then got up and left. I just couldn't handle this person serving me food or just eating there. They disrespected me in my opinion as a customer. There are plenty of other places to enjoy breakfast and spend my money. I have been going to this place every now and then for YEARS! I was just there that past Sunday with my family for a nice breakfast and dropped about $62 dollars. I'm not going to this place for a while. A good meal or in my case the thought of a good breakfast can easily be ruined by lackluster and rude service. read more

The food was distasteful. I asked for Parmesan Chicken cutler hero sandwich. The chicken was rubbery I asked waitress if I can get a new one she goes back to the cook and cook reply to waitress was all the cutlets are like that. Now why have a bad batch of chicken serve that to consumer? It's horrible and should not settle for that's all we have so take it or leave it. I even had surgery I'm recovery from. I want to enjoy good meal to my liking. Poor services from chef only and they should eat it so they can relate the consumer what they are coming from. Would you eat meat that is over cooked or serving bad batch of chicken? I don't understand lack of mindfulness from chef and courtesy to customer. read more

So the food was okay , but the service was HORRIBLE!! If you ever want good service do not come here. Our waitress didn't even cone over to check on us once. I needed more coffee and a drink and had to deal with it cause she was doing god knows what. She's lucky I even left a tip. Never would go here again ! Needed someplace to cure a mid-week hangover (don't judge, I'm on vacation!) and I was craving something fried, cheesy and meaty. Preferably cheap. I walked into Tasty's. Not frills. Huge breakfast selection. Ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a roll and a coffee. It was ready in a flash. One egg, lots of bacon and cheese. So hot. The roll was too big though, next time I'll get an english muffin. All of that deliciousness for only $5, plus no more hangover. =) read more

From the reviews I read before venturing out early in the morning to make the four mile pilgrimage to Tasty Restaurant, I was quite excited to sit for breakfast. So many positive reviews from a quality and food portion perspective, coupled with the significantly reasonable prices. I was reviewing photos taken by reviewers for a snapshot of the food that the location serves, yet found myself looking at many photos of some guy (Pedro C) and his two kids at Tasty Restaurant. Nobody cares about your kids buddy, kindly remove them as this is a review site, not Facebook. Keeping it simple for my first dining experience I ordered two eggs sunny side up with sausage which comes with home fries and toast. I asked for rye and got white bread, the sausage was under cooked which is a frightening sight anytime of day and the sight remains lingering in my mind. I did not mention anything to the server, as the location was rapidly filling up and I just did not desire to have a complaint come out of my mouth this early in the morning. In no way will this deter my eventual return trip and updated review. read more

Pretty great lunch place. I wished I took it to go because the place makes all your clothes smell like greasy fried foods lol I got the Reuben and substituted the corned beef for pastrami (no additional charge) and it was HUGE, it was also impossible close the two halves so i had to resort to eating with a fork and knife. The fries that came with my order were perfectly cooked and the sandwich itself was yummy and enough for two sittings but definitely something you can't have too often because it's a gazillion calories and really greasy. Pros: - It's cheap, on average expect $10+/- - good portions - friendly staff - quick service, roughly 10-15 minutes Cons: - place could use better circulation, felt like it was 80 degrees with humidity inside - all my clothes smell :( read more

Bad service. Overpriced. Food was okay but me and the person I ate with both came down with food poisoning (and Tasty's was our first and only meal of the day). Had to flag our waitress down several times for basic things but I noticed if you're not a butt-kissing regular they pretty much act like you don't exist. Bathrooms are filthy and unkept. No toilet paper or towels when I went in. Garbage was overflowing and just overall unclean. First and last time eating here. Won't be back again. read more

This is your standard diner. The food was slightly better than a few dinner spots I've been to of recent past. I went with the pancakes and they weren't overly thick and filling like many places who just prep a bunch of batter without regard to how well it will cook up later. They weren't particularly fluffy either but they were right in the middle to satisfy, for lack of a better word, all preferences. The eggs scrambled with cheese still means scrambled eggs with a slice of cheese thrown on top at the end which kind of mostly melts (sigh, I miss the South). Don't waste your time with the home fries or were they called hash browns-probably hash browns because that name would make me order them hoping they wouldn't come out like typical boring dry unsalted (I probably should've used a comma or transition there but idc) home fries. Nevertheless, the space is cozy but clean and inviting. There's a nice classic feel to it and large open windows to gaze out at the street life on a nice day. Decent spot. read more

My go to Diner type restaurant. Good selection of food and reasonable prices. Good service by favorite Sarah and Lilly. You would think they are sisters. Food is decent. Service is TERRIBLE. I've lived in the area and have went to this place for years and it only gets worse so I've decided to stop giving them business and spread the word. The absolute WORST service ever provided in a restaurant. Everyone who works there is extremely rude and belittling. Staff makes you feel rushed and talk to their customers as if they're nothing. Do not recommend. read more

This place has gone down hill. They don't even listen to requests. I always order the same thing. I have for three years now. 3 egg omelette with bacon, avocado, and pepper jack. I pay $1.50 for the cheese, $1.50 for the extra egg and $2.25 for 1/4 of an avocado. Today was the final straw. I asked that my omelette not be browned. I receive my delivery order. Not only is it over cooked but the avocado is brown with skin left on it and they didn't add the third egg. I call the restaurant they say they will remake it after they told me to get a refund through the delivery app I used. So two hours after my initial order my replace meant comes. Eggs are cooked nicely. The avocado is now black. If I just complained about the avocado why are you sending me worse than before. Not to mention charging me $2.25 for a sliver. At this point I picked out all the avocado and ate the remainder of the omelette because well two hours later you'd be hungry too. The cubes pieces were part of the replacement look at the black spots and lines. Tell me that's worth $2.25 Avoid at all costs especially for delivery read more

I had a really good meal here. Simple but tasty, hence the name. I ordered two cheese eggs over easy and chocolate chip pancakes. I thought I knew what a good diner was, but I knew nothing until I walked into Tasty. The name doesn't do it justice because every single thing I tried was INCREDIBLE. From the first bite of my Italian omelette I knew I would become a regular. It was cooked to perfection and the home fries were to DIE for! I loved how they gave an option of having regular fries on the side of an omelette too! The coffee was consistently hot, flowing, and delicious. My boyfriend got the Banana, Strawberry, Nutella Waffle and it was fantastic until the last bite with the perfect amount of toppings. Our waitress, Stephanie, was so attentive, sweet, and an amazing smiling face to see throughout this delicious meal! If I could give more stars I would!! read more

We ordered food from this place and it was beyond unsatisfactory. There was hair and fabric fibers in the pancakes and bacon. Seriously like who allows places like this to remain open. When we called to let them know what was going on but nothing was done. I made a complaint for the department of health and included pictures. Never again!
