The food is good if they decide to wait on you. I noticed if you are not Spanish they walk right by you. Horrible customer service. If you are Spanish you will not have a problem in this restaurant. The funny thing is the neighborhood is predominantly Black, and this is how they treat they main customers. Thumbs down! read more

Wow, we were so lucky to stumble upon this place. While this joint has all your classic diner staples, the also offer that Latin sason, so its safe to say, Angie's Breakfast Spot didn't disappoint. Last weekend while visiting NYC, we decided to spend our weekend in the Brooklyn area, and before heading to Williamsburg, we decided to stop by Angie's. The menu is very extensive without being overwhelming, and has a little bit of everything for everyones fancy. I ordered the oxtail, 3 empanadas (macaroni and cheese, cuban and plantain and cheese) and Mangu (yes I can eat, and when traveling I eat even more, lol). My wife ordered the Chicken and Waffles and for drinks I ordered the Hangover Cure(I wasn't hangover, wink wink, lol) and she ordered the Soursop juice(it was delicious) Let's talk about the food, their oxtail is probably one of the best oxtail dishes I've ever had, not too fatty and with the right amount of meat, the seasoning wasn't overpowering which it was perfect. The mangu, omg!! I've been having dreams about it since that day, just perfect. The empanadas were good, hard to get impressed when you are visiting from Miami, but the Mac and Cheese was definitely a nice addition and surprise on their menu. The chicken and waffles were definitely one of my favorites, the breading was fused to the meat so when you took a bite, everything would go together and not like sometimes you bite fried chicken and the breading just falls apart. Service wise, these guys couldn't be more helpful and have the best attitude, actually I'm going to tell you a secret. The oxtail is part of their secret menu, so make sure you ask for that. I wish we were closer to them so I could visit every weekend, lol. Thank you guys again for everything and this place is definitely Chok approved! read more

I like the fact that they check vaccine cards against ID'S. The food on the other hand, I ordered a waffle combo which came with a waffle eggs bacon and sausage. The waffle was soggy, not crisp as most waffles should be, the eggs were edible the same goes for the sausage and bacon coffee is hot and while no refills I ordered a large one only 2 bucks. Prices are very reasonable I paid around 10 bucks for everything. Didn't take a picture of the main breakfast . read more

I stopped by Angies late one morning for some breakfast. I was originally at IHOP but left because it was packed with kids since school was out that day. Angies was busy but not overly crowded. I sat at the counter and enjoyed my order of eggs with cheese, grits, turkey bacon, toast and hot tea for a whopping $6. I didn't wait long for my meal at all. It looked like they also get a lot of phone orders because that phone was ringing off the hook. I felt very comfortable and homey in their little diner. Now to the food, it was just okay. I tried my best to spruce up my grits but just couldn't get it right. LOL. Next time I will order the home fries. I saw this big carton of juice one of the servers was pouring into a small cup and asked what it was, and she said "oatmeal juice." I screwed up my face like omg and then decided to try it. LOL That "oatmeal juice" wasn't too bad. Next time I will try a full cup because it did have a little kick to it. The staff were super friendly and this place definitely seems like a neighborhood gem where the staff knows their regulars and vice versa. I heard so many customers calling the staff by their first names which was cool. I will definitely be back for some other breakfast items and to try some more of that "oatmeal juice." read more

I ordered to-go the other day and honestly the food was great! No photos because I was starving sorry. I ordered the veggie omelette which was so good and came with coffee or tea and home fries and grits w/cheddar cheese--ADD the cheese! Or else it might be too plain for you. Also ordered bacon and sausage on the side which was soooo good. My husband got the cinnamon pancakes with strawberries and pecans--he enjoyed it! Will definitely order again because the food is tasty and you can't beat the price :) read more

Quick and Easy. This restaurant is a diner-type establishment with no frills and thrills. I typically come here for breakfast on Sundays and the food is very basic (in a good way) at a very low price. For example, one can get two scrambled eggs, two sausage links, two strips of bacon, and a waffle for 6 bucks. I do not know if you can beat that deal anywhere!!! The food is not super amazing but sometimes it comes out fast without any major issues. My only complaint is that service can be a little sluggish at times. Other than that minor issue, I love this place and probably will make this part of my Sunday routine. Perhaps, I will lay off of the waffles. ;) read more

Decided to order a late breakfast through UberEats and came across this place. After viewing their menu, I finally decided on a BLT sandwich and a lemonade to quench my thirst. The sandwich was neatly stacked and the bread was toasted just right. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh not soggy. The bacon was cooked crispy just how I like. Great sandwich overall. The lemonade was a treat too. read more

It wasn't anything special to me. Just regular food cooked on a flat top. I've had better but it's close and cheap. But not a place i would seek out or take people to. It's a i don't feel like cooking kinda place. But the food is just okay. Nothing special here folks lol read more

Missing items and Uber refused to do price adjustments. Terrible experience. I do not recommend this place.

I have recently moved to a new area and was looking for a cool spot for breakfast and came across Angie's. The price was reasonable and the food was cheap! I had the salmon with grits over easy & a side of peanut butter pancakes and it came with a free coffee. it was delicious the salmon was well seasoned my eggs was perfectly poached & the grits was nice & soft. Now the peanut butter pancake was cool but it mixed properly. I had bits of raw batter in the pancake; it would of been great otherwise. I would definitely come back & try more things on the menu. read more

I didn't even get my food yet and I'm already upset at the service. I went to put in my order and the front lady ignored me then finally handed me a menu telling me to order with her and she took the order of someone else that was after me. I told her she skipped me and she said she didn't when I told her the other people didn't even have a menu yet and she took their order. Then she's saying it's because they went to sit down and I told her that doesn't matter cause I was in front of you. VERY RUDE. Wonder if their manager knows. read more

So I ordered breakfast from here on a Monday morning through Ubereats and for the most part it was ok. I ordered the French toast with bacon and eggs with cheddar cheese. The French Toast was average, bacon cooked crispy (not break your teeth crispy) and the eggs a bit dry. I tried some of my fiancé's Chicken Parmigiana on a hero and I must say it was PHENOM! The cheese had perfect pull, the bread warm and soft and the marinara sauce was the icing on the cake! The chickens savoriness paired beautifully with the sweetness of the marinara sauce that just kept me wanting bite after bite! I primarily came here for breakfast so for a lunch item to be the thing that blew me away is the reason why this gets three stars instead of the four. Overall for a quick place to order a quick traditional breakfast meal more for sustenance then taste come here! If you want a really good Chicken Parm I highly recommend! read more

This is your typical gross, extra-greasy Brooklyn diner but you know that walking in. The giant menu plastered above the counter with pictures was a dead giveaway. It's the kind of place where you know what to expect but sit down anyway because you don't want to appear like a squeamish, uptight, not-from-around-these-parts visitor. Trust me, give in to your better instincts. You ain't earning street creds by eating here. Nobody will label you uncultured when you get home. Gross is gross. My friend asked for a wrap with one slice of ham and two eggs. I asked for a wrap with extra ham, and three eggs. Our wraps were super tiny and virtually identical except I got charged for my additions which I never got. I also ordered a side of hash browns that tasted like they were sitting in an ash tray. You could tell the quality of a place when they give you plastic utensils instead of actual silverware when you sit down. Having to search for a soap dispenser in the bathroom wasn't fun either. "Oh, there it is. Sitting on top of the toilet tank. Nice." The one fixed to the wall was out. Shocker. I hate knocking a small business but the things they could have improved upon were just little fixes. No sense why they could let a place turn to this. read more

I absolutely love this breakfast spot it's so convenient. The food is very good. Everything I ever ate out of here was good. I can't recall her name but she is the best I was short a $1.33 in told her I will bring it back she said no problem. I respect that. I came next day gave her $2. She's always nice. The owner is a sweetheart as well. She's very friendly and acts as if she's a worker. I just love it here. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star because it's this one worker who's always answering the phone and taking orders when I come that is soooo rude. Oh my god, I've been patronizing this place for years and it's not one time come in there and she doesn't have a mean face with an attitude. Smh. Oh yea. And I don't like the fact that every other time I go there they say sorry poppy card machine no work. Cash only. Smh. That's how I ended up owing them $1.33. But overall I love this place and will continue to go there read more

I'm always on a search for good breakfast in this area and believe me I had tried serval places. This breakfast spot is the best one by far and they have a grade A. No matter what I order I'm always satisfied. The only issue prices tend to change depending who is working the register that day. And since they make everything fresh to go, I would call in advance to place your order so you won't have to wait long. read more

This is my go to spot ever since I've moved to Brooklyn. I believe I started with their breakfast and eventually made my way to the hot food. I love their meat specials with rice and beans. Sometimes I will have plantains or macaroni and cheese, both are amazing when fresh. I took my parents from the south here when they visited and they lived it, they always ask me have I been that day. The spot is narrow with about 6 booths, seats at the counter, and 3-4 tables against the wall. They always have a sign saying card machine is down but I always ask them to try and it works (I wish they'd take the sign down). There's an atm inside of it does happen to be down. I suggest omelettes, home fries, bacon and grits. I also suggest their fried fish or roast pork with rice and beans. They also have smoothies and sandwiches! read more

I probably passed Angie's Breakfast Spot a dozen times and never wanted to go in because of the foggy windows. You can't see what it looks like inside lol. However, when yelping a local place for breakfast I came across Angie's and got excited to come by. I've had breakfast here twice and lunch here once, before finally reviewing it. First off, the prices coupled with the portions and quality are fair and matched. It's also one of the only places around where you can get a decent diner style breakfast, which is a big deal. I have had eggs sunny side up, home fries, bacon, toast and pancakes here for breakfast. The first time I ate at Angies, my Home fries had clumps of salt, and my eggs were so under cooked I had to send them back. The second time both the eggs and home fries tasted much better and were properly cooked. I can't really speak for consistency unfortunately. The food is good and served hot and the staff while usually overwhelmed are friendly and patient. Angie's is just a small luncheonette looking place but it has its charm and it offers cute seating in an otherwise "starved for seated meals" area. When I had lunch here I had steak w. onions and white rice and a side of tostones. The tostones were probably the best I have ever had in my entire life. I like this place and will probably come again. I just hope that the popularity Angie's has gained with the neighborhood doesn't make them under appreciate their loyal customers. They are A-okay. read more

LOVE this place for breakfast. Portions are large, and the food is cheap and good. I always get the Veggie Scrambler Omelette. Super cheap. Be weary of the Sunday morning church crowds as this place can get really busy. The only reason why I'm not giving this place 5 stars is that the service is SLLLOOOWWWW. I've been here quite a few times, and I know I shouldn't eat here if I'm in a hurry. The wait staff run the counters, clean the tables, and organize all the delivery/ take out food. (there is normally only two of them so they are always busy) They are very nice women, just very slow to give your table any particular attention. read more

The worst breakfast I've ever had. Service is terrible, nobody asks how your meal was seems If you're not a regular you get ignored. It was ok. Had the ham and cheese omelet, some of it was raw (the egg), the ham wasnt cooked not even a bit and the cheese tasted like it was the cheese slices from velveeta. Sometimes you find a great breakfast in the unusual spot. Brooklyn under the train on broadway. This is my second time here because they have nice food. If you don't mind a simple location your in the right spot. My kids like the quesadilla. The pancakes are also good they even have Dominican food like rice, beans, plantain, pork and much more. I would recommend this place if you like something fast and cheap, you won't go wrong at this place. I give them a 4 just because the food is nice and the people are very polite and funny (if you speak some Spanish) and like I always say Happy Cooking stay smiling :)) read more

The food here is good BUT , they have horrible customer service!!! Bitchy workers that answer the phone to try and service you when they are the ones that got something wrong. Also they are inconsistent with sending you your items right. My husband and I have ordered from this place for maybe almost a year now. We order every weekend. It saddens me that constantly things are wrong and for a few times they actually forget the items. We order threw Menufy (with menufy every 10 orders you do you get the 11th free). We used to order with grubhub before they are no longer in business with grubhub ( hummmm I wonder why) Ever since we started ordering from menufy and they can't adjust the order, they won't send the items that's missing. It would be huge items too like if I order whiting to go with my grits etc, but they won't send it anymore. They say I'm sorry I'll send it when your order next week. WHAT?! I'm hungry now, I also order from menufy , so how does that really work ?!?!?! If you constantly forget item in my bag, why should I trust that you will actually send it.I'm very upset that we spend 60 something dollars every weekend buying food for us and our kids and I get this treatment that I did today. I was missing my whiting to go along with my grits, and they had the nerve to tell me they will send it next week. Not to mention the girl on the phone PRETENDED not to understand me when I said please send it to me today. I explained that the rest of the food is for my kids (I just wanted my damn grits and fish), and she didn't give a shit about that. This bitch played the whole I don't understand what you're saying ( when she was speaking proper English from before ), THAT in itself is rude as fuck. I AM NEVER EVERRRRR rude to people who are making my food. That's the number one rule ( people are sick as fuck , you don't know what they are doing to your food), so I was thought to always be respectful and mindful of my tone when talking to restaurant workers. So with that being said I am not in the wrong. YOU made the mistake of not putting it in the bag, or not making it. Have some damn respect for the people that are consistently putting money into this place!! So my point is. THE WOMAN HERE ARE BITCHES and disrespectful and don't even bother. They don't value their customers. read more
