He enjoyed the sausage bacon egg and french toast on his own, I had half the cuban sandwich which was enough to put me into food coma. Portions are generous for the price they charge. I wasn't impressed by the sandwich but it was good enough to satiate my hunger. We were extremely disappointed with the caesar salad. This is the worst caesar salad I have ever had. Everything was soaked in sauce so the salad turned out very salty. I ended up having to throw the entire thing in the trash. When I emptied out the container, the bottom was still drenched in sauce. Pros: Great tasting food and they give good portion sizes. I'm a fan of their Dominican breakfast platters and their pancakes platter. I also enjoy other menu options from here like the Chicken Quesadillas, Soups, BLT, breakfast sandwiches, home fries and their French fries to name a few things I really enjoy from here. What a great breakfast place! We came here on our last morning of our long weekend visiting the city before heading out to the airport. We started with some of their fresh squeezed juices which were out of this world. The omelette are cooked just right without being over cooked. The home fries are less greasy than average and the coffee is good. There's not much to say about this place. The order itself took over an hour, and the food was lukewarm, and well...covered in soda. I've ordered in from LA Villa, twice. Both times on a Sunday. This restaurant has made my lazy, sleeping in day, a greater experience. I only know of their breakfast menu...huge breakfasts too. Cheese grits prepared nicely, blueberry pancakes, omelets stuffed with whatever I like, golden brown toast and lots of butter on the side have put the sun in my Sunday. Food arrives still hot and delicious. I have always been a fan Pena Restaurant before it closed down. When La Villa opened up, I thought I would be able to get the same flavorful food that the previous restaurant always provided. I was in Brooklyn for an appointment when I saw the restaurant. It was clean. The food was prepared visibly in front of the restaurant behind the counter. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. However, I only had a 100.00 bill. The older woman took the bill and gave me incorrect chang. My bill was $ 8.94. She gave me 71.06. I told here that she didn't give me the correct change. I never left the counter. I told her that I would not lie or cheat her for 20.00. She tried to argue with me that she know that she gave me the correct change. Now me being retired law enforcement, I started to suggest to her to review her camera. But then she opens up a box full of cash and got ghetto saying that she know what she gave me. When she showed off the money, I knew that I was dealing with ego. She takes a 20.00 bill and slammed it into the counter. I said thank you and left.
