A Thai place with more than the usual pad thai and rice options! We started with crab ragoons, tamarind wings and the Thai cakes (similar to scallion pancakes). The apps were all delicious and the wings were my favorite! For my entree, I had the green curry spaghetti with fried chicken which was spectacular. The curry starts off sweet followed by the prefect hint of spicy in each bite. The chicken was thin and crispy, but the curry and spaghetti could stand on their own. While we did attempt to sit outside with the bunnies (yes, real rabbits!) and the intimate vibe, we got too hot before even ordering. The inside decor was just as pretty and it was fairly empty, likely because it's a weeknight.

Carrot cheesecake. Great taste, a little on th drier side but is delicious

This place is interesting. It seems to be largely a coffee shop and I came here for lunch. I think it would be incredible in the summer to come here for a glass of wine and sit outdoors, they have a lovely space and it looks like they do it up well. I will say that the prices are slightly higher for the food, given the average price for thai food, and while its not your typical street thai, its not all that upscale either to warrant the pricing. We tried the pad thai with king shrimp (its the only one that uses traditional thai noodles, the drunken noodles is made with the same skinny noodles which didnt seem authentic) and we had the pineapple fried rice- tasty, but a little overdone and a lot of turmeric. The pad thai was really good though, right mix of flavors, comes together well, really well prepared. I also came here for breakfast another time and I will say that while they try to keep the flavors as authentic as possible the amount that you get for the price you pay is not adequate. Which I find very unusual for a Thai restaurant. I would say that for a better Thai experience I would go to other restaurants I would come here maybe for drinks and apps in the evening or do I enjoy the outdoors space that they have during the summer. I will say that the pastries and the tea and coffee are good and I would be another good reason to come here - think of this one is a café than a restaurant really. I do recommend the desserts and the coffee/ tea here and perhaps the wine - will try and come back and do the wine on a summer evening. Overall, cute place, but maybe still trying to figure itself out. definitely check out the bathrooms! Great job on the interior of the restaurant as well it's super cute!

We were looking for food walking down Fulton ave and stumbled on this thai restaurant. We chose to sit outside and seated instantly. Our order: Basil rice- good flavors. Definitely try Eggplant and tofu- crispy pillowy tofu cooked with eggplant. Flavors were good. I recommend. Tofu is extremely hot so be careful of your 1st bite. I had to do the huffing noises and lean to the opposite side to not get burned. Everybody does this and still goes in for the second bite to burn the roof of their mouth. Fried veggie eggrolls- small, dry and split in half. Don't get this. Not worth the calories Veggie gyoza- I ordered steam not fried but I didn't want to return them to the kitchen. These were good with great flavors. Definitely try! If your in a hurry, have no fear you will be out quickly.

E17. Pineapple Fried Rice with a side of metal scour sponge, anyone?
    Adri P.

TLDR: Eat here if you want bits of metal scour sponge in your food!!!!! Oh. No. So months ago, A Gusto was amazing. Now? Not so much. The last few visits, the food has been tasty but WAY TOO SPICY! And that's just the "mild" orders. I love ho/spicy food and I don't find the "mild" enjoyable or palatable. Today's visIt was the final strike! I placed an order of pineapple fried rice with shrimp for takeout. Picked it up. Got back to my destination, realized I was given chicken instead of shrimp -_-. I took it back. The order was right this time. Started eating and discovered [get this] a piece of a metal scour sponge! I don't think wass accidental. I think it was retaliation for me taking back the chicken rice. I'm disgusted and pissed. 311 here I come!

Walked in here approximately 9 p.m. on Thursday night proceeded towards the back I knew what I was about to get into because I've been here once before. I ordered the red curry Thai soup with duck and I cannot complain. It comes out hot. I also had an appetizer which could have used a little bit more Rosemary.food is just tooo damn good

I love me some Thai food and stumbled on this restaurant while I was driving so I added it to my Yelp list. It's a very cozy restaurant with a beautiful backyard that has a big tree right in the center. We were unable to eat back there due to the mosquitoes after it being a rainy day so we sat inside. They don't have any hard liquor but the moscato I had did the job. It was very chilled and refreshing, I had the shrimp pineapple friend rice and she had the chicken fried rice. Everything was bursting with flavor and did not disappoint at all.

Four visits to this lovely restaurant and I'm a fan. I'd seen it in the neighborhood for a while but never thought to stop in until it was surging on my seated app one day. Sooooooo very happy that I did. My favorite dis sho far is the spaghetti with fish - delicious and Port wine. I'm looking forward to trying a new dish but in the interim, spaghetti with fish and Port.

A Gusto is a new addition to the Bed-Stuy hood providing affordable Thai food cuisine, specialty desserts, good ol' dranks and just an overall, artsy, eclectic vibe to Fulton Street. A friend of mines chose this place for lunch and we were so happy to dine in. The place wasn't too packed with folks so we were able to get the undivided attention from the waitress. Spacious seating is available for group dining and outdoor seating is also available for spring and summer nights. Also, they have lunch specials which was a plus for us (or anyone who doesn't like to break their bank). Lunch special were priced around $9.95. I chose the pad Thai with tofu along with a warm chai tea latte. My pad Thai was definitely good. It was piping hot and had a right mixture of spices enhanced with peanuts, scallions, eggs and tofu. It was also an abundance of it so I had some leftovers to go with. But honestly, the warm chai tea latte was my favorite. Even though, it was a drink, it stole the show. It was that delicious. I could've ordered five more of those lattes. We have plans to revisit and hopefully, check out happy hour.

Ok, i love this hidden gem so much. If you ever find yourself in Bed Stuy off the Nostrand Ave A/C stop, stroll down Fulton St & pop into A Gusto. I have been there probably 5 times since i checked it out in August. They have delicious, really affordable Thai food, delicious caffeinated beverages, AWESOME goodies like cookies and cakes, and wonderful servers. Did i mention the perfect nook of an outdoor space? A big old tree, lights strung, plenty of space to stretch out without bumping your neighbor. I have gone to this place for birthday dinner, family outings, brunch, happy hour, and it's kid friendly too. Next time you're in the neighborhood, treat yo self to some green curry, coffee, and a slice of carrot cake. :)

    Jumbo Shrimp Pad Thai $15
    Rocio T.

Based on takeout. Jumbo Shrimp Pad Thai: - Shrimp has the shell on it. Still tasty but not my preference. Very easy to peel off the shell. Slightly over cooked but still good. - Bean sprouts were fresh and firm. - Ask for extra crushed peanuts! Very little in the order. - Noodles weren't greasy but it lacked in flavor quite a bit. Definitely ask for chopsticks because it wasn't in the bag. The portion was actually big enough for two but keep in mind there's only 3 Shrimp. The counter person was very nice and I didn't wait long for my food.

We ordered the charcuterie board and it was one of the best I've ever had. It was packed with an incredible variety of meats and cheeses and was more than enough to generously feed our table of four. At a lot of wine bars, I leave still feeling unsatisfied, but this one was filling and so well done. I had the Riesling and it was amazing -- the perfect balance of sweet and dry. And the real star of the show was the grilled cheese with ragù. So delicious. I'm from LA, but we will absolutely be back every time we're in Brooklyn. We started with two perfect oysters which had ikura, ramps, Thai chili oil and coriander flowers. Then sugar snap peas cooked perfectly with a hint of sesame - oil some special kind. But the superstar starter was the leek custard, with a mound of Osetra caviar atop a little dot of wasabi sprinkled with Alyssum flowers. $55 but worth it! Then we moved on to the seafood risotto which was the most toothsome risotto made with Japanese rice - seafood broth - and a mound of fresh red shrimp, razor clams, scallops hint of chili and a bit of mint. Perfection The charred white asparagus with sable fish with Shiro miso and green garlic was a complete surprise - delicious. Another superstar was the soft egg sitting in a sea of blue crab meat - in a brown butter garam salt bath. Served with a crusty baguette that we used to lap up all the amazingly tasty sauce. Unique - unsurpassed in flavor. We ending the savory courses with a lovely steelhead trout surrounded by thinly sliced fresh asparagus and fava beans with this basil and almond. Despite eating every last drop we made room for strawberry rhubarb pavlova. So well prepared. Little bits of crunchy raw rhubarb and nuts added a nice contrast to this often soft dessert. My favorites were the clams, the tuna, and the rice dish, all three were so simple but done really well. The tuna especially tasted incredibly fresh and balanced, and the clams had such a light, clean flavor that worked perfectly with the wine. You can tell this is one of those places focused on quality ingredients and a more understated approach to food rather than overly heavy flavors. Overall, really glad we went and it's definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you love sharing plates and trying a bunch of different dishes throughout the night.
