Muse has lots of interesting creative menu from authentic Thai dishes, good combination and all staff who serve us at our table are very nice and polite. We order fried calamari and popcorn shrimp for appetizers. Pork belly basil fried rice, Honolulu fried rice, Basil noodle with shrimp, Mook kung kra ree and 4 wheel drive. I like the food even though it is not original. They have good cocktails. We have Love spicy, Lychee Mojito, Moscow Mule and Can't Sleep. I love them all. I've been to a lot of thai places and got to say that Muse was quite excellent. During the winter they have options for "outdoor" seating under a tent in addition to their classic indoor seating. Walking in, we were greeted by great service and the water filling was never ending. Food wise, ordered a variety of dishes from the eggplant basil stir-fry with chicken to the muse pho to the drunken noodles. Overall, I love how fragrant everything is - do make sure to order less spicy because it can have a kick for sure. The flavors were excellent and the texture of everything was good. The portions were average - nothing crazy for the price, but I did enjoy eating it. The duck noodles weren't as impressive with the fatty skin duck and the noodles, but the pho - 10000% recommend, especially cause they said it was simmered for so long. Came back again to have their dinner. Staff are still attentive and friendly as last time. We ordered chicken wings platter, pork rice, see ew noodles with chicken and mocktails. This time while eating in the restaurant, the experience did not feel as great as I had when I was having lunch in here a while ago. The food portions of the dinner were pretty big, which is good however, they put it in a rather large container. Then, when they bring out the food, the four dishes took the whole entire space on the table there was barely any space to move. It was hard to eat with the limited space. Came here for lunch on a Monday and I enjoyed my meal a lot. I ordered the lunch special with BKK wings, chicken pad see eww and a lychee martini. The wings had a sweet chili sauce which was good but it was the pad see eww that did it for me. It wasn't dry which I hate and the serving portion was large. Would definitely order it again. My partner and I dined here during their live music night. Nice vibes, although it's a small dining space. The staff is constantly crossing through the whole restaurant back and forth, since one side is the Kitchen, the other end is the bar, where the staff's main position is, which can be distracting if you are watching the performers. The staff are always friendly, and the restaurant is cozy I really enjoy the muse roti because of the delicious curry. It is served with. It has a coconut cream, I think and you have the option of getting it with chicken or tofu. I especially enjoyed the basil fried rice. Decided to stop in here, I think the flowers outside pulled me in. We sat outside because the temp outside was nice and cool. The servers were so nice, kept checking on us the whole time to make sure we didn't feel left out, outside. For drinks, I had the ginger tamarind which was sooo good and refreshing esp the little ginger candy. My husband had the Thai iced tea. Now for the food, I ordered the spicy basil fried rice with fried shrimp and it was indeed spicy. I have a high tolerance for spice but it was really spicy so I asked for a sweet sauce although it came with a sweet chili sauce, they gave me plum sauce which helped. But still so good lol Bae had the muse curry which was a pleasant surprise with avocado and asparagus, he said it all was great. All and all, everything was amazing and so was our experience. I'm surprised it's taken so long to write this review or try this restaurant. Let me start by saying that Muse is one of the best Thai restaurants in the neighborhood. I want you to try it; you will get your whole life. Muse is beautiful and filled with authentic South East Asian art and textures. I found myself looking up, reverting to marveling at how they organized and decorated the place. The outdoor seating is also styled to be seamless with the inside. I could go on and on about the restaurant's beauty, but I'll now pivot to the food. I enjoyed a delicious plate of extra spicy basil fried rice with shrimp. I can report that it was made just as I like it, waiting for the volcano of fire to settle down in my mouth before my next bite. My friend ordered a Thai iced tea ($6.95) which was a vibrant orange color. She said it was amazing, creamy and rich. We both ordered Basil Noodles ($17.95), her with fried tofu and myself with chicken. It really really hit the spot. The food was so good. It will serve me for two meals. The service was pretty good. My mom tipped 30% and asked if they could put our food in the fridge for a few hours while we went to the park. They agreed. We returned and my parents asked if they put our food in the fridge. AMAZING!!! We had a reservation on Saturday and sat outside. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and the atmosphere was just lovely. Our server was excellent; constantly making sure we were doing good and had full glasses of water. We started with the popcorn shrimp and calamari. Both solid! The calamari came with an awesome sesame peanut sauce. For entree I had the see ew noodles with salmon and WOW. Highly recommend adding the salmon to your dish! I went here twice. My first visit was near perfection. Seating was ideal. Service was quick. I loved everything I ate but what stuck out to me was the duck rolls and chicken pad see ew. I also appreciated how they served my Thai iced tea without milk (since I can't really have milk). Everyone was so kind and welcoming too! The presentation was also on point. I had felt like I had found a new Thai spot to go to... My second visit showed me a couple of flaws that I can't seem to get past. For one, the person working at the bar was really rude about not adding milk to the Thai iced tea. She basically explained how it was impossible to do and can't be done... confusing and also weird. Two, I ordered a pad Thai this time around and didn't like how the noodles were like a thin spaghetti type rather than the usual thick l, skinny, and flat noodle you usually get in pad Thai. Three, I took this order to go and no one was even in the restaurant but it took about 45 minutes for me to get the food. I just felt really disappointed because my second visit was the opposite of my first visit. Overall, I haven't been back ever since my 2nd visit. But if your experience is better than mine, fabulous! I had a very disappointing experience at Muse. The customer service was poor from start to finish. Our waiter struggled to understand and communicate our questions in English, which made ordering unnecessarily difficult. Instead of trying to help, they came across as rude and dismissive. The biggest issue came when it was time to pay. We asked if the bill could be split separately, but we were told no because they didn't want to itemize the bill or do the math. For a restaurant, that's an unreasonable response and left a bad impression. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and customer service overshadowed the meal. Came here on a Thursday evening for dinner with the gf. It's a pretty nice Thai restaurant on the corner that has outdoor seating on the sidewalk. They also have a noodle bar attached to the side, but was not open, but they were still serving the items from the menu. Staff members are super friendly and are pretty attentive to us. We started off with drinks and both were made beautifully. Just a Minute ($16) is an Irish Gin drink with Aperol, Jasmine essential, egg white, and lemon juice. Chili The Eyes ($16) is a Mezcal drink with long hot chili, pineapple juice, lime juice and syrup. I am a fan of mezcal and then with the added spiciness enhances the drink. For appetizers, we had Rock Shrimp ($12), which are fried shrimps sprinkled with mango and green apple served with special chef sauce. Can not go wrong with these. We also had the BBQ Ribs ($14), which are seasoned char-marinated with BBQ sauce. The meat is fall off the bone good and the sauce on the ribs are phenomenal. We also got the Papaya Salad ($14), consisting of fresh papaya, carrot, tomato, string bean, peanut, chili, and spicy sweet lime dressing. It's a good cold dish to have. For entrees, we shared the Muse Curry ($18) w Duck (+$13). This is a homemade curry paste, fresh coconut milk, bok choy, and asparagus served with jasmine rice or steamed rice noodle. We got the jasmine rice as we like soaking the rice in curry. The sauce wasn't spicy, but tastes delicious. The duck is well made and not oily or dry. We also got the Muse Bay ($21) from their available noodle bar menu, which is homemade roasted pork, crispy belly, bok choy, steamed chicken dumpling, egg, noodle, garlic oil, scallion, cilantro, and chili powder. This thing had probably everything you'll ever need in terms of meat. The broth is served on the side for you to pour into the bowl yourself or however you want to consume this dish. I personally like eating the crispy pork belly while it's still crispy and everything else I did not mind soaking it in with the broth. This wasn't really spicy as advertised, but it's delicious. Overall, loved this Thai spot. If you live in this area, I envy you as you have a nice variation of options to choose from while also being unique and authentic. read more
