The egg sandwich was pretty good! The cheddar biscuit was tasty and even with the eggs and sauces on top - it didn't get too soggy or anything like that. The spritz was okay and the French toast was okay as well, my main note here was the crusts were pretty hard which made it tough to eat. The staff was really attentive and answered any questions we had as well.

Arden is such a gem! It's cozy and elevated at the same time. Went with some friends for lunch and had such a fantastic meal. We got the burger, fried chicken sandwich, and chilaquiles. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and crafted. Cocktails were on point too! The service was incredibly friendly and warm. It felt like we were at a friend's house. They definitely care about food and the community surrounding them. Can't wait to go back for more!

Oh hey, new favorite happy hour. First and foremost, Arden is an outstanding restaurant. It is the perfect, adorable size, and it's staffed by lovely people who want to bring you all the delicious food and drink, and do quite a good job (even though they may ask you twice about everything). And the food and drink is delicious. The cocktails are on point (their Painkiller is perfect) and fun and festive, and the food is even better. They are pumping all kinds of tasty treats out of the open kitchen. The wedge salad is outstanding. The brick chicken is special (and I love that they use the same Giannone farm chickens that I get from my butcher). But neither reaches the otherworldly delicious heights of the Red Wattle Pork Chop (it deserves capitalization). It is simply the platonic ideal of a pork chop. Served over a celery root puree, glazed in smoked peach and nduja, and a peach mostarda...basically, gnawing the last bit of meat off its bone was one of the best things I've tasted in recent memory. And that's before I even get into the happy hour! From 5-7 every day, you can eat truly affordable snacks like the watermelon salad (a little heat from the habanero honey lime dressing), a great burger slider (smaller version of their great one), a oyster slider (even better), and our favorite, the crispy rice topped with hamachi, jalapeno, and a truffle soy glaze. The hamachi may even rival the pork chop as my favorite bite of the evening. Also, a few excellent cocktails (like the Painkiller) are $11 during happy hour. Get yourself over here for a great meal, and end it with the sticky toffee pudding, because salted caramel can never be bad.

WOW. I've walked past this place multiple times and finally decided to pop in. They have happy hour on the weekends! Bartender was friendly, the decor was interesting in a good way! I had the hamachi crudo on crispy rice and the watermelon feta salad. Both were top notch. Try their Painkiller and enjoy your life!

Made a last minute brunch reservation at Arden - I would highly recommend you do so too. The place is small but popular. Their drinks are definitely the star of the show - all so perfectly balanced and hit the spot just right. Unfortunately, I wasn't as wowed by the food. It was mid at best. The panna cotta, however, was very good. Just the right amount of sweet, a little tart from the berries and the perfect crunch from the meringue. That was actually a masterclass of balancing textures and flavors. I'd actually love to come back for their drinks and try their dinner, but in terms of brunch food, there is room for improvement.

Delicious breakfast options! This was a great start to our day. We were seated outside and the sun beating down on us could have been prevented with a few umbrellas but it was still a wonderful meal. The blood Mary's are delicious!

Some friends and I stopped on in here before the block party began to grab a few drinks and some light bites. Food looked good. I chose not to eat anything. Service was great and the staff was able to accommodate all 7 of us outside. Unfortunately, there was a hair in my friend's shrimp and grits and she decided not to get another order of it - however do have to say it looked amazing.

A beautiful night at Arden. The ambience is chill, and I love the open kitchen concept. The wait staff is very friendly, and low stakes but attentive. The small paper menu is simple and not overwhelming. Each of the cocktails we tried were delicious. Alien Superstar was so refreshing. The mussel appetizer blew us away. They were so large and the soppressata was unique. The pork chop was cooked to perfection though a tad salty. The coffee crusted steak was out of this world with the sweet potato mash and crispy onions. I cannot wait to return.

I have no reservations about giving maximum stars to Arden. I must say, seeing as tho blue is my favorite color, I was sold just from that, but of course, one should never pick a restaurant by color alone. Now, on to the good stuff, and fortunately for me, my favorite color didn't fail me in this case. Arden is a corner restaurant with glass windows that showcase the delight in customers' eyes as you pass by. Plus, the fact that it's usually packed adds to one's culinary curiosity. That said, Arden deserves every star. The staff, food, drinks, customer service, and drinks all come together for a fabulous dining experience. I'll take this moment to make a recommendation; please make a reservation because this place is usually busy-boots during brunch hours. While I'm making recommendations, I suggest you try their burger and shrimp and grits- a HIT! Enjoy

Pretty chill American modern style cafe at Park slope. Some outside tables are nice in this weather. The waiters are all attentive and friendly. We just went to get some drinks and dessert. cheesecake was quite tasty. Was pretty chill afternoon spending nice time in the hood ;) highly recommended.

Food was amazing. They had a soft shell crab BLT as a special and it was the main star. Steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. Service was amazing, very attentive. The ambiance is cool. They play a lil background music but nothing too loud to which you're yelling over your meal. They also looked at the special request I made for seating and I loved that. Overall 10/10. Will be back for a solo eat or catching up with a friend !!

Some hits and misses here. I appreciate that they have happy hour food! Wins: yellowtail crudo and the brick roasted chicken (this dish was amazing) Not wins: salmon tartare (not cut properly so texture was off and flavors did not go well together), cheeseburger (appeared patty was pre cooked with some cheese slapped on it that was not at all melted, unlike the table next to us) Staff: they were ok but not overly friendly Smaller place with cute indoor and outdoor seating.

This is a charming little spot in Brooklyn. I visited on a Saturday night and was glad I called ahead, as there was over an hour-long wait for the bar. Luckily, I was able to put my name down in advance. The ambiance is lovely, with dim lighting that's perfect for a date night. Starting with the food, I began with the pork belly. The flavors were excellent--perfectly cooked with just the right texture and a hint of spice, balanced nicely by the coleslaw. This dish set high expectations for the rest of the meal. Next came the salmon tartare, which, unfortunately, fell short. The way the salmon was cut made the texture unappealing, and the accompanying wasabi and avocado-based sauce didn't pair well with the dish. It's something I could have skipped. Moving on to the salmon entrée, I had high hopes for the combination of escovitch vegetables, curry purée, and couscous. However, the flavors didn't come together well, and the dish was overwhelmingly salty. While the salmon itself was perfectly cooked, the excessive salt overshadowed it. Still, I was hungry enough to eat it anyway. I ended the meal with the toffee, which was the highlight of the night. It was a satisfying way to conclude the experience, especially after the ups and downs of the other dishes. It's too bad this dessert is seasonal--I'd definitely return just for that!

The ceviche was probably the best ceviche I've ever had in my life. It was blood orange based, but the citrus was really well balanced. The king oyster mushroom dish was soo delicious. The sauce and the texture of the mushrooms were to die for. I've salivating thinking about them right now! The fish was also so amazing. It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!

This place was the winner, and it was everyone's first time. We got in at our reserved time, and we had to wait about 5 minutes before our table was ready. Once it was, we were taken care of and quite frankly had no idea what treat we were in for! Let's start with the drinks. They have a drink on the menu called Celadon City. Who won the staff as a pokémaniac?! I had to get it just for the name. The rice vodka, yuzu, melon liqueur, and other flavors made it a fantastic, summery drink. My friends got the Smooth Landing & Smooth Talker ... One was a fantastic dirty martini and the other had the best bite of ginger. The food... Oh my God. We decided to split the breads and spreads and burrata... Each came with their housemade grilled focaccia, and the smoked paprika hummus and ricotta with chili honey? WHEW! The burrata dish with the sweet potato, pesto and tomato jam was a hit too. The menu didn't even say I'd have a balsamic drizzle on top! All of that was just the warm up... My gnocchi dish was spectacular. I'm not even a big mushroom person, but those oyster mushrooms and charred kale were a hit in the pasta. My friends' gigli pasta and mussels were great too. We ended up sharing a bottle of white wine as well, and the dinner was truly a 5/5. 0 I would absolutely go back, and it seems like their menu changes every now and then. I'm looking forward to the next time! Even if it's just for a cocktail.
