Once again Kaskade didn't disappoint. I'm almost starting to loose count with the amount of time I've had brunch here. At this particular time during this pandemic, I'm attempting to circle back to my favorite restaurant I enjoyed pre-pandemic to see who is open and offering outdoor dining. To my delight, Kaskade is now offering outdoor dining and plus their backyard patio is now open. My latest visit to Kaskade was a bit of a reunion of sorts. I enjoyed a marvelous brunch with my dear friends. Although the brunch menu is limited, it had a decent variety of option to choose from. We all enjoyed the burger, which was cooked to perfection. I must say, the chef is excellent. I've never had a bad meal. Period. The chefs attention to details and presentation is superb. The staff can't be left out here because the service is outstanding as well. I can't wait to return for dinner in the coming days. I always might add that they have to-go cocktails and who doesn't love that. I'll end by saying what I said in the very beginning, Kaskade never disappoints. read more

Came here for a girls night because we bought the deal from pulsd. The ambiance was great and the wine as well. However the menu was extremely limited. We both got chicken cutlet and fries and the cutlet was so bland it had 0 seasoning. The service was OK but i wont be coming back. read more

A couple of weeks ago we came to this restaurant to celebrate an occasion. We had a reservation and when we arrived there were children eating at our table. They were quickly ushered away and we were told to sit down. Additionally our temperature was not taken, no contact tracing information was requested, and the place was packed - no partitions between the tables and no social distancing enforced. I told the server, who had her mask exposing her nose and lower mouth, and was with another woman with her mask wrapped around her chin, that we would leave because we were uncomfortable. She followed us outside and attempted to get us to come back but we decided to go somewhere else. She asked us to please come back another time. We came back earlier tonight. We were the only party inside the restaurant and had the same server. She thanked us that we came back. We ordered the pierogies and the salmon tartare as appetizers, and both were delicious, but took quite a long time to arrive. We then waited about an hour for the main course, during which we saw our waitress, with her mask under her nose, spending more time supervising the staff putting a balloon for a future party than paying attention to us. At one point my mother asked her when the food was coming out, and she brought everything out right then - cold. As previously mentioned, this was about an hour after we ordered. My father and I both had the hangar steak which was underdone and tasteless, though my mother's ribs and my fiancee's salmon got good reviews. My fiancee's son wanted the sausage and pepper appetizer as his entree, which I specified to the server. I specifically asked that this be brought out as an entree. They still brought it out as an appetizer. My mother also told the server that the food took an inordinately long time to arrive, despite us being the only party there. The server then claimed to be the owner, and proceeded to lecture my mother on how long it takes to prepare food "made from scratch." Not once did she apologize for anything. She also did this while her mask was strapped over her chin. We did not see her again after that. Another waitress took our plates and brought the check. The thing is, we gave this place another chance, and other than the server/owner saying "Thanks for coming back" no appreciation was shown for this. No round of drinks, no free app, nothing. She still had her mask around her chin, she argued when it was pointed out that the food was taking a long time, and she neglected the only table she had. I am honestly sure why there are so many 5 star ratings for this place. read more

Take it from a Pole who loves food: Kaskade is tied for best Polish in Greenpoint (with Pierozek if you are specifically looking for pierogis). Much, much better food and drinks than Karczma across the street, Polkadot, Christina's, and krolewskie jadlo (which is awful by comparison). It's a family run business that did a lot of private parties pre-Covid so we never stopped in, but now regret that we didn't come here sooner. The cocktails are really good and creative and all the food we have tried is prepared very well- and you can tell it's quality made by someone who knows what they are doing. They are doing outdoor seating in front (and back I think?) and the location on Greenpoint Ave is pretty lively and good for people watching. The waitresses are pretty cute too if that's your jam, and don't worry if you don't speak any Polish. Highly recommend! read more

An amazingly beautiful, low-key, family-owned restaurant in the heart of the oftentimes overlooked Greenpoint section of Brooklyn. After reading such great reviews across the board about this establishment, checking this place out was a no-brainer! I came here with some close friends, my usual dining crew, for an early dinner. The first thing that stood out to me when we walked in was that Kaskade has such a homey and cozy atmosphere. An exposed brick wall to the right and a wooden wall to the left. It is bright and colorful inside filled with plants and roses. The staff is very friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was excellent, from the whole snapper, the mixed greens, the steak and the salmon. The bottle of white wine our server suggested to us was great. We loved it here so much that we returned a few weeks later for their bottomless brunch. I had a birthday brunch here on a sunday and it was one of the most unforgettable birthdays ever! Everyone there was so sweet and went out of their way to make it special! They saw I had no cake and brought me dessert and played happy birthday for me and my favorite song. I really loved everyone there. They helped us take photos and were so helpful. Love this new spot in Greenpoint! We stopped by for an early Sunday dinner and were charmed. We tried a burger and the salmon -- both delicious and generously sized (and the burgers have some fun mix-ins!). I particularly appreciated that our server offered to make me a mocktail since I wasn't drinking. My virgin mojito was a refreshing change from the usual juice or soda. We had a great bottomless brunch for 12. Delicious and attentive. Burgers were awesome. Passion fruit bellinis were to die for. Large glasses too! However staff needs to get website and online reservation system working. I tried for 2 days to schedule but site says no reservations available for a week. Was walking by two weeks ago and was invited in to the restaurant's open house. We were all impressed with the decor and appetizers and had a really great cocktail made with gin, passion fruit emulsion and topped off with sparkling rosé. The owner is lovely and so welcoming. My friend and I came here on a deal from Pulsd for a $40 deal that gave us a bottle of wine, entrees and a dessert to share. First off, the prices of food without the deal are very affordable for the sheer quality and portion size of food. I got the polish potato pancake with beef stew which was absolutely delicious while my friend got the bronzino. The fish was whole, well-seasoned and crisp, which for its normal price of $20 is amazing in NYC. Our mango cake dessert was also a joy - great presentation and solid flavor with hints of coconut. Kaskade is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. My boyfriend and I walk by here all the time. Finally stopped in for a terrific Valentines Prix Fixe. Really nice cozy atmosphere. Staff super friendly. The lady Chef was super cute and came out to greet us. Wines were great, delicious home made soups, salads, seafood/pasta/chicken entreés were great, yummy tiramisu and mousse. Price points way below the newer places opening around Greenpoint. Looking forward to returning for brunch which I hear is a blast and trying some of their takes on the Polish classics. read more

We walked in not knowing what the restaurant was, and we were pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away and were treated very well. The portions were very large including the appetizers.
