Prices are very reasonable and seating is designed for larger parties (we got seated at a big table despite being just a party of two). Dips and pita came out quickly though everything else took forever to come. They only had two chefs working in the open face kitchen and so they kept bundling orders together so things tended to come out at very different times (i.e. they did all the restaurant burger orders at once). Lighthouse is one of my go-tos in Williamsburg. They have a small menu but there's plenty of variety. Their burger and fries are simple but satisfying. They have $1 oysters during happy hour and they're honestly very good. The mezze platter is also a crowd pleaser! I used to live a few blocks away and me and my roommates became kind of regulars. We made a friend on the staff which made us come back even more. The cocktails are great and unique and they also have a nice selection of ciders and beers. The vibes are great, they're always playing a good record, and when the weather is good they open up the windows. Love it here! read more

Another bookmarked spot I finally got to check off the list! The food was good, we both ordered the salmon, had fries and I believe pita & hummus- the portions could have been bigger. I wasn't impressed with the staff, which holds up to many other reviews. A few different people served us, it wasn't consistent, and one had the audacity to roll their eyes at me when we asked for more ketchup. They retorted it's on your plate already, to which I said, I know, I want another one.... There are so many reasons why we may have wanted two ketchups.... They have a happy hour every day until 6:00 pm as well Drinks: were awesome. I got the spicy mezcal drink but subbed in regular tequila for the mezcal and it was 10/10 great flavor and spiciness. An array of cocktails, beer and wine. My friend heard great things about the mezcal Bloody Mary but was disappointed. It tasted very heavy and just wasn't there. Food: we got the mezze platter which was awesome to share and honestly you couldn't go wrong with any of them. The feta and nuts and carrots were some of my favorites (and i am not even a carrot person). This is plenty of food to share amongst a group as big as 8 I would say. The burrata was incredibly creamy and smooth with a beautiful texture and mild flavor. The ceviche was pretty delicious, nothing notable but good and fresh. The steak was a little dry. The fish of the day was salmon and I honestly wasn't too crazy about it, it didn't taste fishy but also didn't taste right. They had this pasta with mushrooms which was incredible and that is where my investment was laid, highly recommend. They have dessert but we were so full I cannot give you my intel on if it was worth it. All in all a good restaurant, some good and bad, but would definitely come back. We each got a cocktail (they were delicious!) and chose to split the Mezze Platter and a Chicken Shawarma for 2.. our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs since we didn't even come close to finishing. But we loved the variety, and all the flavors were there! My favorites were the tahini + arissa and the eggplant. The Aperol Spritz was just right on a warm day. Indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of room and space, as well as a few seats at the bar. Huge windows make the space feel airy and open. They always have options for vegetarians as well as carnivores and pescatarians. Happy hour is always a plus! My friends and I had a reservation for brunch on a Sunday. The space is cute and cozy with friendly and prompt service. We started with the steak tartare for the table. It had shallot, harissa aioli, capers, and came with grilled sourdough. (Their sourdough slices are huge and you can see fresh round loaves of it they are cutting up in the back!) I enjoyed that while the tartare was chopped small it wasn't minced and bordering on a paste like some places do. For mains we had the Chilaquiles, Green Omelet, and LH Eggs. The chilaquiles was a good portion and my friend said they enjoyed it. The Green Omelet was actual green! Then filled with a lightly dressed green salad. It came with a side of toasted sourdough and labne with harissa. This entree was also great. Finally, the LH Eggs came with crispy potatoes, labne, and garlic chili. I also added a side of sourdough. This place was delicious! We went with a group of 6 and it was relatively easy to get a reservation for a big group on a Friday night. We ordered two carafes and the carafes have around 4 drinks worth of alcohol. I recommend going with a big group so you can dry a bunch of different dishes family style. I really liked the burrata and it came with sourdough bread. The bread wasn't the best thing I have but the burrata was delicious. My only qualm was that the seats were a bench and he tables were really close together. The server bumped into me multiple times while trying to get food from the table behind me. I will definitely come here again and I think it's a great place to take visitors if you're in Williamsburg! read more

Excellent Mediterranean option in surprisingly cozy environs along an otherwise inhospitable stretch of Grand Street. I say without any factual evidence but with confidence in my biases that the brunch mezze platter is tastier and will cause you far fewer reservation headaches than the competing option at nearby Laser Wolf. Among the brunch mezzes, our favorites were the incredibly fresh and rich tahini (which we had the pleasure of also tasting in the shakshuka) and the tangy marinated feta. The burrata spread with sourdough, while not included in the mezze order itself, functioned as a nice addition. Other than the tahini-laden shakshuka, our other preferred main was the chilaquiles - neither intended to be nor presenting as authentic by any means, but hard to screw up, especially when borrowing a scoop of burrata. The Israeli nachos were less exciting - I liked all the flavors, but would have preferred something that absorbed all the sauces better than the hard pita chips. read more

I made a reservation via Resy for 5:30 PM on a Thursday; however, there were probably only 4 other parties while we were there. The daily cocktail I had was their dark and stormy, which was fitting, as it has been dark and storming all week (Thanks, Debby). Our server informed me that their version was made with their own fresh squeezed ginger juice and of course, dark rum. I'm not a ginger person, but I am a cocktail person who cannot pass up a deal. It was too gingery for me (in fairness, they did warn me about the fresh squeezed...) and so my boyfriend, not so gingerly, chugged half of my drink. He is a generous soul and did this for me so that I could order another drink that I would enjoy more (yes, he is a keeper and so was my next drink) He ordered himself a tall boy (he had a choice between pilsner and hazy IPA) and he started with a Torch & Crown Pilsner We ordered half a dozen oysters so it would be easier to juggle more drinks. They were served with a lemon wedge and mignonette. Cannot complain about $1 oysters + they were cleaned well, no sand/sediment crunch just smooth raw bivalve mollusk. My next drink was off of the Happy Hour menu, Love Me Tinder ($16). Regardless of whether or not they were making a play on wood or the app, it was aptly named. The drink was smokey and flirty-- mezcal was the keynote with chord progressions of watermelon and amba (a pickled mango condiment). At this point, I could feel the EtOH flowing through my veins. We decided to order 4 more oysters and their Israeli nachos ($10 for HH, $15 on regular menu). Had to pair more alcohol so I ordered their Happy Hour white wine and my boyfriend ordered a hazy IPA tall boy. The nachos were (to my knowledge) dairy-free, unlike its American counterpart. We were, instead, served a bed of pita chips coated with tahini mixed in with spicy harissa, chickpeas, and herbs. Wow oh wow we had the best brunch here!! We came in as a large group and it was perfect for sharing! We had all the spreads, the best shakshuka of my life(!!!), the pita bread was really fresh and hot, the nachos were so unique and spicy, truly every single bite was delicious! A delicious and unique restaurant! I came here for a rehearsal dinner, so I had the opportunity to try several of their dishes and cocktails. I ordered the nightly special of a strawberry margarita, it was refreshing, natural tasting, and delicious. Shortly after sitting down, they came out with our appetizers to share for the whole table. The servers were fantastic at explaining all of the dishes and confirming ingredients for guests that had allergies. I absolutely loved the Mezze, Whipped Feta with Nuts, and Burrata. Each dip had a distinctly unique flavor that was bold and delicious. All that blended perfectly with the freshly baked house-made sour dough bread. I certainly filled up on all the dips, salad, and bread, but thankfully I left room to try entrees! The steak was extremely tender and flavorful. I opted for the wine special at $10 per glass and the dollar oysters. I had a couple glasses of their cava and a half dozen oysters. I was pretty happy with the deal. I was even happier with the service. The bartender was friendly and attentive. They had a nice selection of whiskeys which included michter's 10 year, stagg jr, and a willett bottle though I'm not sure which one. I came here for happy hour on a weekday with some friends. Their happy hour ends at 6:30 but I forgot when it starts. Their happy hour has some beers and wine and a house cocktail that changes everyday, along with a couple dishes such as $1 oysters, daily sandwich that changes everyday ($10) and nachos. The $1 oysters are a great deal and my friends really enjoyed them. Some of them also had the citrus spritz ($10) which was the daily cocktail and we had the fried chicken sandwich. It's fried chicken on a sesame seed bun with a spicy cole slaw and spicy Mayo. It was delicious and definitely a stand out item. We also got some non happy hour items, such as pita and their dips. The smoked labneh was my favorite. Their service was a bit slow but it was probably because there was only 1 waitress working during our visit. The inside is beautifully decorated but a bit too warm and I don't think there was AC, but they do have ceiling fans and they opened the windows (we came during summer). I recently visited here with a group and everything about our experience was perfect! I love a tapas-style restaurant, as I like to try everything, and this did not disappoint! We tasted just about everything on the menu. Each item was very well balanced with salt, acid, fat, umami and at times a touch of sweetness. It's hard to pinpoint my favorite dish, each one was delightful in its own right. Great classics/twists on classics like the hummus, eggplant, tahini caesar and shawarma. I found the carrots to be bright with a unique seasoning - I have not had carrots prepared this way before, so it was a nice surprise. The ceviche was also a hit, with just the right amount of spiciness and tang. I ordered a summer cocktail with fresh watermelon, which was the perfect refeshing compliment to the meal. The service was also very attentive and friendly. The space is quaint, with bright windows, making the space feel open and airy. Wood, brick and metals give an industrial, yet warm feel. The Food took a long time to prepare and the burgers were small and not very tasty.
