I had the corn pop for my cocktail, fruity and good flavor, tuna Tartar as the appetizer, tuna over what looked like guacamole and toasty bread. It was good overall, I prefer my tartar in small bites on crispy rice. RABO DE TORO braised oxtail, au jus, sweet potato, dried apple, quince paste, saffron foam, as my main course, great texture, beautifully plated but the flavor fell a bit short for me. My partner had the, CHULETA DE CORDERO eared lamb chops, panaders potatoes chimichurri, onions confit as a main course. He felt similar in regard to taste. Service was great, no complaints there. But wait! They sang happy birthday with the TARTA DE QUESO d, gt creamy spanish manchego cheesecake with strawberry ice cream, now that was phenomenally good! Absolutely loved the food and the vibes here! This is an amazing spot for drinks, dinner and even private events. We tried some amazing cocktails, croquettes, lamb chops, garlic shrimp , and 2 flavors different types of seafood paellas. My absolute favorite was the dessert! Hands down one of the best dinners we've ever had! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such a warm welcome. Our server was amazing,friendly, attentive, and gave us great recommendations that truly made the meal even more enjoyable. We had a 5:30 reservation, so it was quiet and peaceful at first, which was perfect for us. As the evening went on, more guests arrived, but the atmosphere remained calm and cozy never too loud, just lively enough. Now let's talk about the food... absolutely mouth-watering! Everything looked just as good as it tasted. Every bite was full of flavor, and the portions were generous especially for the price. So many places charge a lot and give tiny portions, but not here. They really give you quality and quantity. We were celebrating our anniversary, and they went above and beyond with a beautifully presented dessert that made us feel so special. Nice, cozy restaurant/wedding venue. Recently, I attended a wedding with my family at MyMoon and it was very well run, organized and the space was used extremely efficiently to say the least. Despite not being a huge restaurant or venue, the restaurant re-purposed the wedding ceremony area over and over (e.g. ceremony, photos and dessert area), which was quite genius, to maximize the venue's spacing. The big downside to going to MyMoon for any type of event is the fact that it's located in the heart of Williamsburg, which can get very, very busy in the area on a nice weekend day, which is what happened on the day we attended the wedding. In addition, if you're driving to attend an event at the restaurant, GOOD LUCK finding parking during the day. Not only is the area full of pedestrian traffic, but the car traffic is comparable to Manhattan, if not worse! We were lucky to find a parking spot a few blocks away within 30 minutes of arrival, but I can totally foresee some folks driving around even longer - YIKES. So word of advice, either take public transportation or car service if you want to arrive at an event on time. As for the venue, like I said, it's nice and cozy. The wedding ceremony area is to the right of the entrance, but there is privacy forit from the street. In addition, there are speakers in the area directly in front of the main entrance doors, so, if for some reason you have to step out away from the ceremony, you can still hear the ceremony taking place. Very smart idea by MyMoon. The reception or restaurant part of the venue is a decent size and can hold a good amount of people. Food? Ehhh. Unfortunately, the food was a miss for us though. There were few Hors D'oeuvre served and it seemed the same ones kept coming around. On top of it, the Hors D'oeuvre were not great. For the main food, it was family style throughout, so make sure you eat before you go because you won't get a whole lot of food to eat. There were a few vegetables, salad and small pastas, but nothing that will knock your socks off. The small piece of Filet Mignon steak they served for the entree was pretty good, but we just wish we had more food! Overall, it was a fun wedding still and the venue was nice, but the food could have used a little bit more love. read more

Experience on Mother's Day was great. My mom normally prefers Italian food but on her day this year, she wanted something different. I wanted to come to My Moon for long time because I tons of beautiful pictures of this place on the internet. I'm glad they open for regular service. My mom so impressed with food, service and ambiance. We also had our family dog to join us, so we got a nice wide table outside. We started with tuna tartare and nice fresh bread with delicious olive oil. Then for main course we had Ensalada De Pollo (Grilled Chicken and salad), Solomillo De Tenera (filé mignon), Pollo Marinado (Grilled half Chicken), and Branzino. We shared with Paella Marisco for 2. My mom got Rose sangria and I had Aperol Spritz for drinks. We end the meal with Flan and coffee. Food taste great and service was excellent. This review is half a year late, so the restaurant might have improved since then but I'm seconding the other reviewers... the space is beautiful but the food is a no-go. However, the staff bumped my experience from two stars to three stars by going out of their way to make things right for my party of five. We arrived around 6 p.m. on a Saturday, 15 minutes before our reservation. Once we entered the gates, we found ourselves in the garden area, which had plenty of gorgeous setups for patrons to dine at. The space is not covered so it's possibly off-limits when it's raining. To the right side of the garden was an enclosed deck with glass walls and a retractable roof for private events. If we walked past the garden, we would enter their indoor dining spacing, but we chose to sit outside in the garden. There were no mosquitoes, thankfully, but the plates that were already there were a little dusty. Although my mom had really wanted to come here after seeing her friend's food pictures from a private event hosted at My Moon, the menu for regular dining was different. For the table, we got the Chipiron Plancha ($19; grilled squid, crispy black rice). It was a smol plate but no surprise there since it was an appetizer. The grilled squid was adorned with pieces of crispy black rice that was pretty much flavorless. It's presentation was the best out of all the other dishes. This doesn't appear to be on the menu anymore. Likewise with the scallop dish that I had ordered when I was here. I'm glad that they changed up the menu because that scallop was highly disappointing for the price point. What I got was three pieces of scallop that not only looked but also tasted underwhelming. Two people in my party ordered a deep fried fish dish. They had chopped up the fish into extremely bite sized pieces and spread it on a plate. The presentation was lacking but the taste was even worse. I'm not sure if the same filet mignon that two others in my group ordered is still on the menu, but I sure hope not. The way the chef served the mignon was all sliced up, which did not make the food look appetizing at all. That seemed to be the theme the night that I visited - chopped up food with super tiny portions. We expressed our displeasure with the manager and he made it up to us with complimentary dessert and tea despite us declining the offer. The dessert came awfully quick, so I'm not sure if they're made fresh/ in-house, especially because the quality was so much better than the actual food we ordered! read more

Randomly came to this place because the place we wanted to go to was fully booked. Let me tell you the inside is gorgeous very fancy. I think they told us that a lot of weddings happened here and I can tell it's a beautiful restaurant super high ceilings, Wine all along the walls, they also have very romantic lighting. It's supposed to be a tapas restaurant which to me usually means small portions but the portions are big and filling and the food is intricate and delicious. My family has been to My Moon on more than one occasion for various celebrations since their opening in 2005. I recommended My Moon for NYE 2022 dinner and I will say that the experience has left a horrible taste in my mouth and it isn't from the food. While leaving the restaurant, the maître d stops my father to say that the tip wasn't included in the cost of the meal...I guess as the only diners of color in the establishment it was assumed that we hadn't tipped. In fact we left a cash tip of $70. The audacity of the maitre d to stop us as we are leaving the restaurant to say that too isn't included in the cost. Tipping is customary but isn't a rule unless it's included in the cost and noted on the menu. You don't get to STOP people to accuse them of not tipping and just get away with it. Apologies don't take away from what was an offensive assumption made simply because we are people of color. Thanks to the staff at My Moon for ending 2022 on a disgusting note simply because they can't keep track of which bus boy picks up the money left on the table. We won't be back for any other special events. read more

Words can't express how excellent this venue and all the staff are. We held our evening wedding here this June. Lee, my moon's wedding coordinator was beyond amazing. He organizes everything with you so that prior to the wedding you feel confident that everything will work out. Day of wedding he was on top of everything. All was on schedule and well coordinated. Staff / Severs/ Bartenders were excellent and polite. We held an outside ceremony which I would highly recommend, cocktail hour and indoor reception. Our guest loved every moment and detail. Here's the thing...this place is gorgeous but the food sucks! It's used a lot for weddings which explains the gorgeous golden interior and the whimsical earthy outdoor seating area. The lights give it a romantic feel and makes you want to celebrate something when you eat here. However, the paella was soooo bland. Nothing could help it. We tried salt, pepper, and even had to ask for their green sauce that came with the empanadas to drizzle on top. I had the veggie paella which costs $22 and tasted like it had come from an Uncle Ben's rice box. There were way too many carrots in there and the rice wasn't as crispy as I wanted it to be. My bf got the carne paella at $25. His was also super bland but mine was worse. We also got the empanadas that were 3 for $14. They were ok but also lacked seasoning. We got the cheese which I think was just mozzarella. We also got one chicken that tasted better. They were pretty small but expected because they were just appetizers. We were also given bread and maybe an olive dipping sauce? The bread was good and flavorful. The service was good. Our waiter was attentive. There was one "water boy" walking around whose sole purpose was to refill our water. He spilled water and ice twice and the first time he just left the water there. The second time our waiter wiped it down before he served the entrees which was nice. The employees there do work hard which I appreciated. Maybe other items on the menu would have tasted better but they're known for the paella so if that sucks I don't really want to try much else because it's very pricey. I would recommended going just for drinks and apps because the place is very beautiful and a hidden visual gem in Brooklyn. read more

I was invited here as a rep dinner so there was already a pre-fixed menu for this when we arrived. The place itself is super cute - really gives me modern barn vibes and they have a really nice outdoor space as well. Definitely recommend this place if you are planning on hosting a dinner of around 10-15 guests. They had a pre-fix menu but everything was family style for us which I loved since then I got to try a little bit of everything. They had the following dishes: -Fideua con pollo - this was one of the appetizers they had which was super yummy, the flavors were amazing and it was kind of crispy which I thought was super interesting for pasta. -Coca de calabezin: Another app option. This one was definitely my favorite; if you love goat cheese then I highly recommend this. The goat cheese was very taste and the flatbread was so nicely seasoned and the spicy honey was just the perfect touch on top. -Ensalada remolacha: Another app ; one that I did not try since I do not like beets. -For entrees they had: Carne - this was so yummy, the steak was cooked perfectly. Salmon - also really yummy, but you can't really go wrong with salmon to be honest. Vegetarian terrine - once again if you are a fan of goat cheese then I recommend this, definitely not my fav since there was too much veggie for me but definitely yummy. -For dessert they had: Miticrema and mini vasco which was just eh to me but honestly I was pretty full by the end of dinner so don't feel like I got a chance to fully appreciate them. It slowed down a bit toward the end of the night because it seemed like there was a large party in another part of the restaurant, but nothing unbearable. Order the calamari frito, gambas al ajillo, pulpo, and paella de carne to share with my boyfriend. Everything was absolutely delicious. Drinks were also very good. As someone who is very critical of food and who has middling experiences at most restaurants, MyMoon was the first place that wowed me in quite some time. On the recommendation of a friend, I took my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner. Every part of the experience was splendid. The cocktails were unique and tasty. The bread--and the delectable tapenade--set the stage for what was to come. I ordered the lamb chops and my girlfriend ordered the octopus. Both mains were full of flavor and intention and the portions were quite sufficient. We had the manchego cheesecake for dessert, which was also quite good. It was so refreshing to have a truly top-notch restaurant experience, complete with a lovely ambiance, that was also very reasonably priced. Ordered the tuna "pizza" (there was barely any tuna to be seen), beef carpaccio (slathered in so much oil it was closer to a soup than carpaccio), and the seafood paella (the rice was hard/ not fully cooked, and did not have any of the flavors or spices of a proper paella) . There are far better tapas bars to visit with much better quality food than you will find this place. My Moon seems like an unassuming venue until you walk in. The interior is dimly lit and a little extravagant, definitely more fancy and larger than what I was expecting. The outdoor seating is beautiful but it was raining so we sat inside. We got a lot of tapas to share along with the Billy Burg spicy margaritas. After not coming here for several years, My Moon had to be a place we needed to revisit. Of what I had remembered, it was a wonderful time in a fantasy esque looking venue. My memory served me right, because this place is amazing to look at. The lighting elements, seating booths, spanish morrocan style curtains and stupendously high catacomb brick walls/ceilings, are a wonder to behold. Apart from the decor, from the menu you have the option to have a full style entree or tapas, which we choose the latter. All the dishes were exquisitely designed and tasted amazing, especially the Patatas Bravas and the Chorizo. Due to the grandiose venue, they hold Weddings and events, and the refined etiquette, professionalism and banquet like service from the staff carries over to the restuarant. I'm glad we decided to return to enjoy My Moon once again. Perfect in every bite! Soft delicious octupos. Its one of my favorite dish so I can tell that this one taste really good. Patatas bravas- spanish style crispy potatoes. This was okay. Potatoes with sauce. Less of my favorite. Paella de marisco- seafood paella, rice, tomatoes, clams, shrimp & mussels. They said its for 2 but it can shared up to 3 or 4 people depends on how much you ordered. We got 8 dishes for 6 people so the food is good enough to share for everyone. Theu put lots of shrimp & clams in it. Perfect texture and softness of rice & the sauce is good. I had a great night. Love the drinks & the food. I highly recommend this place! We had our wedding at Mymoon this past weekend (Sunday July 23rd). It is just the most absolutely amazing venue we had the best experience! Lee the venue coordinator is extremely attentive, detail oriented,helpful and responsive. The venue itself is absolutely stunning outdoor and indoor so it does not require bringing in a lot of decor or florals. We had 90 guests and had ample space for everyone to hang out when all inside, all outside, or when dancing. The outdoor deck has a retractable roof so, if there is rain it can be covered within minutes by the touch of a button. The food and drinks were top notch, and were served by a very attentive staff right on time. This venue is just so amazing I would choose it over and over again, can't wait to go back for dinner on our anniversary! read more
