Came back and all of my sentiments are the same, and then some! Food's fantastic, love that they switch up their menu (if they still have this amazing pot pie, get it), the ambience is cool and casual, great for date night, and our server was friendly and charismatic.

The Attic has been one of my favorite spots since before I even moved to Long Beach. I definitely need to try more of their menu, but my go-to is always the mac and cheese with Hot Cheetos it's not just hype, there's a reason it's the number one recommended dish. The mac and cheese is made perfectly, and the cheese melts so well with the Hot Cheetos. It's also dog friendly, which makes the experience even better. My dog can get a little anxious and vocal, so I'm mindful and head out once he starts getting chatty The service is always amazing, and the building itself is a must see.. it honestly feels like you're in a home enjoying a really nice meal.

Just about to get started!! Got the card at The Taste of LosAl.

I like this spot when shopping on Broadway. There is a small parking lot in the back, which really helps on the busy street which speaking of, the patio is pleasant to dine on. Everything thing we shared was well flavored and balanced. The only hiccup was the service being a bit slow. Very nice service, so it is more of a staffing issue than anything else.

What a great brunch spot! The Attic was recommended to us by a friend, and we had the best time here grabbing an early brunch when driving between LA and the OC. Service was amazing and food was great. We were actually told that everything was made fresh here, and if we wanted something that wasn't on the menu just to ask. It's a cozy location with an interesting build out around the house which is where the Attic is located. PROPS: Amazing food and service SLOPS: Parking is very limited behind this location, and nearby.

I have NO clue how it's taken me this long to finally try The Attic. I've lived the majority of my life in Long Beach and somehow never came here. I will say an ex of mine did bring me a takeout Mac & cheese (Cheetos) take out plate from here many years ago which I thought was good, but a little gimmicky to me... but now that I finally had the chance to dine-in here, I understand the hype. We had an excellent server (don't recall her name unfortunately) for the entire meal which made the experience great. She recommended us a great refreshing alcoholic beverage (considering I had a hangover anyways) and we were torn between several food options but ended up with the cheese burger and breakfast Sammie since we both wanted to try both items and figured we could just split. Both were delicious, but I really have to hand it to the breakfast sandwich. Everything hit perfectly and my taste buds were very happy. We both agreed with this. I'd rate the breakfast sandwich a solid 9/10 and the cheeseburger an 8.2/10. Both very great options, Love the vibe of this place. It seems like it used to be a house back in the day which became converted into a restaurant and/or business at some point. Will be back again!

We walked up and we're greeted immediately by Jordan who is completely lovely. We sat outside as the weather was good and there weren't too many people. We ordered from the happy hour menu. My fiancee got gumbo and I got the Attic cheeseburger. It was one of the best burgers Ive ever eaten and I don't say that lightly as a burger lover. Fiancee loved the creamy gumbo. Our water was constantly being refilled and we were being checked on. Great! For dessert I got the affogato and it was delicious. Perfect balance of hot and cold.

The Breakfast Rice in a Stone Bowl is hands down the best brunch item in Long Beach!

Best brunch spot in Long Beach! Or dare I saw allll of Los Angeles?!? It's the chef(s), the ambiance and the service that make this quaint spot perfection! There is a small lot in the back to park or plenty of street parking. It has a large outdoor dining section and cute bar, and is VERY dog friendly as well! (They even have a dog menu!!) They have inside seating too and it's an old, vintage house converted into this charming restaurant space. The bathrooms are clean and large! I can't say enough about literally every menu item here, but I'll highlight some. The menu is so eclectic but boasts southern upscale cuisine and it is unique, creative and very satisfying! The brunch menu is king, in my opinion, and is served every day until three, so if you're a late riser, you can't miss out on this late brunch, that is the best (again) in Long beach! I love the stone rice bowl-the flavors will change your life! The BEC is also phenomenal-it's a McDonald's style huge hash brown patty, topped with bacon and yummy scrambled eggs! It's unique and fabulous! I also adore the Nashville chicken sandwich. The flavor combinations in it are mouthwatering and it's better than any other chicken sandwich I've ever had! The chocolate cake should NOT be slept on and their beignets (yes!!!) are fresh and craveworthy. The happy hour is awesome for happy hour seekers like myself. Discounted craft cocktails, beer and wine and I recommend the Bon Temps! I love the happy hour burger-TRUST ME on that and thank me later! Fries are hand cut and amazing as well! The service is perfection and the staff is friendly, polished and top notch. I almost didn't want to write a review because I almost ALMOST just eat to keep this hidden gem to myself! But I have to give them credit for all that they are. Try them out immediately!!

Shrimp Cocktail

I've been to The Attic several times. I think I prefer brunch. I didn't see many menu options that appealed to me. Shrimp cocktail was presented well. Flavors were as expected. Ordered bread that was yummy but $2 for one slice. The Mac & Cheetos was a disappointment. I've had the dish before but this time it lacked flavor, noodles were too al dente. Ordered the. Citrus Sea Bream. Again, this dish was average; salad that came with it was good. Server and wait staff were all excellent; friendly and attentive. Dirty dishes were removed quickly. Nice covered patio with heat lamp and music was playing. Small parking lot and street parking available.

Five stars just for the ricotta french toast. That thing is amazing. We had a late lunch at The Attic and everyone was happy with their food. My wife's deep fried shrimp and chips were excellent, as was my Caesar salad. The four of us shared the french toast for dessert, which totally hit the spot. The. We rolled ourselves to our car and went home for naps.

Our meal was amazing! We had a reservation but seating was plentiful on a Monday evening. The location is super cute and although most seating is outside they had heat lamps and transparent wall covers to keep the warmth in. I had the new South Eastern Pork Rib on a rice cake and it was amazing. It was Crunchy, sweet, and so tasty.

Amazing food all around, but the biscuits truly stole the show. Not many brunch spots have mastered the art of a great biscuit, but The Attic absolutely has. Fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly done. The menu is full of cool, creative, and interesting items--one of those places where everything sounds good and you immediately start planning a return visit. Thank you to The Attic for making my first meal in Long Beach such a great one. Definitely a spot worth coming back to. Shoutout to our great server Chole! BB

Charming establishment that offers GR8T food, friendly service, and cosy settings that is perfect for small or large groups of friends and/or family to gather and enjoy an over-all meal. As stated in the attached receipt - we had the shucked fresh oysters, biscuits & sorghum, Grandma's cornbread, the porterhouse, the salmon, and the ratatouille - all very delicious and perfect for sharing....family style - this way we can eat variety of dishes :-) The host and server were attentive and friendly... Highly recommend to all - dinner and brunch - you cannot go wrong.

10/10 Gumbo. Perfectly seasoned and very comforting on a cold day! I would definitely come back for this dish. As for whether or not it's authentic, I really couldn't tell you haha but it was still very yummy. We sat indoor and it was still quite chilly as if we were seated outside (but we did sit by the door). Just keep that in mind for all yall that is weak to the cold like me! It's decorated very nicely for the holidays right now and is a cute place to have brunch with friends.

I don't believe they do. Drink specials are offered from 4-5:30 pm.

Does the outside dining table space have enough room for a stroller to be beside a table?

Im pretty sure they can accommodate you. Getting through the isle with a stroller might be tight.

Is there happy hour?

We serve our intermission menu daily from 4pm-5:30pm which has oysters, a lobster roll, a shrimp cocktail, a seasonal cheeseboard, and a couple different bread options. There are wine, beer and cocktail specials. All bottles of wine are 50% off.… Read more

Through the whole restaurant!

Are there actual vegan options here? The only thing marked vegan on the menu are the fries.

I would call them vegetarian options, not vegan.

Yes, they are a restaurant so they have non-alcoholic drinks on their regular food menu. But their alcoholic drinks are the best! Especially their Bloody Mary's❤

DINNER FOR TWO SPECIAL…read more I don't know what's up with the mid reviews, this place is great for what it is!! Walking in is like being transported out of Long Beach and to the south.... Or a diner in big bear lake. It's charming. Anyways, I ordered the dinner for 2 for my mother and father. It came with a bit of bbq chicken, half rack of ribs, tri tip, catfish, cornbread, 2 sides, okra, sweet Potatoe fries and fried green tomatoes. I ordered myself a full rack baby back rib combo and it also came with two sides. French fries and mac. On top of that I ordered some hush puppies . I did not realize that I ordered that much food!!! It was sooo much. Cornbread - meh doesn't really have enough flavor but it's warm and you can add butter. The catfish- the breading was nice and crispy. French fries and mac and cheese- you can't ness that up. The tri tip- probably the best protein that we ate. Very soft. Ribs- needed more bbq sauce but you can order more. It was way better the next day when I heated them up. Chicken- I didn't eat it. My mom did. Hush puppies- fried cornbread. Not my thing. Sweet Potatoe fries- staple Fried green tomatoes- surprised me, that was actually good for literally a fried green tomato Okra- first bites, amazing, after a few it was too soggy for me. Just get the dinner for two. It's more than enough and you get to try a little bit of everything for 58 + dollars. Was it amazing? Not everything, but I appreciate the portion sizes and the variety.

I ordered delivery so expected the food to be more lukewarm than hot but was excited about the taste! It arrived and smelled wonderful and was surprisingly still steaming hot when I dig into the bag. Sadly, the flavor on the ribs was a fun and spicy as I prefer. But I was hopeful the strawberry lemonade would be a life changing as I was told. I grabbed a straw, punctured the cup, and took a big gulp waiting for the sugar high I was craving! Sadly, it too was less than I desired. Then the Mac and cheese wasn't as flavorful either. I began wondering what type of pallet my co-worker had? This is BBQ for babies. I did finish the food but definitely had to do some "doctoring up" of my own. C'mon Johnny, reach for the stars! Kick up the flavor and add more suga' to that lemonade! Every time I see you when I drive by, I wanna get excited but it just isn't happening...yet. I'll give it another try someday.

No, that is NOT the name of this magical kitchen, but maybe it... No, it is even appropriately named. I dont know what the "R" stands for, maybe its a play on the Southern dialect, for "Our?" or does it stand for someone's name? TLDR; It's expensive, and not worth the routine visit, but worth the one-time stop in to experience the festivities. The Miracle pop-up at The Ordinarie is somehow even more decorated and extravagant than you'd expect from a seasonal pop-up. The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience.  I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

Our group of four had a chance to stop by for an early dine-in dinner, and found the chicken to well prepared and tasty. Originally founded in 1976 in Los Angeles by a enterprising franchisee who wanted to create his own fast food brand, Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken soon became very popular with LA residents. As sometimes happens with immigrant communities by word of mouth and 'paying it forward', the burgeoning Cambodians began to be the majority owners of franchisees, until it resulted in the brand being sold to a Cambodian in 2009. Considering the largest concentration of Cambodians outside of Cambodia is in Long Beach, California, I wanted to try this particular location. They also sell donuts here, and my credit card bill actually listed the donut shop as the vendor...this for me is not a selling point, but was not noticeable during our visit. It's a walk-up set-up, where you order/pay for your food through security windows. We ordered a 12-piece family combo for $35.45, which included 3 pieces of breast/thigh/wing/leg, 2 small orders of fries, a coleslaw and 6 rolls. They also sell fried catfish and shrimp, so got a 4 pc shrimp ($3.85). They only sell drinks by cans or bottles, so got 4 cans of Coke/Pepsi/Squirt. It is clearly stated that each order is fried fresh, taking about 20 minutes. Our order was ready in 15 minutes, and we decided to dine-in (a small makeshift outdoor dining area with temporary tables was set-up). The chicken was well brined and had been fried well (leaving plenty of space between the chicken), with the outer coat being crunchy with a little bit of spice. For me it tasted very similar to the popular national chain, but with more consistency. The 'small' fries were not that at all, but very large...with one being enough to feed the four of us. The fries looked underdone, but were not. There were no condiments available, so the saving grace was the thin hot sauce that you could dip your fries and chicken into. The rolls were forgettable, and the coleslaw was grocery store quality (which I actually like). In fact, the chicken and sides reminded me of what you could get at a grocery store deli, except always getting the chicken fresh, instead of ones that have been fried too many to a basket and sitting too long under a heat lamp. Freshness definitely matters here. There was plenty of food for the 4 of us, with us taking half of the meal home. It reheated very well, providing us a good lunch the following day.

The red beans and rice were comforting and well seasoned, a perfect side to go. The place has a laid back, welcoming feel, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The owner was super friendly and very hospitable. Definitely living up to the southern hospitality. Food came out hot and fresh. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving New Orleans style comfort food.

OMG!!!! I don't…read morereally leave reviews on yelp, (I just use it to find food options) but I have to say something about this place. There was a deal on door dash so I thought I should take advantage of it and I decided to order from this place. Had never heard of it before but I was in the mood for soul food. I looked at the menu and didn't really know what to try, so I just went with old reliable; Fried chicken plate with Mac and Yams. I tried to order another side but each side was $10. So I was like "I'm not paying $10 for one side!" But MAN I should have! My food was INCREDIBLE. I took one bite of the Mac and cheese and it was so good, I set my timer for 4:30am just so I can wake up early and workout. Anything that good, has to immediately be shortening your lifespan. My goodness it was great. The yams were super flavorful and the chicken was juicy and crunchy. And they left me a lil piece of cornbread and even that was delicious. Just all around great experience. Definitely going to see if they can make food for my job Also, I would have added a pic, but someone destroyed my food

I know that the workers are extremely busy working an event like this. Our server was telling us that they were waiting for the chicken to be done. It was worth the wait.

And then get a number and choose where to sit. They'll come around and ask how you are here and there. One bathroom for the whole place btw. Food: amazing bbq pulled chicken for their lunch special (doesn't come with drinks sadly). The Cajun fries is amazing in terms of fried crispy-ness but could be a little more seasoned. Would come back and check out other things on their menu. A bit more on the pricey side tho.

Went to Long Beach Shoreline Village Saturday 03.14.2026 for dinner 4pmsh…read more Found this place in the village. We wanted to try out some soul food. Checked in to the front. Come to find out that this establishment does not have Service Waiters. You must order up front, get a number, and find a seat. Ordered a cocktail, Link Sandwich, Shrimp and Crab Jambalaya Soup. Received our number and sat all the way to the back. Found a nice place overseeing the ocean with a back set of City Building and a light house. Within 15 minutes we received our food and drinks. No complaints on the food. All was delicious. The presentation was good. The Collard Greens was fresh as well as all the entrees we received. All was Yummy. The service we received was from a bus boy. I forgot his name, he was tall and Hispanic. This guy did a very good job. He was nice and courteous. Always checking up on patrons as well as saying by to all the patrons that were leaving. Great personality. Overall, I would come back for some soul food. This is one of a few places you can eat soul food in the city of Long Beach with a nice view. If you like soul food and you don't mind ordering your food first, this is the place for you! The only thing I noticed was the tables were sticky and grimy. They could use some work. Parking is very tough to find. You can be frustrated pending on day and hour you come to shoreline. They validate parking which is a good thing.
