The most luxurious Thairoomgrand location I've ever been to! The restaurant decor and table setup were absolutely beautiful ^^ My friends and I were very impressed with the food, service, and experience! You can choose your own protein to add to your main entree. Our favourite go-tos are usually vegetables, chicken and shrimp! Recommendations: - Pad See Ew - Khao Soi - Pineapple Fried Rice - Massaman Curry with Rice

Pad Thai and Malay curry huge portions

This is a review of the food delivery. They had a promo on the mango salad. The portions are on the big side IMO when compared with other spots. They have their work cutout for them otherwise as the Thai food options are many and the threshold is set high IMO. One of the regular chain(?) has started to falter a bit so I m trying a few spots here and there. Not a bad spot to try especially if you find a promo or two.

    Beef pad see ew

Ordered delivery from here and the portions were extremely generous and everything was delicious. I got the beef pad see ew and despite it being delivered the food was hot and fresh, and the noodles were not too mushy. It also came with a ton of beef and veggies, the Chinese broccoli in the dish was also cooked perfectly with a good crunch. Currently there's a buy one get one free deal at Uber Eats so the dish works out to $13 each (after BOGO) before tax and fees, which is a great deal. Highly recommend ordering from here, and I bet it's even better fresh at the restaurant.

Pad Thai with thin beef that smells sour and sour

Ordered from UberEats and the food is AWFUL. Placed a order of Pad Thai and Red Curry, their staff delivers the food if you order on Uber eats, FYI,so the delivery will never updates. The food.... Sourness flooded when I opened the lid for pad Thai, literally like it's poured with white vinegar, and the beef had a funny flavour of sourness, while dish does not look right. Red curry, I've never seen mangoes in Thai curries, excuse me if I've offended anyone, but if a restaurant wants to fushion up their food please indicate it clearly for their consumers. My partner is allergic to mangoes, and nothing in the ingredients list indicates mangoes are included in the dish, so how do we consume it now? Besides tasting nothing but watered down coconut cream and a bowl full of mangoes we can't eat. FYI, I did my research of this restaurant before placing my order, so either they treat their delivery consumers differently with different standards of food than they serve their dine in customers, or else I highly doubt the honesty of those who left a good review

I went to Thairoomgrand location on Eglinton for some takeout. They are located on Eglinton Ave West near Allen road. I ordered the green curry chicken dish special. It came with some rice. Service was friendly and quick. I found the green curry chicken dish very good and delicious. Thairoomgrand is a welcome edition to the Eglinton Ave W strip.

Thai Basil Stir Fry (w/ Tofu)

Great food + huge portions + ridiculously fast delivery = WIN! I ordered the basil stir fry, which came with tons of fresh vegetables and an excellent proportion of tofu. The sauce was delicious as well, a fantastic mix of flavours from spicy to sour to sweet. The food was nicely packaged, economical and tightly sealed. Am already planning my dinner here tomorrow!

Curry pad thai and Golden curry with rice
    Amber T.

I have been craving curry pad thai for years and finally found a place that does it just right! I was immediately smacked by nostalgia as I took the first bite of the savory noodles topped with crunchy peanuts (packed seperate so they stay crunchy). Although I would have loved more tofu pieces, you definitely get your bang for your buck here with a huge portion size. Also had the Golden Curry with rice, which had big, tasty pieces of broccoli and Bok Choy. But the Curry pad Thai was the clear winner for me. I'll definitely be back!

    Grand platter

I saw the good reviews and like Thai food so we came out. 4 people ordered. All their dishes are very sweet like putting tons of sugar in them. I can say it's not authentic Thai food. It's very hard to taste other tastes or the taste of the food itself. All dishes taste similar, be lamb or chicken, coconut or curry. The price and service is okay. Obviously it's a new restaurant and the waitress knows very little about their dishes. We definitely won't go back.

Looks like a table by the front entrance is reserved for owner admin purposes. Front area filled with good luck paraphilia to ward off evil spirits. My friend knew all the staff and proceeded right away to speak Malay. Let my friend do the ordering, I recognized a few of the dishes such as beef curry, chicken curry (both with roti), boneless chicken rice plate, chicken skewers, grilled sambal stingray, penang hokkien mee and a few other dishes (look at photos) I didn't recognise. There was one interesting dish Rojak, a mixed salad of chopped fruit & vegetables smothered in a pungent fermented shrimp sauce, sweet, tangy, spicy, a whole smorgasbord of flavors dancing on my tongue. Three words I've never used to describe Roti, theirs was crunchy, fluffy and moist, wonderfully dipped either in the beef or chicken curry. Chicken skewers were grilled well, meat remained moist with a nice grilled aftertaste, not necessary to dip into the accompanied curry sauce as the overall flavor stood on its own. The Sambal sting ray was a little disappointing, didn't match the memory of the one I had at the Singaporean hawker food court I had a few years ago. Overall flavor was lacking. Penang Hokkien Mee is the real deal, large plump shrimp w/ firm egg noodles in a somewhat spicy flavorful broth. We came on a Friday night, the restaurant was about 50% full, what a great cultural food experience which needs further support.

Decor isn't really anything to write home about, it's not why we came here. The roti canai was super delicious. Roti was flaky and buttery, the curry nicely spiced and waiting to be sopped up by the roti. The Indonesian fried rice was recommended by the staff and it didn't disappoint. Char Kwei Teow was nice, the wok hei was very apparent here as well as the Kang Kung Belacan (water spinach). The hainanese chicken while tasty was very bony (menu said it had bones). Desserts were a perfect way to end the meal

We were seated right away and menus provided at the same time. There was a Lunch Special menu but we decided to order full portions from the regular menu. We were able to order right away and our drinks and ice water were brought out. Our food was brought out fairly quickly, all of it being hot. Roti is a must order item! The noodles were also very tasty with the shrimp not being overcooked. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside and nice and juicy inside. Service was attentive with the servers checking on us every so often and clearing empty plates away. When we were done eating, the server packed up our leftovers for us instead of just giving us containers. You can pay by card or cash, but just be advised that they do not accept $100 bills. We were quickly seated and the service was really attentive and appreciated. At around 6-630pm the restaurant began to quickly fill with couples and families. We had the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai and the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring. We really enjoyed the fried chicken, coconut rice of the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring, and the amount of spice in the sambal onion and anchovies. The noodles in the Pad Thai had a firm texture which we liked, but for me the sauce was a bit sweet. If coming to the restaurant from 6pm on a weekend, the parking lot is very busy and you could be circling for a parking spot and having to move around vehicles that are double parked for take-out orders.

Choice of little spice, medium spice and burn your tongue spicy. Luckily I chose medium spicy which was just about right. The desserts that they have on weekends were also quite tasty and not overly sweet. The Curry Laksa with the mixed noodles (we got half and half of the 2 types of noodles they offered) were also great as well. The place was far from crowded when we showed up, and we were told to check out the menus and place our order at the front. (I also got a milk tea to drink, and it was really good. Very rich but not too sweet.) The sandwiches were both excellent. They were packed with flavor and the various components all worked really well together. The Malaysian Street Style did flirt with being just a little too sweet, but it was balanced out with the other components. Everything was decently priced, too.
