We got veggie spring rolls, holy beef basil with steamed rice, chicken Khao soi and a tofu/veggies massaman curry which was free because of a promo. Everything was on the sweeter side. The spring rolls were yucky - it had a funky taste to it like the veggies had gone bad. We both took 1 bite and threw them away. This is a review of the food delivery. They had a promo on the mango salad. The portions are on the big side IMO when compared with other spots. They have their work cutout for them otherwise as the Thai food options are many and the threshold is set high IMO. Ordered delivery from here and the portions were extremely generous and everything was delicious. I got the beef pad see ew and despite it being delivered the food was hot and fresh, and the noodles were not too mushy. It also came with a ton of beef and veggies, the Chinese broccoli in the dish was also cooked perfectly with a good crunch. Currently there's a buy one get one free deal at Uber Eats so the dish works out to $13 each (after BOGO) before tax and fees, which is a great deal. The pad Thai tasted more like ketchup than tamarind sauce. I did not like it because it tasted like ketchup noodles. I expected more from a Thai restaurant. I'd rather go to Bolan Thai for Thai food. Also, DoorDash didn't have any protein options - only veg. The mango salad was very/too sweet but at least the sauce tasted good, and the mangoes were crunchy. Ordered from UberEats and the food is AWFUL. Placed a order of Pad Thai and Red Curry, their staff delivers the food if you order on Uber eats, FYI,so the delivery will never updates. The food.... Sourness flooded when I opened the lid for pad Thai, literally like it's poured with white vinegar, and the beef had a funny flavour of sourness, while dish does not look right. Red curry, I've never seen mangoes in Thai curries, excuse me if I've offended anyone, but if a restaurant wants to fushion up their food please indicate it clearly for their consumers. My partner is allergic to mangoes, and nothing in the ingredients list indicates mangoes are included in the dish, so how do we consume it now? Besides tasting nothing but watered down coconut cream and a bowl full of mangoes we can't eat. Honest to goodness...this place is REALLY great. I tried it last night for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. The pad Thai was rich, saucy and flavourful with plenty of ground peanuts on the side...and an egg blanket on top. The panang curry and the green curry were both beautifully executed with tender chicken and crunchy, fresh-tasting veggies...but watch out for the green, which is advertised as mild but which is more medium+ (which I didn't mind but some people might). Finally, the cold rolls, which are basically fresh salad rolls (with mango!) and a dipping sauce, were also super tasty. I loved it all! Nice portion sizes, too. Highly recommended. read more

Let's face it, the Yonge/Eglinton area isn't hurting for Thai restaurants. But how many of those restaurants are really, really good? Maybe one? (Certainly not Pai, whose midtown location is pretty much a disaster.) With the recent opening of Thai Room Grand, it seems that the area finally has a Thai joint worth getting excited about. I decided to order some food for takeout on a recent Tuesday evening, as I live maybe 10 minutes away by foot. (I should note that the food was still hot when I got it home, so that was a pleasant surprise.) As is my tradition when ordering from a new Thai place, I decided to try their variation on Pad Thai, so I ordered the Signature Pad Thai ("Stir-Fried Thai Rice Noodles with Chicken and Shrimp in a Tamarind Sauce"). This is definitely an above-average dish. Everything is prepared really well, and I was impressed that the noodles still had a little bite to them (which isn't as common as you'd think or hope, sadly). And although it was perhaps a little on the sweet side, the flavors were really tasty and definitely enhanced once I added the included chili oil. I should also note that the restaurant threw in four of their Samosas ("Malay pastries stuffed with vegetables & cheese with our Thai plum sauce") in with the order and they were delicious. I'll definitely be checking out more of Thai Room Grand's offerings in the very near future, and I'm looking forward to actually stopping in for a meal someday. read more

Lovely decor. We were seated in a booth, party of four. Food was delicious. We ordered Vegetarian Pad See Ew (our favourite dish there, we concluded), Green Curry Chicken (next fave), Basil Beef (very good but salty), Coconut Chicken Mango (with breaded chicken - good but I personally would not order again). All very good. One dish came with rice and we ordered one more order of coconut rice. Everything was delicious. My son got the Thai Iced Tea with Bailey's. Such a smooth drink, he loved it but it was pricey. The rest of us drank jasmine tea. Good dessert options too, Thai things and others. I definitely recommend! read more

I have been here three times; the pad Thai tastes like tamarind, not ketchup. The Malay curry was excellent, the beef salad had hot beef in it, rather than cold beef, which is what I had in Thailand,but it was delicious. The cold rolls were so-so. I have been craving curry pad thai for years and finally found a place that does it just right! I was immediately smacked by nostalgia as I took the first bite of the savory noodles topped with crunchy peanuts (packed seperate so they stay crunchy). Although I would have loved more tofu pieces, you definitely get your bang for your buck here with a huge portion size. I saw the good reviews and like Thai food so we came out. 4 people ordered. All their dishes are very sweet like putting tons of sugar in them. I can say it's not authentic Thai food. It's very hard to taste other tastes or the taste of the food itself. All dishes taste similar, be lamb or chicken, coconut or curry. The price and service is okay. Obviously it's a new restaurant and the waitress knows very little about their dishes. We definitely won't go back. read more

I've been going to Thai Grand room on York Mills Rd. for a few years and I have to say the food is amazing and so is the ambience. I specially love the mango salad, green curry, cashews chicken and malay curry not to forget pad Thai the noodles. I've also ordered food from them for weddings, parties and in recent times deliver service. My guest have always enjoyed the food and never once have I had a complaint. Let's talk about THE CRISPY FISH appetizers: Never have I ever tasted fish like this !!! "Marinated basa in Singha beer batter" is the description and it's really a great treat as an appetizer. These are the fish sticks you wished you had as a kid instead of those really gross frozen High Liner ones. However, the cold Thai rolls were the worst I have ever had - thick wrap, too much bitter lettuce and no fresh / mint / mango flavour.
