    Grand fried rice

Very nicely designed and decorated restaurant. I like how the foyer is separate from the restaurant. The service is polite, fast and attentive. We liked the grand fried rice the most. Lots of layers of flavor. But all the food here is great.

Price is right and food is not that bad ,service is reasonable...Ambiance was ok.The serving is just about right.

Overall, the food was excellent and the service was attentive! All of the dishes tried were flavourful. The appetizers specifically stood out as wonderful - specifically the mango salad & the chicken wings! For the main dishes tried, the pineapple fried rice was amazing and all curry based dishes were great as well. For the curry based dishes, the beef is more like a stew which isn't my preference. I would recommend getting chicken. The desserts were mid and I would skip. The restaurant had a nice ambiance. The only negative service component is the server brought the bill unsolicited after an hour when we received our desserts, which may be seen as rushing clients. This was odd since the place was half empty so they didn't need the table ASAP. I would return and recommend coming here!

Have I mentioned how much I love Thai food? I love the flavours, the textures, and the wide variety of dishes. Some friends and I recently visited Thai Room Grand in Don Mills and we had a fabulous meal! We started with their Grand Appetizer Platter, which included shrimp satay skewers, spring rolls, crispy tofu, and shrimp chips. It was a delicious start to our meal! Our other selections included Green Mango Salad, Red Curry with Chicken, Khao Soi, Royal Pineapple Fried Rice, and Beef Devil. I always enjoy a good Mango Salad and this one was really good! The Red Curry Chicken and Khao Soi were both colourful and delicious. The Pineapple Fried Rice, traditionally served in a pineapple, was also very pretty and tasty. The Beef Devil, was very flavourful, with a nice crispy texture. It was all good! A couple of us had their refreshing Watermelon Mojito and Mango Mojito cocktails that were very good. Besides the great tasting food, the service was excellent. The decor and ambiance of their dining room were sophisticated and intimate. With great tasting food, excellent service, and beautiful decor, what more could you ask for? Check them out!

I'd like to give this restaurant a 3.5/5 stars actually but I'm being nice because the Asialicious deal was so good. This restaurant was very packed on a Friday night, but we had a reservation so we got seated fairly quickly. Make sure to reserve if you're coming on weekends. We ordered the $40 Asialicious deal which came with Khao Soi, Green Curry, Spring Rolls and Mango Sticky Rice. The food tasted very good, but the flavours felt a bit less authentic. The Khao Soi had a lot of toppings in it like egg, onions, and lettuce but the beef was kind of dry. I liked the noodles and the broth, it was rich and creamy. The green curry was also very flavourful, but I thought there was a stronger coconut milk taste than the green curry. I enjoyed the spring rolls as a light appetizer. The highlight of the meal was the Mango Sticky rice! It was a decent sized portion and the mangoes were sweet and paired so nicely with the sticky rice. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. It's not the most authentic, but you won't be disappointed here!

Went here on a dinner night and wasn't very happy with the food. The portions were decent but the flavours were lacking and have a lot of scope of improvement. I tried their appetizer platter that comes with skewers, spring rolls, prawn chips and tofu and honestly only liked the prawn chips and skewers. I ordered the famous pad thai for mains and wanted it to be spicy but it wasn't as spicy as I expected it to be. Got the mango sticky rice for dessert but the sticky rice also didn't hit the mark but the mangoes were sweet at least! The service was pretty good which why the three stars honestly.

I want to start off by saying that their Thai food is amazing... taste and portion is pretty up there in comparison to other Thai places I've been to over the years. But lowering my rating due to their inability to prioritize reservations and manage time effectively. I visited this past Saturday for a friend's birthday dinner... we had confirmed reservations for our group of 14 at 7:30. Upon arrival at 7:20, the hostess told us that our reservation was actually for 7:45, despite us having email confirmation that clearly said 7:30, and that it'd just be a few minutes wait while the table before us wraps up. But all good. 20 minutes passes and we're told that it'd be another 10 minutes. Fine. Another 20 minutes and we are yet again told "another 10 minutes". By 8:15 we ask to speak to the manager because the wait was getting ridiculous, along with the lack of transparency because if we knew we'd be waiting for so long right off the bat, we would have just left. The manager apologized many times, even admitting that the table's party slowly came late 1 by 1, but stood by the fact that "we can't just kick them out," "there's only so much we can say to them." Fast forward to literally 8:35 when we finally were seated. It makes no sense why the next table's experience needs to be completely compromised because another table was late and inconsiderate. Most restaurants have seating limits now, and indicate this early on to ensure everyone's time is respected, or atleast have staff that communicate when there are people waiting and have them wrap it up. I'll also say that, though a terrible experience at the start, what the manager agreed to offer us upon our negotiation for the unreasonable wait time was a good instance of service recovery. And again, once we were seated the food was terrific. Portions were generous and everything was flavourful... we all got a decent variety of items from the menu and there were no complaints. But better guidelines and standards need to be established at their restaurant to ensure everyone's time is respected. I hope they learn from this experience and enforce better communication and management of guests/reservations.

I'm not normally a Thai food person, but I will gladly return here at any time. The food was all amazing, but the real stand out dish was the Golden Curry. The curry was so good, I wanted to drink it. The consistency was perfect for eating with both rice and roti, and the flavor was sublime. The other amazing thing about my visit was the staff. They were all very friendly, and very attentive. I felt comfortable and well cared for throughout my meal. 5/5, will definitely return.

This has got to be the weirdest customer experience I've ever had. I was really looking forward to this restaurant after reading all the positive reviews and to fix my Thai food craving but ultimately it was a let down due to customer service. Issues: - Extremely slow service.. I think we waited a good 20 mins before being able to speak to our server, despite already making a reservation and the restaurant being almost empty. - Their website highlights different daily specials and encourages using their online booking system for an additional 10% off your bill. Before we ordered, we had confirmed this with our waiter but when the bill came they refused to honour it - Server etiquette : asked for a taster of wine before purchasing a full bottle, she served us in plastic takeout condiment containers instead of a wine glass. Then, when ordering a bottle, she gave us a bottle that was already opened and served. Management needs to properly train their staff. - We wanted to order dessert but no one came by to tell us about last call Quite disappointed as the food was actually tasty. The portions are also pretty small for the price. I would order takeout from here, but I don't think I will ever dine in here again.

I think the food was exceptionally for other items it was lackluster, so would really be a spot with a little bit of risk in terms of the experience. TLDR go to PAI if youre in this area Exceptional items included to make a salad, fried tofu appetizers . The sauces were all very tasty and homemade. The items that were less tasty, or unfortunately, the items that most people would go for at a Thai restaurant. I found all the meat in the stirfry dishes to be dry. The calamari was not coated well and would expect something similar for any breaded items. The location has adequate seating and certainly looks newly renovated. They have the ability to accommodate really large parties. The unfortunate aspect is that it is he's having a walk away from the young and Eglinton area, because it is not an amine street. It is often difficult to find or probably doesn't get a lot of foot traffic.

Speedy delivery! Free delivery when your order is $25+ before tax. Got the khao soi and it was nicely packed in their custom paper bowls. The soup was sweet and spicy but no coconut flavour; wish it was creamier! Came with whole boiled egg, pickles, bean sprouts, lime, lettuce, red onion, green onion and a few small pieces of chicken. The noodles were thin flat egg noodles. The malay roti was yummy. Crispy and flakey as it should be!

Food is always amazing but the Khao soi is definitely my fave! Curry +noodles, nothing beats that combo! Service was great and place was super clean to meet covid standards. Would come again for sure!

Decor isn't really anything to write home about, it's not why we came here. The roti canai was super delicious. Roti was flaky and buttery, the curry nicely spiced and waiting to be sopped up by the roti. The Indonesian fried rice was recommended by the staff and it didn't disappoint. Char Kwei Teow was nice, the wok hei was very apparent here as well as the Kang Kung Belacan (water spinach). The hainanese chicken while tasty was very bony (menu said it had bones). Desserts were a perfect way to end the meal

There were a lot of ingredients: cabbage, carrot, choy sum, shrimp, chicken, fish cake & squid. The squid was quite rubbery. The fish cake was not springy. There was a lot of it, maybe to replicate the look even if not the taste & texture of pork. Apam balik was good: pretty thin & crispy, though stickier than average. The filling was quite generous & tasty but the peanuts were pale & tasted a bit raw. Ayam percik: the chicken itself was very tender & juicy & pretty tasty. The curry was rich but a little generic. Char kway teow was good: quite flavourful though it could have a stronger flavour. There was some wok hei. The fish cake was slightly springy & there was quite a bit of squid. There were some chives but they don't serve it on a banana leaf anymore. Fried squid in nonya sauce was pretty tasty & quite spicy. It'd be better with okra or eggplant, not peppers. There was quite a bit of dried shrimp in it (fried squid is stir fried & crispy squid deep fried). Chicken rice rice was pretty good: moist enough & quite gingery. The chicken flavour could be stronger. Chendol was pretty good with rich palm sugar & coconut milk. There were green worms & grass jelly but no red bean. Nonya kueh was pretty good: they looked dodge but tasted about right though they were a bit soft. They have 2 versions of Nasi Lemak. The more expensive version has curry chicken, keropok & peanuts unlike the economy version (which does come with a banana leaf, though). The rice was not very fragrant but the curry was very rich so the smell kind of made up for it. It was not super tasty but was above average & moist enough. The curry was tasty & very rich but had a lot of bone fragments & was annoying to eat; the majority of mouthfuls had at least 1 bone fragment. It is a bad idea to put the curry & peanuts in your mouth at the same time. Sambal had a lot of ikan bilis with some onion but little liquid. It was pretty good though if you like to put it as a paste on your rice you will be disappointed. Keropok was very crispy & pretty tasty.

We were able to order right away and our drinks and ice water were brought out. Our food was brought out fairly quickly, all of it being hot. Roti is a must order item! The noodles were also very tasty with the shrimp not being overcooked. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside and nice and juicy inside. Service was attentive with the servers checking on us every so often and clearing empty plates away. When we were done eating, the server packed up our leftovers for us instead of just giving us containers. You can pay by card or cash, but just be advised that they do not accept $100 bills. We were quickly seated and the service was really attentive and appreciated. At around 6-630pm the restaurant began to quickly fill with couples and families. We had the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai and the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring. We really enjoyed the fried chicken, coconut rice of the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring, and the amount of spice in the sambal onion and anchovies. The noodles in the Pad Thai had a firm texture which we liked, but for me the sauce was a bit sweet. If coming to the restaurant from 6pm on a weekend, the parking lot is very busy and you could be circling for a parking spot and having to move around vehicles that are double parked for take-out orders.
