My favourite place to get wings in the city . The prices aren't amazing but the wings definitely are!!! They sell just the wings and combos so if you want a side and drink, the combo is the way to go. We ordered 3 lbs and a small side of onion rings and loved it all. We ordered medium-hot, honey garlic and I think bold BBQ. There are two types of BBQ and we ordered the one that wasn't the basic one. The wings come with celery and carrot sticks and your choice of blue cheese, ranch, or dill. I love Duff's read more

I had supper at Duff's Famous Wings last evening. It was a busy spot ... I got there just before the rush! I had wings with medium sauce, dill dipping sauce and fries. Yum! There was just the right amount of heat. The servers were friendly and took good care of me. read more

This chain is from near Buffalo. They get 2.5 stars. Got Mild medium & Bold BBQ wings. Bold BBQ taste was pretty good at first taste but the full flavour profile was not that complex. Mild medium was really mild medium - their wings are not as spicy as they claim. They were decent & a bit smaller than the BBQ ones. The wings were not that crispy & were slightly dry. They also were not marinated so well so the interior wasn't that tasty. The veggie sticks were pretty big though. read more

Classic spot, actually gets spicy. Food portion could be considered small for the prices. BBQ and lemon pepper wings are delicious

Duff's is a solid wing joint. Always consistent, always delicious. Not exactly cheap, but chicken wings are a goddamn luxury these days, and you pay accordingly. One of those things that you can never replicate the same at home. Good quality, decent sized wings that never taste nasty or "off" ... We like medium and/or honey garlic. Gotta order fries and gravy on the side, too. Dill sauce is the bomb, blue cheese a close second. Service is always friendly and competent. Clean atmosphere and food always arrives in an acceptable amount of time, no matter how busy they are. The best of the best as far as wing joints go, in my opinion. read more

Wings! Sad to have to replace St. Louis because their service and overall quality have declined so much but Hello Duff's! Wings, poppers, dips, sauces, fries all on point. Their beer selection is great, not just the usual Molson or Labatt offerings of all the corporate bars. The servers are great, still relatively checked out millennials but focused enough to take good care of us and keep our glasses full. New favourite wing spot in Toronto. read more

I called to ask where they get their chickens from. The girl who answered said "good question" and transferred me. I then asked the nice fellow on the other end and he said "he cant divulge that information", and then asked "why?". I explained that some people want to ensure their chickens are raised humanely, not in cages, not given antibiotics and not fed corn or soy. He then said "Yeah, they're local". You would think that a restaurant that specializes in chicken would want those chickens raised well and that they'd want to share this info with their customers. I cannot stand making a profit from ignorance and/or not caring. read more

Still my favourite wing restaurant by far! I have been coming here on a regular basis since 2008, and Duffs has never disappointed. While the world has changed around us, Duffs still serve delicious, crispy, saucy wings by the pound for your enjoyment. Your choice of wings sauced to perfection and served with veggies and either dill or blue cheese dip. Heaven for a wing enthusiast like myself, even if I only get to come here once every month or two. My go-to is their "Hot" sauce which, despite what the warnings on the menu say, is actually not that hot. I usually ask for my wings crispy with extra sauce and love dipping them in the provided dill sauce. Prices have certainly increased over the years, and the Tuesday wing special only represents about $2 off the standard price, but it's certainly still worth the price. It can get busy here on game nights and I personally avoid Tuesdays, but the staff are always friendly and prompt. The only downside is that they charge for soft drink refills which is a bit mean. read more

Got there right around the time they opened because I was craving some chicken wings early. The service was good, and our waitress was very helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was nice, but there isn't much outdoor seating. The chicken was good. I got the "hot" which wasn't as hot as I imagined it to be due to their advertising on the menu. Keep in mind, I have a pretty average spice tolerance, and those wings were not overly spicy in my opinion. The mozzarella sticks were good, but they weren't very big to me. I wouldn't mind going back here. The chicken was good but not something I would brag to my friends about honestly. If you are looking for chicken that's cooked well and tastes good but not spectacular, this place is a good place to try. The chicken sort of reminded me of Buffalo Wild Wings so you all can have some kind of reference. read more

What could improve? Hmmm, how about not serving a disgusting heap of ketchup disguised as bbq sauce on your wings. A light coating would suffice. Your bbq sauce is horrid. Ordered based on the rave reviews and was totally dissatisfied both with the food portion and quality, along with the price. The cream-cheese stuffed jalapeño poppers were a gastronomic fail. Two measly carrot and celery sticks as a side? Pathetic. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. read more

Chicken Wings Hot Honey Wings: the taste was totally different from what I was expected for hot honey garlic. It was supposed to sweet and hot. But I only tasted salty and greasy. Medium Hot : was not hot, but too much salty. The extra celery and carrot was not for free. We have been charged for extra vegetable. The service was nice. read more

Met some friends here on a Wednesday night to try some wings. I played it safe and got the lemon pepper. It comes with carrots and celery. You can choose either the blue cheese or dill dip. My friends got armageddon the hottest wings on the menu. They cost four dollars extra. They were sweating, tears were coming from their eyes, gums were burning or getting numb. And one guy was crying. Out of the three, only one guy finished his plate of armageddon wings. The service here was excellent. read more

Duff's is always amazing. Every time I'm craving wings, I know Duff's is the best option. I don't like battered, crispy wings and Duff's makes excellent sauced wings. we had 4 of us in our group, so we did 2 of the #2 wing specials. That gave us a total of 4 lbs of wings, 2 large sides (we did fries and onion rings), and 2 pitchers of pop. Everything was delicious!! I usually get the medium wing sauce, but switched it up and tried the hot honey garlic which I loved! Although it is a rather busy location, we didn't have to wait long for a table. Our server was very nice and attentive. I also had a salad. They have two types of balsamic dressing. I wasn't sure which to get, but the server said they only had the regular one which made it easy to choose. Perhaps next time I will try the sweet balsamic. If you're ever in the mood for wings, definitely try out Duff's read more

Best wings I've had in Toronto. This place is super clean. Staff are very young, enthusiastic, and professional (a rare combination these days). Bartenders do double duty running the wood and doing take out and they have this down to a science . Before wings ever arrive, I always have everything I need to dig in. Lots of sauce options and levels of spice. Always go for the Medium-Hot and never disappointed. read more

Duff's Famous Wings is located on the north side of College between Euclid and Manning in Little Italy. Duff's is a legend back in Buffalo and this place pays homage to the original back in Amherst not very far from where I've bought numerous sets of tires at Dunn Tire. I've never been to the original though, never and as far as Buffalo goes I've only been to the Anchor original once. My impression of the Anchor was that is wasn't that great. Perhaps my expectations were higher because of the name but really nothing stood out as superb regardless of them being the original or not. Duff's I've seen win against the Anchor on Food Wars so since each has their following I figure I should try Duff's. We have numerous locations for both Anchor and Duff's in the GTA so although this isn't the original I'm guessing they go by the same standards and recipes. We went to the place on a Thursday (March 22) and I have to say the place was packed, packed and noisy, very noisy. I found ourselves having to almost scream to talk. I was amazed how noisy it was inside. I get it though it's a sports bar with wings and beer. That is like a magnet for sports loving men like me. Honestly I just wanted to eat there and try their chicken. My friend Monica was taking us out for an early birthday dinner for me and it was a short walk from their place. My wife ordered lemon pepper and I had asked for the hot. The menu says something to the effect that mild is medium, medium is hot and hot is very hot. That's sort of a subjective statement but I suppose if you're going by what others out there consider to be mild, medium and hot I guess that's one way to measure. I still went with their hot but not death or the even hotter because I want to gauge how it is first. I'm necessarily looking for the hottest wings although I like a hot bite from time to time. The hot wasn't really hot for me but it definitely had a decent sting to it. I could have gone hotter but it wasn't really necessary. I liked the flavor and the chicken. The drums portions of the wings were large but the flats portions seems almost disproportionate to the size of the drums. I'd expect bigger flats with larger drums on split wings. I could be mistaken but it was my observation. I've eaten a lot of fried chicken in my life to know. I'm guessing roaster wings but again, larger drums to flats but it could have just been our batch. Being large and by the pound don't expect more than a bowl for a pound which is about 8 large pieces. The wings were naked, and sauced quite well. The sauce was not conservative by any means on the hot wings. The tang and smell was great, not too much of a vinegar tang but a saucy sting. Gauging the hot being the way it was I'm happy I didn't order medium because I think their hot for me is in the Goldilocks zone. I like my wings just about what they served as hot. Any hotter would have been fine but the flavor was great. Along with the wings they give generous servings of both dill and blue cheese along with veg to dip. We also had their fried pickles and mac and cheese bites. Both were good but the star of this place is their wings. Big, meaty sauced and tasty. I had one honey garlic to try and it was also good. I'd be interested to try other flavors. The dry ones like what my wife had (lemon pepper) were also very good. Usually when I eat a lot of wings I like to have a variety of both sauced and dry. The appetizers were good, the wings were better than just good. The roasters alone is something you won't see as commonly used and while Duff's may be famous I can safely say they're much more satisfying and in my overall opinion they're just better than what the Anchor has to offer. The only downside to this place is that it can be rather loud. I'm assuming it would be even worse during a Leafs game or some other hometown game. read more

I'd been meaning to go here for well over a year! Finally, I was lucky enough today to be in the area and so just walked in. Honestly, after hearing so much about this place, I feel a little let down. I ordered a pound each of the medium and the hot honey garlic wings. Frankly speaking, they were both just okay. I can't rave about either. They were a little too crisp for my liking - in fact you could even say they were a little too tough. They didn't have much meat on them, and were drowning in sauce (see pic). All in all, it was pretty evident that the chicken wings I ate today were stale. What was weirdest of all to me is that they didn't let me take home my left overs (4 pieces out of the 2lbs that i ordered) since it was part of their Tuesday special. Definitely didn't make sense to me. I can only hope that they donated the left overs in some way rather than simply throwing them away. That takes away 1 star and so what would have otherwise been a 3 star rating, is now a 2 star rating. Would not recommend it you're looking for good wings. If you're looking for just a bar and wings, you'd be much better off at wild wings. In fact, you'd even be better off at Hooter's. There. I said it. read more

When on Tuesday wing night. Great price. Buy a drink and get a pound of wings with veggie sticks for 9$. I got honey garlic and the bold bbq. Honey garlic was too sweet for my liking but I loved the bbq. Should have mixed them maybe. Would suggest cutting the honey garlic with something spicy. Also, be warned, the saucy ones are REALLLLY saucy. I should have got a lb with sauce and one with just salt and pepper. My friends got the lemon pepper and said they were great but I didn't snag one. read more

My friend and I came here on a Tuesday night. Since it was our first time we had no idea they had a wing special going on that night, so naturally there was a huge line up out the door. Luckily, there were 2 spots available by the bar. We ordered 1lb of wings each (bold BBQ and honey garlic), onion rings, mac n' cheese wedges and a chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was delicious however; I was not a huge fan of the wings. The bold BBQ flavour was amazing, and the 'flat' part of the wings were good BUT the 'drums' of the wings were incredibly chewy and really difficult to eat. I wasted half of my wings due to it being inedible. Although the service was great, I'm a little disappointed with the quality of wings. I will not be hurrying back anytime soon. read more

I've now visited all three Duffs locations in the GTA and I have to say this is my favourite. While the wings are always consistently great, the service, space and Little Italy vibe makes this spot a great night out. I really have to wonder where the other reviewers have eaten wings to give this place a 4 or 5 star. I pity you! This is a pub with wings as its call of glory. The call is not very loud. The kitchen staff should be embarrassed to send this garbage out . Our offering must have been cooked last week kept in a cooler and reheated in a microwave. Hot sauce on cardboard would have been a better option. OK let me be fair on the positive side the wings were as far as i can tell from a chicken and had bones. I could tell because the bone was all i could taste. The gritty crunch confirmed my hypothesis . They were well cooked, leaving no taste of moisture and nice and dry, very dry which made the beer a good side dish. The total crunch of the "skin" surrounding the bone made this offering a low cal option so if your cutting cals this is a good choice Service was fast and the arrival of the wings just min's after been ordered confirmed the fact that they had been cooked and waiting for our arrival. How considerate. So no wait time I would suggest a Master Class in wings by a reputable wing whisper for any staff with kitchen responsibilities. Wondering where to find this? I suggest head to your local loblaws take out counter. Wings are freshly made not fried to cinder and actually have meat. 100$ wasted... well the beer was good. read more

Unable to cross the border for real Buffalo wings because of Covid, it was great having a little taste of Buffalo in Toronto. Duff's is one of the only places in Toronto that respect the Buffalo style wing. We ordered 1lb medium wings, Mac & cheese wedges and fried pickles. Everything was great. The spice on the wings was spot on. Just enough heat to make your lips feel a little fire. Until we can get to some of our favorite wing joints across the border, Duff's does a wing really well. read more

Having been on a strict keto diet for a couple of months, having a place to go and be able to order something off the regular menu without modification is freaking awesome. Wings here are great (and not just because I've been deprived and have a lower bar now). Large, cooked well and consistently over several visits, sauced appropriately. Possibly the best ones in Toronto. FYI, although the name is the same, Duff's locations operated in Canada are no longer linked to the original Duff's in Buffalo (and, although similar, imho, Buffalo locations are still superior in every way). All Canadian Duff's are owned by the same owner, but no longer affiliated with the American outlets, and this has been the case for many years now. read more

$41.25 for 20 wings, fries, and a pitcher of beer. This works out to about $54.00 after tax and tip. Just starting off, you know that Duff's is not cheap. Even if we pretend that $20.00 dollars were for the pitcher of beer, you're still looking at $34.00 for some fries, and wings. On one hand, you get celery and some dipping sauce (either dill, or blue cheese.) On the other hand - you only get three pieces of celery. All things being equal, celery is not really a loss leader. You'd think they could have afforded to toss out, perhaps 4, or even 5, pieces. But no, three. That alone wouldn't be enough for a 2-star review. What really let me down was when I asked about the Bold BBQ sauce. Now, Duff's is not a place with dozens of difference sauces. I think they had about 12. Most of them were spices (medium, medum-hot, hot, hot-hot, really-hot, and some "crazy hot" things.) I wasn't feeling the spice, but I didn't want a sweet Kraft-like BBQ sauce. I had hoped the bold would be similar to a hickory smoke. When I asked what it was like I was met with a few stumbling answers, and finally, "there's not whisky in it." Which, you know, is interesting and all - but not really descriptive. I took a risk and went with it. It was delicious. The Bold BBQ wings are a great flavour, and go really well with the large bowl of fries you get with the combo. Unfortunately, the wings are smaller than the last time I was there. I'm sure this is universal, across the board, in order to keep costs consistent, they need to make the food portions smaller. But, I don't view $54.00 as a cheap meal, even when shared with another person. The wings were tasty - but no better, nor any worse, than what you'd find at most wing joins. The prices are not delightful, but they are pretty much what you'd expect these days. Unfortunately, it was the lack of knowledge about the flavours that really let me down. read more

Tuesday wing special is the way to go, only $8.75 for 1 lb of wings with a drink order. Add $3.75 extra if you order Death or Armageddon, no clue why this upcharge. We ordered 2 lbs of Armageddon and 1 lb of Lemon Pepper. Love that the wings are nice and crispy. Most places don't fry the flabby wing skin long enough to get that crispy, crunchy skin. Duff's a pro. The Armageddon was amazing. I was underwhelmed by the Lemon Pepper, nothing unique about it. read more

I came here after going to Escape Zone. College street was crazy busy and after walking through walls of smokers outside a lot of different restaurants we decided to go to Duffs. The onion was great and the seasoning was tastey. The wings were perfect the way wings should be spicy, saucy and vinegary I dont know how people can stand eating sweet flavoured wings, if the wing isnt saucy and vinegary im not eating it. You know your in Toronto when they have to put honey-garlic wings on the menu to cater to the bland tounged locals. The mothership on Sheridan Ave. has no other wing type than the one of its fair city. If you are going to attempt to copy the real Duffs, you might want to keep it authentic. The buffalo wings are decent here; however, putting boneless wings on the menu is simply a travesty! Additionally, at least put some Genesee on the beer selection!! read more

Duff's Famous Wings is a chicken stop located on a busy strip of businesses along College St. in Little Italy. The mood here is partly a 'sports bar' vibe mixed with the atmosphere of a sit-down restaurant. Wings are the first reason anyone would walk through the front doors, and the folks in the kitchen do not disappoint. These wings are meaty, generously sized, and seasoned very well. I can't think of many other places in the city that compare in terms of quality. Staff are attentive and pleasant, but when it's busier (during sports events, etc.) you might expect visits to your table to be fewer and farther between. All in all, this is a nice place to unwind by your lonesome or with a group of friends. For the wings alone, try 'em out at least once. read more
