Definitely not your traditional Korean food but the fusion just simply works! The dishes came out pretty fast and the portions were plentiful. The waiters were super attentive and always refilled our water. The seating area is pretty spacious for what it is inside tangram. I never had cheese in my bibimbap before but it worked really well with the hot bowl. As well as lettuce and corn - this combo for some reason just works. The wings were amazing too, and I heard good reviews from my friends with their dishes too. This is a great addition to tangram and I hope they stay open!! A lot of other eateries have closed down in tangram so let's hope this one survives.

3/5 sundubumyeon ($17)- surprisingly bland, asked for gochujang & the server gave me a fork at 1st, idk how he mistook gochujang for a fork, anyway it was decent after adding the gochujang, really wish they'd deshell the shrimp 5/5 kimchi- crunchy, fresh kimchi, def 1 of the crunchiest I've had, wasn't extremely spicy

Such a small portion of cold noodles, no ice and too much cilantro

Wow, this was a huge disappointment for Korean food. We got a bimbimbap and a cold noodle, but there were no veggies in the bimbimbap other than lettuc and corn, and the cold noodle soup was not icy at all - it was tasty but also sickeningly sweet. The good news is that water and free kimchi + seaweed salad came to our table quickly. Portions are extremely small and disappointing.

Korean Nuna Fried Chicken snack - crispy with sweet soy glaze and fried rice cake, kimchi. ~$8. Perfect size for me

3.5 Located on the upper level of the Tangram mall. Thaihee has it's own dining area for sitdown service but I chose to take out (got a table inside the foodhall area). Wanted a small bite: from the snack menu @ $7.95, I got Korean nuna fried chicken- 4 pcs of crispy wings with sweet soy glaze, and few pcs of fried rice cake which went well with the kimchi side. They packed my order in a nice insulated takeout bag but they forgot my bottle of water so had to return for it.

A small little place in Tangram Mall. Based on the name, I thought we were getting Thai food but based on the menu and its photos, we were getting Korean food. The staff was nice and just attentive enough. To start off, the Kimchi was not bad but it was a bit sweet for my liking. My group ordered the fried rice, Roe bibimbap, bacon bibimbap, beef bibimbap and the nuna fried chicken. My friend and I agree that the Roe bibimbap would have been better with a little more substance to it. Maybe they could have added a little kani or even tuna since the roe did not feel like anything. The bacon bibimbap, it was not bad but it was not good either. It is not a typical choice of bibimbap and that is why I tried it. I think I would have been happier getting something else. I was eyeing the kimbap that was ordered by the girl next to us. It was huge and looked better than my bacon bibimbap. The beef bibimbap was a favorite amongst all of us. Even my picky husband enjoyed it, although, he thought it was too spicy for him to finish. Highly recommended. My picky daughter (only 2.5 years old) loved the fried rice. (My husband liked it too.) Especially with the presentation of it in a big blue airplane! It was perfectly seasoned. Now the Nuna fried chicken, the sauce was a bit too sweet for us but the fried chicken aspect of it was so good. I wish they made fried chicken wings a bigger part of their menu, as a main dish rather than an appetizer. It was perfectly fried. I do not think I enjoyed the rice cakes that came with it too much though. I have had better. Would I eat here again? Yeah, maybe. I am not in Queens a lot and the price point is not very enticing.

Grand opening for the newest entry into Tangram food court, which brings you bright and fresh Korean food! Though it seems more like a Korean fusion. There's cheese and corn in the Bibimbap. This place was pretty packed with people when we got there. Fortunately there was one table left in the front. The owner kindly let us sit at a table for four even though there was only two of us. Decor: brightly lit with comfortable seating. Bench seating line the walls. They were having promotion sale on Budae Jjigae. A hotpot with three ways to enjoy. But we tried one of their Meal Sets for 2, instead. Stone Pot with Seafood and Tofu Soup: pretty good. Seafood was very fresh. The shrimp with head on, were huge! Soup was quite flavorful. Slurped all of it up. This bowl comes to the table, piping hot so do be careful. You can see it still boiling. Take shrimp out of the pot soon, otherwise they may get overcooked. Comes with different types of tofu, mushrooms, veggie and a bit of cilantro. Simple and delicious! Signature Roasted Beef Bibimbap. A bit on the spicy side. Spiciness is already pre-added. Rather disappointed in this signature dish. Did not wow me. I've had better versions. As a bibimbap, it didn't have that many different ingredients, unlike so many other versions I've had. Also no egg, they add shredded cheese instead. This dish also comes to the table, piping hot and bubbling. I didn't try it, but the Teriyaki Unagi (eel) Kimbap looked good. The table next to me, ordered it. The eel is placed on top of the roll, instead of inside. Note: If you can't eat spicy food, make sure to take note of the teeny tiny red peppers on the menu, that indicate spiciness. Looking forward to coming back and trying some other dishes.

Food is really good and prices are reasonable. I love that the rice underneath the bowls is crunchy and crispy. Would come back to eat here.

Came here to try. Food was definitely a little on the bland side and service wasn't that bad. The soup didn't have much flavor. Kimbap wasn't bad. So I came back to get takeout. I ordered two kimbap for takeout yesterday since the food wasn't too bad last time I had it. The wait time for my kimbap was around 25+ minutes which is fine. But the worse part was after I ate the food. Within the next 1-2 hr I started feeling very nauseous. I had to throw up to feel better. I am not sure which kimbap made me sick for takeout. I will definitely not come back here after this experience.

We just finished visiting stalls in Tangram, so we decided to try Thaihee for takeout. We ordered via the kiosk in front, which asked for a phone number, but we didn't get a text when or order was ready. We just ended up walking back to the restaurant and had to flag staff down to get our food. But they do a good job separating and insulting orders for takeout. We ordered the: Second Nabe Set Meal for 2 ($45.95), which included Angus snowflake beer hotpot, tuna and seaweed bibimbap, 1 mashed potato scoops, and 2 drinks. The hotpot broth was very savory, so I was actually able to add more vegetables and noodles to create a larger portion size. The bibimbap was a little bland, and it would have been better if some of the vegetables where cut into smaller pieces The mash was odd for me because it was chilled, topped with pork floss and seaweed, and was sweet. Signature King Meat Floss Kimbap ($14.95), which included pickled radish, cucumber, carrots, egg, and is coated in the savory meat floss. This tasted better than expected.

    Nice packaging

This is one of the small restaurants at the Tangram Mall at Flushing Queens. Ordered the King's Crispy Bone in Fried Chicken to go for a snack and it was everything you would expect a Korean fried chicken would be. It was vey crunchy a little sweet on the outside and juicy in the inside. It was well worth the price. We'll definitely go back again if I'm in the area! It also comes with a reusable insulated bag!

Came with a friend and we got the $55.95 nabe set for 2 which came with a big korean army style stew, two drinks, and a unagi kimbap. The stew came with rice, ramen, and cheese. Honestly that is more than enough food for 2 but we also wanted to try the pork floss kimbap and ordered that as well. I love their qr code ordering system so you can order whenever you want and add items along the way. The stew was good, a little bit spicy and loaded with lots of ingredients. I wish there was a little more beef but overall, I think the combo set was very worth it for the price. The unagi kimbap and pork floss kimbap were both very good. Service was pretty attentive - they refilled waters and added more soup when ours boiled down. They were still in their opening discount promo and gave us 12% discount off the meal which was nice! Would come back again for the kimbaps!

Before you dine, keep in mind, this is not really Korean food, I want to say it's Thai/Chinese's take on Korean Food. Yes, they have similar ingredients but the tastes are not like your traditional Korean food... the owner is Chinese, and since he didn't speak any English, it was very difficult to ask him any questions about the food. And when I google Thaihee - there is a location in the UK, dishes look the same. . We got the Nabe Set Meal for 2 $45.95- comes with: -2 scoops of chilled mashed potato's topped with pork floss and seaweed - this was good, nothing spectacular, I thought it was a tad on the small side -Colorful Tuna and seaweed bibimbap - they really load up on the toppings. Im not complaining about the ingredients, although the bokchoy and zucchini could have been cut into smaller pieces. But man, the sauce they had in it was very good. Tastes like unagi sauce. It was enough sauce to coat each and every grain. -Angus Snowflake beef hotpot - this was very good, the broth was a soy sauce based but not overly salty. Once again, they load up on the ingredients, like lettuce, fish cake, rice cake, seaweed, red onions and vermicelli. I would prefer some cabbage but in understand it takes awhile to cook. -2 soft drinks . In all, we were very impressed with our meal and we are looking forward to trying more of their menu items. . Because they are in their soft opening phase, they have some promos going on, we got 12% off our meal. Oh, and try to go early during this time because our first attempt on a Friday evening at 8pm, the food was sold out.. . Oh, don't sleep on their kimchi, it was very good. More on the new than preserved side, which I prefer more.

Here's what we ordered - Lava rock cheese tteokgalbi (5/5): so delicious and not heavy at all if you're worried about that. It was surprisingly not oily, the meat was plump and juicy, and there was just the right amount of cheese. The dipping sauce was also surprisingly light and complemented the dish well - Collagen gomtang (5/5): wow this soup was so flavorful and had so much depth. The menu is also very cute and I'm guessing handmade. It was pretty detailed and we appreciated learning about each dish before deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! I'd come back to try their other food options in the future!

The inside is casual,…read moreand our waitress, Jane, was extremely friendly and helpful from refilling banchan to cooking meats and otherwise. A couple of us shared a $13 bottle of the green grape flavor of Chum Churum, a soju. In terms of banchan, there was a bunch. Everyone got a cold and refreshing cabbage soup as well as a very tasty version of Braised Tofu/Dubu-jorim/두부조림. Once we ordered, we also got a bunch of other banchan, including cabbage, radish, and cucumber Kimchi, broccoli and cauliflower Namul, Marinated Mushrooms/Beoseot Bokkeum/버섯볶음, Anchovies With Peanuts/Myeolchi Bokkeum/멸치볶음, and Potato/Gamja Salad/감자샐러드. One of the other things brought out was a pretty tasty version of Raw Soy Sauce Marinated Crab/Ganjang-Gejang/간장게장. Most of these were refillable. The first actual thing that arrived was something that I can't eat, the $22.99 Seafood Pancake/Haemul Pajeon/해물파전. I have a cephalopod allergy, or in other words, anything with tentacles, so I avoid squid and octopus, and seafood pancakes always contain one of those two. Everyone else enjoyed it, though. The pajeon I could eat was the Kimchi Jeon/김치전 for a dollar less. It was pretty tasty, though I prefer other spots that had a bit more of a crisp. Next was one of their signatures, the grilled duck. Going from online reviews, we went with the non-spicy version, as people prefer it, as the spicier marinade overpowers the duck. This was the $29.99 Sang Ori Gui/생오리구이. The sliced duck was on a hot, sizzling plate, with there also being a lot of grilled onions and scallions. The duck had a mix of pieces, ranging from fatty to less so, and had a nice mix of textures. This was easily one of my favorites, though I liked it even more when paired with the ssamjang that arrived with the BBQ, as the sauce balanced the light fattiness. Arriving at a similar time was the last thing I couldn't eat, the Spicy Stir-Fried Baby Octopus on Iron Plate/Jjukkumi Cheolpan Bokkeu/철판쭈꾸비볶음, for $30.99. I couldn't try the octopus, but the portion was plentiful, and I had a bit of the noodles on the bottom after making sure there were no tentacles, as well as trying the sauce. The sauce was tasty, spicy, and very flavorful. We went with two of the Korean BBQ meats, one beef and one pork. My preference of the two was surprisingly the $49.99 Charcoal Grilled Marinated Beef Ribs/Yangnyeom Galbi/양념갈비. This also came with two veggies: kabocha squash and asparagus. The beef was extremely tender, had the perfect mix of fat and meat, and had only a light sweetness from the marinade. This was absolutely delicious and very much worth the price point. Also tasty was the Grilled Pork Belly/Samgyeopsal/삼겹살, for $36.95. This also came with a few things, including cabbage and a large mushroom. The pork belly was delicious, being just fatty enough and very tender as well, with a mild chew. The BBQ came with a few extra side dishes. This included a tasty steamed egg/Gyeran-jjim/계란찜, greens, an onion salad, ssamjang, salt, and a small boiling pot of soybean stew/doenjang jjigae. They were all tasty, though nothing particularly notable outside of the portions being generous. Also, at the end of the meal, they gave us some sujeonggwa. Not much for me to complain about this place. The food was very tasty overall, and the service was wonderful. I would go back and order a full beef BBQ set.
