Reservations for a group of 9 on a Sunday was convenient because of the parking lot. Service was attentive. We all really liked the seafood pancake -- crispy! I ordered the grilled yellow croaker and assorted tofu with ramen. Oh, man, I was not expecting such a huge bowl of tofu with beef bits and seafood and ramen. I shared with others and packed the leftovers. As for the fish, it was flaky and good, but lazy me felt it was too much work for the little bit of fish for each attempt of removing the flesh from the body. I ate half and shared the rest with the group. Oh, I ordered the soup plain since I was sharing with a toddler who doesn't like spicy flavors. Next time, I'll try a bit of spicy for my soup. So glad someone recommended this place for our family dinner.

Mom and I used to frequent BCD tofu in Queens before it closed down, and we were craving another Korean tofu place. Cue google search and coming up with SGD Tofu, and finding out it's just a 10 minute drive away. Long story short, we've been coming here regularly for the past couple years. The tofu soup is always fresh and flavorful. Rice comes sizzling in a stone pot and the tofu soup with crispy rice is amazing. I prefer the mushroom tofu soup and we've also gotten the oyster soup, and spice levels are on point. Banchan varies and is so tasty. We've gotten fish cakes, macaroni salad, broccoli and cauliflower, kimchi, among others. Service has always been quick and to the point. No complaints here! Price point is very fair too, for all the food you get and I always leave here really full. Ambiance is simple and cozy. Nothing fancy but we come here for the food and the service. We'll continue to come back!

Pretty good. They we're able to accomodate my party of 8. Service was friendly. Food was good. We were looking for a place that did soondubu in the queens/flushing area, now that bcd has not reopened. SgD Tofu House will definitely be our go to spot from now on.

SGD is a Korean chain specializing in soondubu and other classic Korean dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive, and service was quick with little wait time for a table. We ordered the LA Galbi combo with the Original Soondubu, along with seafood pancakes and a stone pot rice. The stone pot rice was well done and paired nicely with the soondubu. The soondubu itself was solid but fairly average, comparable to what you'd find at similar restaurants, and the portion felt a bit pricey for what you get. The seafood pancake was tasty with a good crisp, though a little on the oily side, but overall a satisfying portion.

Craving some yummy tofu soup after BCD tofu closed ? Try this spot with a variety of combinations. You can opt for noodles instead of the hot stone rice for a few bucks. Usually don't need to wait a long time to get seated. The service can be a bit slow at busy times. The grilled squid was nicely cooked and seasoned. After dinner, you can go next door for coffee at Paris Baguette or go sing some tunes at karaoke!

I've been in mourning since BCD Bayside closed but I finally found a replacement.. might I say.. they're better? You walk in and it's homey. They serve a delicious salad with cute banchans We tried the pollack roe tofu stew - loved it. I love spicy food so their spicy level was mild for me. Next time, I'll be getting very spicy. The flavor was great! Tons of tofu and roe - haven't seen other tofu places pull this off. Yum! The LA Galbi was great. Lots of meat! The marinade was a touch sweet and the meat was cooked well The black sesame mushroom tofu stew - this was great. There was no meat and yet the mushroom was delicious! We had this non spicy and it was bomb Also tried the stone pot bibimbap - portion was small but it was good! Wouldn't come here for this because you can find it elsewhere The mackerel - grilled to perfection. Not smelly and very meaty. My mom and aunt approved The rice was what makes this place different. The rice came in a stone pot. They did it better than BCD Service was a touch slow but it's ok because the food was the highlight!

Came for dinner on a Thursday night and we ordered two grilled meat and tofu stew combos. The portion sizes were decent compared to other tofu stew houses in the area. Sides were pretty solid as well. Didn't feel too thirsty after and the need to chug water from all the salt in the food. Prices were reasonable compared to other Korean restaurants in the neighborhood. Would recommend if you are in the Murray Hill area.

SGD was my boyfriend and I's go to since they opened their original location in Murray Hill. When we found out that they opened back up in this new location, I was so excited. It is definitely a lot bigger than their old location, which is great, so we won't have to wait for seats anymore. However, over the years the prices definitely increased. Unfortunate, but it's the same situation for every restaurant nowadays. They still give plenty of banchans and I always appreciate that they are willing to refill as much as we want. I always love to get their seafood soondubu and galbi combo; you can never go wrong with it. The galbi is super tender and flavorful and the dish comes with a good number of pieces. I also like that the soondubu is so customizable, like the spice level, protein choice, etc. It also comes with a bowl of rice (as it should) and the combination of everything just hits the spot. This meal is perfect for any time of the year, but when it's cold or rainy, a soupy meal warms you up real quick.

My friend recommended this place as it has a parking lot and she said good korean soft tofu place. I haven't gone to a good tofu spot in a while, and since she recently went to Korea, I take her recommendations seriously. It was pretty good. The place was bustling with customers eating on a weekday night. I was impressed. There are many different options to choose from and can make it into a combination as well. I chose the meat + tofu stew combo. They give a good amount, and I definitely didn't leave hungry that night.

First things first ... this place can not be compared to BCD Tofu House, not today .. not ever. I was a frequent flyer at BCD and I was hoping and praying SGD Tofu House & BBQ was going to as good but unfortunately it was not. I ordered the same tofu soup (oyster) so I could compare. I enjoyed the option of adding ramen to my dish but I must say that the flavor just wasn't there. The soup felt 'water-downed' and there were only 4 pieces of oysters in my soup. I was very disappointed to say the least. We ordered the fried dumplings, oyster soondubu ramen, pork bulgogi and soondubu combo and tonkatsu. Dumplings, very crunchy and delish. The pork bulgogi lacked flavor and was too sweet. My son enjoyed the tonkatsu and said the pork tasted really good. The service was very lacking. I requested ice water for my son three separate times before it was actually brought to the table. And to get a refill was another waiting game. There were 3 different wait staff members working and none of them were very attentive. Would I go back? I can't say I will but I do wish them continued success.

I love this Korean restaurant. I love their spicy cold noodles, calamari and LA short rib. Small dishes also delicious . Service way better that other Korean restaurants

NO MORE LUNCH SPECIALS. They used to have lunch specials. Not sure if it's worth it for $15 soondubu when HMart has BCD tofu package for $3 DIY and ziggle tofu Nearby has $10 soondubu lunch special M-F Food was good but not worth $15

So glad to find a new tofu place to go to. Missed BCD, and this place really hit the spot. The menu has much more options and food was delish! I ordered the LA Galbi combo with kimchi tofu. Def recommend coming here. Just a heads up there is parking lot but it's a very busy area. I recommend coming early and a weekday.

There was a lot of energy in the place. The wait staff were friendly. Food was great but was pricey per skewer. Food 5/5: Delicious and tasted close to skewer cart (this is a win!). Would have loved to try more things but some skewers were up to $3 each so it got pricey fast. They did have a large selection of skewers to choose from. You get a wrist band with a QR code that tracks what skewers you order. Non-skewer items could be ordered using your phone. Everything was fresh. They had house-made spice and sauce packets at each table. Every table had a cheat sheet showing how long to barbecue each type of skewer. We tried the bbq scallops which were full of garlicky goodness and cold noodles which was a refreshing balance to the heat of the grill. Service 5/5: Friendly waiter. Gave us the run down on how things worked in the restaurant. Periodically checked in on us. No complaints. Ambiance 4/5: Prefacing that the high energy environment was not really my cup of tea but I know others may prefer it. Bright flashing lights and loud music playing over speakers drowned out conversation. That said, the tables were spaced well so every party had their own personal space and restaurant was clean.

It was a bit drafty at the table closest to the doors, but the host was super accommodating and willing to switch our table. He also provided us with some hot tea while we waited - so considerate! We decided on the Mixed Combo B for 2, which comes with pork belly, pork shoulder, brisket, and marinated short ribs. All of the meats are really good. I'm not the biggest fan of pork shoulder, but this was good here! Kimchi stew always hits different at BBQ spots, and Golden Pig's is delicious. We ordered an extra to go! They don't have a takeout menu yet, but the staff was kind enough to pack us some kimchi and rice anyway. Banchan here is simple but done really well. All orders are put in on the tablet at each table. While the layout of the restaurant is still very much similar to Jeong Yook and Baekjeong previously, it's definitely an upgrade. Ventilatation is pretty good but be prepared to still smell a bit after. Prices are super reasonable. Parking is doable but not always the easiest. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Tables were clean and I loved how the chairs can open up and you can put your things inside. We ordered seafood pancake, japchae, combo C Wagyu beef, pork jowl meat, army stew, and fried mushroom with sweet and sour sauce. The combo came with steamed egg and your choice of Kimchi stew/soybean paste stew. I have to say everything was delicious, quality was amazing you can see the nice marbling on their meats! Sometimes when I go to a kbbq, some meats are just meh and tough to eat. But everything was so good. My favorite meat was the marinated short rib. The servers cooked for us and asked us how done we liked our meat and they constantly refilled our kimchi and side salads as well. They provided hot tea and cold water for us too which were stored in really nice carafes. Little small details in this place just elevated the experience for me. I would definitely come back! I think price was very reasonable for a kbbq place as well!
