Milk Tea /Boba Chicken Potstickers Green Curry White Rice

Quick service, went late into lunch time so it was nice & quiet. The food was delicious, I shared the green curry with chicken and some chicken pot stickers with my mom and we both enjoyed the dishes. Would definitely come back again.

Four dishes for takeout: - Evil jungle prince - Spicy eggplant - Pad se ew - orange chicken All good if not really flavorful. Two of the dishes were ordered medium spicy but were prepared with not a hint of heat. The chicken pieces in the orange chicken were a bit tough. Decent portions, reasonable prices, easy online ordering. Overall, A-OK.

First time trying Thai Table and the potstickers and chicken pad Thai were amazing. Customer service was very nice as well. We will be back.

Great place for a classic Thai food. Nothing too fancy! Super nice employees. Bare-bones, but pleasant atmosphere.

Cafe des Chutes - Drink Menu (Sept 2025)

Cafe des Chutes

Cafe des Chutes is a lovely spot with outdoor seating near several small stores and an artist…read morespace. The cafe itself is very small so plan to sit outside if you're dining in. We came here for a weekend lunch, ordered baguette sandwiches, coffees, and a hazelnut cookie. All were delicious and they had lots to choose from! We enjoyed walking around afterwards, as the area is perfect for a small outing and shopping. Lots of available free parking as well. We'll be back!

I heard from everyone to try an Ocean Roll from Sparrow, but I've had Scandinavian cardamon based…read moretreats before and I know I don't enjoy that flavor profile. I looked around for something similar, but less the cardamon and came across Cafe des Chutes. We visited at 9 am on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded at all, with only a single person ahead. They have plenty of seating and I think most people decide to eat their treats in the cafe; we had to hit the trail though, so we got ours to go to eat while hiking. Mango Sticky Rice Honey Glazed Croissant ($6.25) - Woah, this is an exceptionally sticky pastry, so sticky it's actually a little cumbersome to eat since the glaze spreads on any surface it touches and becomes very difficult to remove. The glaze tastes just like fresh honey - in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it were mostly honey. There's not much mango flavor until closer to the center, along with another flavor of something very fragrant almost flowery They sprinkle coconut flakes on top, giving a somewhat fruity flavor. The croissant itself is very good - great crust, nicely flaky and crisp with a great texture on the interior, chewy and airy. The lamination seems to be good based on a cursory inspection, but I didn't have a sharp bread knife on me for a clean cut as I usually do. The pastry is very sweet and the glaze covers up the flavor of the croissant entirely. (5/5) Oregon Roll ($6.25) - This base, on the other hand, is really buttery, combining the great lamination, crispy and flaky, with great flavor. There's a fantastic honeycomb texture on the inside combined with the perfect chewiness. They do add a marionberry swirl on the interior, which is pretty obviously included in terms of color, but can't really be tasted on top of the croissant butteriness. On top, they spread a spiced hazelnut glaze, sweet and nutty, almost like peanut butter in texture mixed with butter. Delicious pastry overall. (5/5) Savory Bread Pudding ($10) - This is a super dense and heavy (in weight) bread pudding baked in a muffin mold. They offer to heat it up and it's a really good idea to eat this warmed. We opted to get it cold since we weren't going to eat it for a couple of hours (for a picnic lunch) and it basically wasn't edible, with super dense, bitter and stale tasting bread, making it hard to even stick a fork into the top. We ended up waiting until we got to the hotel room to heat it up the next morning for breakfast, which made it much more palatable. There's some mushroom essence with tons of black pepper and a dense yet pleasingly chewy bread. Cheese is baked on top and there's a little vegetal bitterness from spinach. Not rating this since we ate it the next day. Overall I enjoyed my treats from Cafe des Chutes. I would visit again the next time I'm in Bend. Bathrooms - Tiny room near the front. The water heater takes up some of the space inside, so it's quite warm in the room

The wife of the husband - wife ownership team is, as I understand it, from an island off the southern coast of Thailand and that may be one of the reasons our first experience here was a delicious one. Our inaugural dish of a Northern Thai (Burmese really) fav of mine, Khao Soi (@$18) was excellent and served with authentic touches, like pickled mustard greens. Big enough to share and served in stainless bowl on stainless tray for us as we were eating in at one of the tables in the food hall. We devoured it and left eager to try ThAiPAS again. My husband and I love Thai food and and during past years when we were Bend residents we enjoyed several local Thai eateries, including some that came and went as marginal storefronts and others that were pretty terrible as food trucks. But we enjoyed Wild Rose for Northern Thai dishes and also Noi for Thai food. From our single experience at ThAiPAS it is in that good company and comparing Khao Soi here to Wild Rose, the ThAiPAS dish would take the prize for us. GOOD FOOD TAKES TIME: The kitchen is small and if our experience was typical, even with two cooks on board there and someone else taking orders at the counter, even at non busy times it can take a while to have food completed. Be prepared. You'll receive a pager that will alert you when order is ready and it is worth the wait. ONLINE ORDERS: When we're in Bend these days it is for caregiving for a family member so ThAiPAS' online order option will be on our radar in the future. If you do order on line I'll share that I note from the (woefully inadequately sized) Grove parking lot that there is an outside window for ThAiPAS so it may be you can get to go orders without having to go inside. (But you still have to park and boy, howdy, that can be a challenge here.) I'll link here their page that shows a map and allows click through to see menu: https://www.thaipasco.com/ A LOCATION WHERE TIMING IS EVERYTHING: For the unfamiliar with this neighborhood, and we lived nearby in Bend for 18 years before escaping the tourists (sorry not sorry if you are among the roughly 1.5 MILLION annual tourist visitors reading this :-)) to move away 8 years ago, both a high school and outpost of Oregon State University are nearby and during the months school is in session any business in The Grove food hall with the exception of Sebastian's Fresh Seafood and Specialty Market (and you should shop there...that review is pending) is likely to be jam packed with students at lunch hour. Be aware. ACCESSIBLITY: ADA compliant (one space / van accessible per ADA and OR code) in The Grove lot. Ample clear floor space throughout The Grove to be fully accessible to diners on wheels at order counters and in seating. Several standard height tables. THE LOO: The Grove's bathrooms are at a bit lower level and universally accessible ramp access is provided for everyone to walk or roll down and up. PARKING: Private lot is very small so more likely you'll need to find neighborhood street parking.

Bakeries were seemingly on every other block and I knew that I was going to do some serious damage to my expectations upon my return to Bend. I am happy to report that M's is my new daily destination for pastries at the Old Mill. This is a bakery that could compete with the best pattiseries and boulangeries in Paris. They offer croissants, almond croissants, chocolate croissants, seasonal chuffins, ham & cheese croissants, monkey bread, kougi amann, blueberry muffins, gluten-free cookies, and more. I always leave with one or two boxes full of treats. I've tried their olive sourdough, which I found to be excellent, if albeit pricey-enough to make it a rarer purchase for me. They have an excellent selection of coffees, as you'd expect. But the thing I must emphasize is that we have a bakery *right here* in Bend that could hold its own against the best in France! Highly recommended!
