Waited another 15 minutes and my entree salad finally arrives...with dressing...and a lot of it. 5 minutes later the correct plate gets to me, salmon is very overcooked but not sending it back. Its also salty but again ill eat it. The server Bri was serviceable and accommodating. ****warning **** My wife and I became very ill with an intestinal issues less than an hour after eating here. What's is the odds that we both became very sick with in minutes of each other with no prior symptoms. And, it's the only place we ate at yesterday. We always share the porterhouse steak and add an extra salad and potato; have for years. Not because we are cheap, it's because we both like the porterhouse and otherwise it would be too much food for the two of us. The steak came out and it was undercooked, and they only brought 2/3 of the order. We shared the steak, mushrooms and bread, and became awfully sick an hour later. Are the internet stories true about food tampering when the kitchen is pissed at you? Was is more widespread like hygiene or food quality? Who knows, but we won't be eating here any longer. I stoped at the restroom before our 45 minute drive home and by the looks of that restroom it could have easily been a hygiene issue. I wonder how many people got sick last night after eating here or what the statistics are over a year time period. Horrible experience tonight. Out of prime rib at 6pm It says limited availability however we got there at 5, waited an hour and 10 minutes to eat and then sold out. Really at 6 pm on a Saturday. Told the manager we were not happy and she accused us of cussing when we never said one cuss word. She did finally say she guess she mis understood on that. She was rude as heck and could have not cared less if we were happy or not. We left after waiting all that time as I didn't want spit in my food. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar for dinner yesterday (12/29/24) and we both ordered the same thing, a medium rare New York strip. Unfortunately when we both cut into our steaks they were blue, ultimately as rare as rare gets. They took it back on the grill and when the steaks came back, one was still rare and the other was barely a medium rare, still on the cusp of being rare. We were incredibly disappointed at the lack of awareness and empathy by the management towards us. The woman who brought us back our steaks looked like she didn't even want to be there. This was my first time at this location but I've been to a bunch of other locations before. Even though this is a chain restaurant I have to say that it has always been great from the food all the way to the staff each restaurant that I visited in different states has been awesome. We went for a late lunch early dinner yesterday and was seated immediately. Waiter Andrew was amazing and very friendly. We ordered Burgers, steaks, chicken fried chicken, salads, appetizers, drinks and everything was delivered at the right time. We were served the appetizers and were given plenty of time to enjoy them before our main course arrived. Our drinks were kept filled and dirty dishes were cleaned up immediately after use. Now on to the food, We started off with a cactus blossom that was fried perfectly, serve piping hot with amazing Cajun sauce. We also ordered a appetizer combo that included boneless buffalo wings, tater skins and fried pickles. This was served with ranch dressing and everything was delicious. So for our main courses we had two sirloins and grilled shrimp plates, one steak and rib plate, one classic burger plate, and one country fried chicken plate. Sirloin and grilled shrimp was amazing. Steak was cooked perfectly to medium and the shrimps were nice and juicy. The steak we had topped with mushrooms and onions and this meal was served with a side salad topped with ranch dressing and a loaded baked potato. The sides were pretty amazing as well and we're a nice compliment to the meal. Sirloin and grilled shrimp number 2 was also amazing. This steak was cooked well done and was just as enjoyable as the first plate. For the sides it was also a loaded baked potato and mixed Steam vegetables. Sirloin and ribs was the next entree ordered and the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare was delicious didn't have any gristle or much fat to it. The ribs are indeed fall off the bone and we're very tasty. As for the sides loaded mashed potatoes and a bowl of chili was requested. The only negative about this meal was the loaded mashed potatoes. They were really dry and did not taste very good. The chili on the other hand was absolutely delicious. Country fried chicken was child approved! It was served with an absolutely delicious brown gravy on top and it was fried perfectly crispy. As for the sides there was a salad and loaded french fries. All American cheeseburger was cooked perfectly well done without being too dry. It included American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onion. It was served on a Texas size bun. This comes with steak fries that we upgraded to loaded fries. This definitely was a juicy thick Burger that tasted fresh and amazing. We also had the legend margaritas and wow they really are legendary. These were definitely strong Margaritas filled with three different types of Patron vodka. I do have to give a shout out to our waiter Andrew. He was very kind very helpful and very patient taking our very large order. I like TXRDH. I have eaten at dozens of locations on the road and find them consistently good. Tonight was just OK. Service was great. Mandy & her sidekick at the bar were great. Hostesses were great. Servers were great but my food was a cut below the norm. In order of offense: 1. Out of Miller Light 2. Shrimp sidekick overcooked and rubbery 3. Salmon under-grilled but not undercooked 4. Broccoli was more stalk than florets 5. Green beans were small pieces & parts. Nothing I was served really met the standards I usually expect. Upon arriving I explained that there would be 15 of us and I'd tried to call ahead but hung up after being on hold for 20 minutes. The girl up front said she'd been on break during that time but would get us a table as soon as possible. I guess no one else could answer the phone. Upon being told our table was ready, things went from bad to worse. They added a small table to the end of a booth then put the remainder of us at the booth next to the first one. Our waitress was awesome and kept apologizing for our party being split up. All that said, my son-in-law got the wrong steak and was told by the server it was actually a better steak and he should keep it, my daughters steak was over cooked as well as my own. They didn't want to let us use two coupons for a free kids meal and free appetizer as we were one group and they could only accept 1 coupon per group. After speaking to the manager and explaining that being seated at two separate tables technically broke up our group, she did let us use both coupons. Brunt of the experience? I grabbed a to-go order for my family yesterday. It was absolutely flawless from beginning to end. I minimized one of the thousand tabs on my computer screen and placed an order through their website. I was able to choose a pickup time. There was one small downfall. The menu makes you want literally everything. I can't tell you how many times I went back and forth with my choices. I decided to order chicken tenders, ribs, chili, and baked potatoes. Everything was freshly prepared. The portion size for every meal was large. The chicken was nice and crispy. The ribs were tender and meaty (leftovers for me tomorrow). the chili was perfectly seasoned and hearty. The to-go order was well packaged. We were given rolls, butter, condiments to compliment our meal, and silverware. Everything was separated as requested. The icing on the cake was the sweat waitress who delivered to my car. The way just greeted me properly and was extremely friendly the entire night. I absolutely love that! Walked in on a Sunday evening and got seated immediately. We've always had decent meals at their chain stores. Then tonight was the exception. We had a male waiter who got our drinks then came back and had to ask me if I wanted a sprite with my water and I told him yes. That took a while to get our drinks. They were not that crowded and we didn't think much about it. Then he asked about our appetizer, we told him what we would like. Then that came out about ten minutes later. Now I know the restaurant/food service industry being an inspector in the field. Now we finished the appetizer and no waiter has came back to take our orders, usually I'll get up and leave at this point. We waited for over a half-hour for the guy to show back up. Turns out that he was in the restroom depositing a load. I had to wave him down to ask him if he was going to take our orders or not. Naturally he was all apologetic and stated that he had thought that he had taken our orders. Think not since we been waiting here over 30 minutes and numerous waiters and bus boys had went passed us and noticed that we were not getting any service, nor did they inform a manger either. I thought that it might be because we're white. He finally took our orders and disappears again, then stops by to apologize again about another five minutes later. We had used plates and saucers on our table that sat there a good 20 minutes. I had to ask him if he would take our dirty dishes since we were setting at a two person table which doesn't leave you a lot of table space. He took the dirty dishes. Then our meals came out, my wife's looked good and it seemed that mine was decent too. Except that my baked potato has a growth in it about an inch long. For about 5-10 minutes I'm tried to find my waiter. Then my wife asked a female waiter to stop and I then asked her if she can get me another baked potato with butter only that doesn't have a growth within it. The kitchen should have caught this issue since they place the items on the plates and cut the baked potatoes opened to add the toppings, there is no way that they could have missed this item because it was right where they cut the potato into two pieces. She said that she would find our waiter. She came back and informed us that she could not find him either. I then put the potato on the saucer that she brought to me and asked her to get me the potato since our waiter couldn't be found. She did. At that point we decided to leave. I then grabbed two more styrofoam food boxes to go, packed up our meals without eating them, paid the bill and still left the worthless person a 15% tip. I know, what an idiot I was. Yes, Texas Roadhouse! Texas Roadhouse is my favorite affordable steak restaurant and while I've thoroughly enjoyed their locations in Houston and Austin, this one is no different. The atmosphere is energetic with friendly service and the cinnamon-butter rolls were amazing as always! Usually I lean away from change, but this time I opted to try their Beef Tips instead of my usual Ribeye. Oh, that's not that different? Hey, I still wanted beef....baby steps. If you want a delicious beef alternative to steak that's more affordable, definitely go for the Beef Tips. I love how I can choose to have mine cooked medium rare and that it comes with mushrooms and onions, which cost extra when getting steaks. Good deal? You bet! The cuts of steak are really good and tastes essentially like regular steaks that are cut up for you. The mushrooms and onions? Cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that I value the natural taste of everything on my plate, especially the beef. I felt that the gravy that was added to the beef, mushrooms, and onions was too salty and ended up masking the true flavors. I can see myself getting this dish again, but maybe next time I'll ask for less gravy. In terms of quantity, I was full at the end, so no worries there. read more

You can't never get a 20 oz prime rib medium rare, or some times other cuts. 2 stars are for service only. I'll be the first to say I don't frequent chain restaurants but I was meeting my parents here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Wait time was very short surprisingly since we did come around 145 right after church. I ordered the onion blossom. In terms of flavor it hit all notes but the texture was off- some parts tasted uncooked and it was hard to eat. The onion was a bit crunchy on the inside. For my entree I ordered the chicken breast with portabella mushroom sauce. I had to send it back because it was way too salty. I had them bring out the smothered chicken breast and not only was it also salty but my chicken was over cooked. For my sides I had the corn and Mac n cheese- I sent both back. The corn had a weird texture and no flavor at all. Mac n cheese tasted like it came out of a box and they forgot to add the powdered cheese sauce, and ended up drizzling a bunch of margarine on top. This place blew me away in all the wrong ways! I don't even know where to start. First, I place an online order and go to curbside. The signs say to call to let them know you have arrived and what parking space you are in, so I give them a call. The girl who answered the phone from the start had a very rude tone of voice for literally no reason. I explained why I was there and got no response, so I told her what space I was parked in and she told me they do not do curbside after 9:00 PM. That is fine, but it is not posted anywhere. So then I go inside to pick up my order, and they tell me go to this second desk and they'll help me. So I go to the second desk, and the girl there tells me to go into their food packaging room and pick up my order. So I go inside and pick up my order and then I hear a few employees getting very upset with me and more negative tones telling me "Don't ever come inside here again. This food is not ready. Who are you?" at this point, I'm getting pretty agitated and tell them my name and mention that I was told to come in and pick up my order by another employee. I also took the opportunity to tell them they needed to put up some signs and maybe work on their communication skills. When I finally got my food, I left and called the manager to complain. I told her I didn't want free food or anything like that, but I was very upset by my experience at this location and will not be returning again. I think this place needs to train their employees better and maybe provide them some education on customer service. I ordered online to be ready at a certain time cause I was on a road trip and didn't want to waste time sitting down and eating. The order was ready over 20 mins before scheduled pick up time so it was cold when I got there. I asked if they could warm it up somehow and they had no solutions except for me to take my cold food. When I said "well if I ordered to be ready at 6:15 I expect it to be ready right around there" the room full of to go employees gave me dirty looks like that was an incorrect thing to say.
