I love old downtowns. It's nice to see old businesses repurposed. The food was very good as was the service. I'll be back next time in town.

Boss Lady and I came in for dinner. The joint was jumping due to tons of kids, it was prom night. Bad timing on our part. The service was a bit slow but was worth it after the food was delivered. She had a medium rare steak and fries. I had the salmon over rice. Both were really good but there was too much balsamic sauce on both mains. It all tasted really delicious even with the heavy handed chef. I had a very nice old fashion. Overall we had a very pleasant time. read more

Was in Longview on business and stopped by Judds as it was touted as a local steakhouse and I wanted to try a Texas steakhouse dinner. I sat at the bar, which was fine...nothing fancy, had a Caesar salad, which was 'blah' and ordered a filet mignon with a side of veggies. Filet was cooked perfectly and just how I ordered (rare) but it lacked flavor and was underwhelming to say the least. Fortunately the veggies were also lacking as it'd be a HUGE disappointment had the veggies outperformed the steak in an establishment noted for steaks. Excellent!!! Service was terrific and so was the food. Hubs and I shared the pork ribeye and added a ceasar. Best ceasar I've had in ages! Didn't really know what to expect from a pork ribeye but it was excellent! The habanero jam had a nice kick but not overpowering. Mom had the chicken strips and said rheynwere great. They were huge! Found this hidden gem during our travels. We got seated quickly... no wait for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. TABATHA was our waitress and what a fantastic job. She recommended the French dip when I inquired about it...she did a great job on that recommendation... I loved it. TABATHA had a great personality, beautiful smile, and super efficient. This restaurant is located in the downtown area of the town of Longview in East Texas. It's on the main strip which is pedestrian friendly. Parking is free but can be a bit cramped. You are unlikely to find parking directly in front of the restaurant. However, walk around the corner and you will get a spot. Young university women dressed in black tops and miniskirts were running the place. In the back of the venue, there were chunky long hightop tables that could seat large parties. Up front were more of your standard 4-seaters. The place filled quickly and was a popular spot for dinner or drinks at the bar where a tv with sports was showing. This is not a dumpy diner. This is Longview's attempt at a nice sit down restaurant. The restaurant has a nice menu with a wide selection of food choices. I went for the chicken alfredo and my husband had grits and blackened shrimp. Quantities were substantial and will leave you feeling stuffed if you try to clean your plate. Food was somewhat salty and generic tasting. The garlic bread that came with my pasta was actually a dinner roll cut in half, slathered with butter, heavy handed with garlic salt, and then toasted. Price was nearly $20 per plate. My 4 oz margarita on the rocks was $10!!!! Insanely high prices. read more

My sweet potato fries were a mixed of regular fries and looked liked they were off another persons plate. For the price you pay you would thing they would care more about how the food comes out. Hands down some of the best chicken strips I've ever had. Seasoned and cooked perfectly!! Don't let the coloring fool you, these were yummy! I'm a huge fan of Ranch and theirs is in my top 5 for restaurants I've been to. They've take a simple item and made it so much better than you could ask for. I need to go back for these soon. Menu options are endless, so you're bound to find something that fits your taste. Also, if you enjoy wines/spirits, they do have a full bar. Have wanted to stop in here for several years and finally did so whilst roaming through downtown. We weren't that hungry so we ordered a salad and side of fries. Food was excellent as was the service. The atmosphere, however, is worth crowing about: extremely sexy, dark, tasteful decor, warm, and the exposed brick highlighted the character of the venue. The selection of wine was above average with a nice Stag's Leap Cap catching my eye (I don't drink a lot of white). The bourbon and single malt whisky choices were comprehensive and surprising for this "small" town. I wasn't drinking today. The beer selection was disappointing but what I would expect in Longview. I call it a collection largely comprised of rodeo or NASCAR beer, the kind of beer a guy who frequently uses the term "cold beer" when speaking of his choice of beverage to drink with his well-done steak. Well, I tried to give them another shot; however, they continued to let me down. I will say the pork tasted great, but the sweet potatoes smelled and tasted like sweaty week-old gym socks. Stay far away from their sweet potatoes as they are not sweet and very sour. At the end of our meal, we asked for the check. We watched the waitress walk out front and sit on her phone smoking. We thought, wow, that was really bold of her..... Still lousy food and still horrible service; I will say it was less crowded. read more

Great place to grab dinner when you're downtown. The food was great, the service was great, and they treated our granddaughter as a queen.

It's nice to watch music outside downtown then walk over to Judds for a beer and meal. It's clean, fast service, and reasonably priced.

It was a nice evening, so we sat outside! traveling with pups Sometimes it's challenging! Just 4 tables outside, but it was perfect for us. Our server was kind and appropriately attentive. I ordered the orange and honey salmon, and he had Tuscan seafood pasta. Both were incredible. I am not one who usually cleans my plate, but I sure did! I am hopeful the recipes I find online are half as good. Hubby said the pasta could have used more spice. Creme brule for desert was good, too. The price point was average. Cannot speak about the decor, bar or anything inside but we had a wonderful meal! read more

The location is great, could be a great place, food is basic, not been a hit with the mixed drinks, so when we go we stick with beer. If I'm going to hang downtown, I'd just rather go to another little place around the corner. We tend to like places with a variety of wait and bar staff. read more

Just had a really disappointing visit today! One order completely wrong, another burnt, and the last over done. The service started off fine but ended with all glasses empty. Nice atmosphere, but if there was a few more people I think they would have a problem hearing each other. There is an outside option if noise is an issue. I would definitely go back.
