This is a solid 1 star review. The place was empty except for a table of two (should have been an obvious sighn). Server was nice but very timid. Was not impressed that I couldn't get what I wanted. I wanted the Mac & cheese balls - they were out and I got a explanation of how its a specific cheese thats used and is hard to find so they never have it to make them - ok take it off the menu if she never has it to serve. Disappointed. Next I wanted a cup of chicken gumbo. Server tells me "she hasn't told me if shes made it or not"...im sorry what? (As someone who served/bartended for 20 years, you always know what's available at the start of your shift). So now being very disappointed again, I settled with the Philly Cheese steak and fried pickles. My son ordered the wings and fried rice. My husband and daughter were going to split the seafood boil and we got her the chicken tenders with fries as a back up because shes been begging for a seafood boil and we wanted to treat her to one after her school musical. Let's cut to the food - mind you, nothing came out at the same time. It took far too long for the fried pickles to come out. They were VERY salty and extremely crunchy. (Over cooked). A good 15 minutes later came out the oysters for my husband. He liked them - nothing special. My sons rice was next, a good 20 minutes after the pickles. This was probably hands down the best thing they have on the menu! Then came his wings - he said they were good. They were definitely drowning in a hot sauce bath. Next thing to come out was my daughter's chicken strips with fries. She said it was ok. She only ate 1 chicken strip and a few fries. (She wanted the seafood boil!) Then came out the seafood boil. The #3 on the menu. Hubby pulled some crab out for our 8yo daughter to have the first bite. She chewed once and spot it out because her mouth was on fire. This led to tears of it being toooo spicy! Hubby took 2 bites and the same thing. He spit it out because it was too spicy. Extremely disappointed at this point. Then came my sandwich. Something simple, right? Nope, not for this place. Burnt bread - too hard to bite into. The sandwich was dry AF and the meat was over cooked. I had one bite and Hubby took one bite. We were not impressed by anything here. The server came to ask me about the food when I was going up to get our bill and pay. I told him it wasnt great and the seafood was too spicy. He stated he told the cook to not make it spicy since a kid would be eating it. I said "it was fu@!ing covered in seasoning". ((OH we were also sitting outside so the lighting wasnt tooo great)). So then, the cook/owner whatever lady asked me about it and I told her how it was. She said "I can rinse it off in the pot", I told her it was fine, we were done. She basically told me she didnt season it much and its how it is. Well, bish, yoir cooking is trash. And to top it, the other couple in there said and I quote "bro, can we get 2 waters? This is too spicy"....sooooooo shes over seasoning her chit, and over cooking easy stuff. My advice to the cook, maybe you should listen to the customers. We spent almost $130 on food plus $25 tip to the serve. He told me he couldn't do anything other than take the drinks off the bill. (Insert eye roll)... it wasnt about the money or getting anything for free. Its the cook/owner taking accountability and maybe just MAYBE apologize that you did in fact, over season the chit out of the food! Zero stars. Sadly I had to put one star to do this. Will not return or recommend to anyone. Good luck keeping that place open when you dont serve everything onto the menu, over season and have an empty restaurant at dinner time on top of having slow cook times. Got rice with chicken. Rice was undercooked a few minutes. Not enjoyable at all. I had added chicken but not much flavor and offset by hard rice. Nasty, threw most of it away. Wife got surf and turf. Two shrimps, middle of the road. Two onion rings, small and floppy. Burger was like a frozen party and only half seasoned. Overall, garbage foe the price. Came to this restaurant for my birthday today with my parents. My dad ordered the charbroiled oysters and onion rings. I ordered the fisherman's platter with onion rings, and Mom ordered the fried rice with all the meats. Dad's oysters and onion rings came out first after probably 20 minutes. He was satisfied with both. I'm thinking they probably cooked his as an appetizer, which is why it was brought out first. Prob 15 minutes later (Dad was already finished) mom's fried rice and my fisherman's platter arrived. Portion size was big on both. Mom's fried rice had chicken, shrimp and crawfish in it. She said some seasoning would have kicked it up a notch, but that it was fine. My fisherman's platter was a mixed bag. The fish, shrimp and onion rings were very good and I'd get them again. However, I wasn't a big fan of the crawfish tails, the fried oysters or the crab cake. Something tasted off with them, and I left them there. I deduct a point only because of the slow service. If and when I go back, I'd probably just get the fish and shrimp with onion rings. read more

Visiting family from Dallas, looking for wings after church, and find this spot on Yelp. The menu drew my interest and I'm highly satisfied! For the appetizer, we tried the Fried Pork Rinds, and - y'all - those things came out sounding like a tray of Pop Rocks lol for real! They were freshly fried and we asked for the Louisiana Hot Sauce which brought the salty needed. As we drive away now, those were the HIGHLIGHT of the whole order. I ordered the 6-pc Sweet Chili wings and a side of coleslaw. The wings were a good size, sauce aplenty with ranch x2 on the side... and the slaw was really my favorite - light sweetness and pepper on point. The waitress said the fries are frozen and I tasted a few on kid's meal and they are pre seasoned.. not bad. The onion rings were big, fresh, and breaded perfect. My brother had the #1 crawfish/shrimp/sausage with corn on the cob, again perfect.. Hot steamy fresh & spicy. Y'all definitely need a bib and a trip to the bathroom to wash your hands after that. This was by FAR the best crawfish I've had in town... maybe ever. They were cleaned properly, easy to peel, and seasoned insanely well. You can pick your safe flavor and mix them. I did Cajun and garlic. This place is killer. I'm pretty sure it's a woman owned business which is even mote of a reason why you should support them. But the service is slow and the place is always dirty. I don't think they even have a busboy. Definitely need more servers! If Denise is working , then you will get good service. This is one of the restaurants that I would like to give a four and a half because they're frog legs are definitely a five. They were big and juicy. My husband's Philly sandwiched really looked good but the crawfish balls were just average. I would definitely go back on any more road trips that we have. It's on my list of stops. read more

We found Buffalo Bell on Yelp while in Longview on business. Menu had a great variety that we both liked. I had fish and shrimp with fries. Everything was excellent including even the hush puppies. My wife had a loaded cheeseburger with onion rings. It was delicious also since I sampled it too. Since we'd found a gem, we came back the next day before we returned home for lunch. I had the grilled salmon and my wife had the crab cakes both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Servers were very pleasant both times. The second visit was a little slow due to a problem in the kitchen but we were kept informed. Prices were very reasonable and we will certainly eat there the next time and every time we eat in the area. Next time it's shrimp boil! read more

We went in looking for a burger but got distracted by the catfish and shrimp - which were exceptional. The onion rings melt in your mouth. Even the hush puppies are on par with my dad's, which I never jotted down a recipe for. Doh! This was one of the best meals out we've had in ages. We didn't know if this was just rated highly because the food scene in Longview is so dire, or because it was really great. I'm pleased to say it's the latter, Buffalo Bell was fantastic. The Jalapeño poppers were amazing, the right balance of cheese breading and pepper without that artificial "fresh from the bag" flavor so many places have. The onion rings lived up to the high quality the poppers showed off, and the crinkle cut fries were excellent. Which brings us to the burgers. Absolutely outstanding collection of flavors done perfectly. The menu is simple, but the results are exceptional. If you are craving a burger and are anywhere near Longview Texas, this is your place. I'll give it a 4 for now due to service and atmosphere. But if I were to rate the food that I tried today, the spicy burger and fries, the rating wouldn't budge from a 3. The fries tasted old- I didn't finish all of them. They had a tougher texture. The best way to describe them is dumping cold fries back in the fryer to reheat them, and maybe leaving them in the grease a second or two too long. The burger was season-less. It was a 4/10 at best. I ordered a side of Boom Boom sauce beforehand, and I had to use it plus the salt and pepper from the table to give the burger SOME kind of flavor. They do toast their buns, though. I would not reorder the burger or fries. I *may* try the crawfish fried rice hopefully here soon, but if that's no good, it will probably be my last time here. read more

We ordered a 2 pounds of boiled shrimp we tried the garlic and the Cajun a pound each it comes with potatoes and you can add sausage. We also got 3 pounds of crawfish. Unless it's always hot, the air conditioner was not functioning when we were here. I get that things happen, but maybe have a sign on the door to warn patrons. The heat was almost as bad as the general atmosphere. Our waitress seemed relatively new and was for sure doing her best, but the lady on the register was visibly/verbally stressed and low on patience. They were out of onion rings and sprite, luckily we didn't want either. It was very apparent that to-go orders took precedence over dine-in. This place is interesting........ We had a good lunch. We had a friend eat with us, Keith. This place came to our attention separately as we made that corner different days and noticed this newer building.......such a contrast to all the not new buildings around it. Interesting this new building is between one of the many promising liquor stores in that bend and the also not new looking "Jaguar Club." This piques our interest so we have to go in.... It is nice inside, new, and maybe the best way to describe it is as "eclectic." This means there are several TV's mounted and all turned to sports around the periphery as well as a hanging set of antlers as a chandelier. There is a big picture by the door of a buffalo head with a bell hanging from the neck.....hence the name we suppose. There is a large set of longhorn horns mounted above the kitchen. There is also a huge picture on the north side of a city from Thailand or something as well as little oriental mementos scattered and in windowsills like chickens and temples and such.... It is a conversation inspiring area but it works. Now, the food was just as interesting.....we liked most of it. We started with Fried Pickles because we always start with fried pickles. These were the chip type. They were okay for us. Served with ranch too. Next came out Gumbo. "J" got Chicken & Sausage Gumbo and and I got the Seafood Gumbo. It came with rice and crackers. It had a good dark reux but lacked enough flavor but was still good. The sticky rice was very good when added to the Gumbo and made it better. I would get the Gumbo and rice again. Keith got the Fried Catfish & Shrimp with fries and said it was good and there was a lot so he took some home. "J" got the buffalo meat burger with the boom boom sauce and a sour dough bun and it was quite tasty......another item we would get again. I got the Crawfish Fried Rice and it was good. Overall good food. The service was very friendly. They have Diet Coke and not Diet Dr Pepper. It was a fun lunch. ......that Jaguar Club looks real bad and run down. I stopped in to meet a couple of colleagues from work. The place was generic and plain, but very clean and orderly. I tried the chicken & shrimp fried rice just to knock of the late evening hunger pangs. The cook was Cambodian, and put a slightly different flare on what turned out to be some of the best fried rice I've had in my life. What a discovery! We had the fish and shrimp and it was the best ever! The shrimp were huge and the breading perfect. The catfish breaded and fried perfectly. The hush puppies were delicious and the onion rings I ordered as my side were as good as I've ever had. Homemade onion rings! Not the frozen kind most restaurants serve nowadays!
