They call your name and bring the food to the table. I had a two meat platter with turkey and brisket. The turkey was tender and just slightly smoky. The brisket was excellent. I forgot to ask for lean like I usually do but the brisket was not overly fatty. The meat was very smoky, very tender, and very flavorful. The portion was generous for $18. I would guess half a pound of each meat (?) The sauce on the table is a bit sweet and tangy. The BBQ beans were excellent. The potato salad was good but needed salt. We all enjoyed our meal. Even the kid, who is super picky, ate a bunch of brisket. It was a good choice and I definitely would eat here again if we came to Jefferson City.

The steak came out and it was undercooked, and they only brought 2/3 of the order. We shared the steak, mushrooms and bread, and became awfully sick an hour later. Are the internet stories true about food tampering when the kitchen is pissed at you? Was is more widespread like hygiene or food quality? Who knows, but we won't be eating here any longer. I stoped at the restroom before our 45 minute drive home and by the looks of that restroom it could have easily been a hygiene issue. We were glad they hadn't already sold out. But it was quite the foodventure. Based on the aforementioned Facebook post, I ordered the Mr Big loaded baked potato. It has ham and brisket, cheese, sour cream, and bbq sauce. It came in an open faced to go container because there was no way it was closing. I had to dig down through several inches of meat just to reach the actual potato. I had to give some to my husband just to be able to close it to take home. Then I had to ask for a piece of tape. Well worth the price. My husband got the strawberry lemonade. Too sweet for me. He liked it. But it is served in a large mason jar which you get to keep. It had real strawberries in it. She even came and refilled it when it was about half gone. He got the mix plate. You can choose one or two or three meats. He got brisket and hot links. Large portions of meat. You don't get to choose the sides. You get potato salad and baked beans. He was very pleased with the amount of food. If you come expecting too much as far as atmosphere you might be disappointed.
