This is my last visit to this location. Food cold. No croissants offered. When we asked for the croissants and they were brought -one of them was burned. Why would you serve this to a customer? Server brought the ticket and disappeared. We went to the bar to pay our bill and left no tip for the server. Horrible service. The previous visit was on New Years Eve. I used to love Cheddar's years ago, but either the quality has dropped or I've outgrown this place. I barely tasted the honey butter on the croissants. This is something I've noticed at other locations as well. There were only two in our party and we were placed in the bar area. The vibe seemed off, so maybe that took away from the experience as well. The frozen Margarita was huge for the price so I should have known it wouldn't have tasted like much. I had a Caesar salad and the monte cristo. There was way too much meat in it, so I couldn't taste the cheese or the battered crust on the outside. The accompanying jam was super sweet and overpowered the entire dish. Even though nothing was fantastic about our meal, I like the fact that two people can eat for less than $25 here lol. read more

Yummy! Just arrived in Longview and decided to go next door to Cheddars for dinner. I've never heard of this place. Started with an adult beverage and some potato soup. Oh my goodness! Probably the best potato soup I've had and they come with these little fresh baked croissants! So delicious! Nice homemade touch. I also got some chicken tenders and broccoli Togo. It came with 4 large juicy, crispy, and yummy tenders. I asked for ranch and honey mustard. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. Service was prompt and friendly too. Yummmmmmmers. This is a busy spot and rightfully so! This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Hot buttery croissant rolls, overstuffed baked potatoes and perfectly grilled ribs is just a snippet of what we enjoyed across our table. We had quite a few severs assist us. So, all of our needs were met quickly and efficiently. My son (who usually turns away bread) ate all 3 of the rolls. He enjoyed them so much we ordered a few more. The first set was complimentary. Any additional rolls are just $2 for 2. From watching my son eat, it was worth it. The atmosphere was nice. Not too loud and not too quiet. A perfect balance. I recommend not sitting at the bar. We often sit at the bar for faster service. They were understaffed today. Apparently, they have a policy that the bartender should mix drinks the wait staff turns in before waiting on people sitting at the bar. It was over 15 minutes before we got menus and another 15 minutes before she could take our order. I was surprised at how many people were having martinis at lunch. The food was fine. They gave us a free sweet role which was delicious. The bartender was working hard. I just recommend not eating in the bar area if you're in a hurry. read more

This was not our first visit so we had an idea of what we wanted to order - our food arrived at our table in a timely manner - the meal was excellent and seasoned perfectly! The food here was delicious. We ordered the chips and cheese appetizer. The cheese dip was great and the chips were homemade. We order the salad which was just about the best side salad I've ever had. The crescent rolls are to die for. I had the chicken fried steak which was cooked perfectly and enough food for two meals. I am very picky yet I didn't even have to season it. The best part though was our server, April. She was welcoming and pleasant. She remembered all my extras and made sure we were happy at all times. Our server Quanlyn was wonderful. She was all smiles and took care of us! The manager came over to welcome us in for the first time and gave us cookies! Rachel was our server. We came in around 1130ish on a Monday. There weren't many people there initially, but they started coming in around 1215ish. For appetizer, we had spinach dip. It was good. I had lemon pepper chicken, broccoli casserole, and macaroni. The other person I was with had the catfish dinner. The mac n cheese was bland and I'll never order that there again. Everything else was delicious. The Catfish tastes like Cod, though. I don't think he'll order that there again. Service was ok. They need more servers to accommodate the lunch crowd, however. It took her about 10 min or so to get back to us to ask about our food, drinks etc (I was trying to trade the macaroni). The appetizer plates sat there for a while before she bussed the table as well. All that ties back into lack of servers. read more

Great Chicken Pot Pie and Chicken Fried Steak and average Pasta and Sheppard's Pie. We tried chips & Queso and it was okay too. The place always seems to be packed. By far the worst experience at a Cheddars ever. The bathroom is similar to something you'd find on Hollywood and Vine. I'm really surprised that there's nobody turning tricks inside the filthy bathroom where there is poop splattered and clogged toilets. The food came out after 38 minutes and get this the salad came out after the hot food, that must be a really complicated process for folks. The manager knew the issue and the bartender/server informed us the manager wasn't doing her job either. She seated us immediately and shortly after, our server brought the absolute best hot croissants with butter and honey. I could live on them! We ordered the peach tea and it was delicious. We've had some at other restaurants where you had to imagine the taste of peaches. My husband noticed the Monte Cristo on the menu. I didn't want to get my hopes up as another restaurant also has one and it was terrible! I haven't had a decent Monte Cristo since before Bennigan's closed down. This is a very poor Cheddars. Very few customers should be a clue. My wife got the veg plate, the order was incorrect, broccoli instead of mashed potatoes (why would the cook think a person would want broccoli and cheese and an order of broccoli? The carrots were cold and hard. The waitress left the food and rushed away before we noticed the order was wrong and didn't return until I had finished my sandwich. Took forever to get the correct order. The croissant came at the end of the meal and was not thoroughly cooked. Manager stopped by and asked about our lunch. We told him the problems, he said sorry, but didn't seem too concerned. I thought he would reduce the check amount, but that didn't happen. As a matter of fact he ignored us as we were leaving.
