Longview is the world capital of chain restaurants, but that's not always a bad thing. I came here while in town for a funeral because I knew I could count on a really good fish sandwich ... except corporate decided to remove it from the menu. Oh well. The atmosphere here is quasi-dark, in a Texas Roadhouse/Red Lobster sort of way, and the seating is comfy. Bathrooms are also clean. Service here on my handful of visits has been spectacular. All of that speaks to excellent management at this location. Though I think that pickles should be served cold and from a jar, the other people in my party insisted on the fried version here. They loved them. The fried mozzarella ('crooked fried cheese') was average. While there was nothing wrong with it, there was also nothing spectacular about it. The fish and chips, on the other hand, were pretty damn good -- crispy and hot with a nice thick fillet. If only they could've served it between two slices of toasted bread. Anyway, the fries were also nice and crispy, and the slaw was crunchy, cool and creamy. Someone else in my party ordered the mushroom burger, and they were quite pleased. Honestly, it looked divine. The draft beer menu here consists of major brews with nary an IPA, though there are some macro bottled selections. Still, everything was served quickly and cold. It's rare that I eat at chains, unless I'm on the road and need to swing through a drive-thru. This place, however, does a very good job. read more

We have been coming here for years, my favorite thing is their pizza with ranch and I normally get a side salad too, well today I get my side salad and the ranch is your regular generic grocery store ranch and not the homemade ranch I've had for the last 5 years we've been going there and when I ask when they changed the ranch because it's not homemade anymore, the waitress actually had the nerve to tell me oh that's still homemade and then she said something to another waitress who said oh yeah I've noticed it's different lately and way way thicker! I told her it was gross and she then wanted to know if I needed a lid to take it with me! The pizza was actually very delicious as always but having a part of the menu changed without informing guests ruined the whole lunch for my son and I as that's what we looked forward to is the delicious ranch and pizza we love! read more

The service was really good. Despite a full parking lot we were seated right away. It took us awhile to make up our minds for dinner. Lots to choose from and everything on the menu looked really good. We got their version of cheese sticks. I was not a fan of them. The breading seemed powdery. My 9 year old said she was ready to order well before the rest of us were ready. The waitress was so nice to take her order first and then came back to get ours. We had a variety of food: burgers, chicken strips, hot wings, and grilled chicken. EVERYTHING was delicious. I wish we would have coordinated our sides be cause we basically ordered fries, tots and mash potatoes. But like I said, it was DELICIOUS!! I don't know why I don't come here often. HOLY CRAP THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! Every other restaurant should take some notes on how Bubba's 33 runs their business. The most efficient, friendly, AND delicious restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of dining in. This place was pretty packed (afternoon Sunday crowd) and we still got seated right away, then our waitress, Lauren, introduced herself and took our drink orders right away. A manager also later introduced himself and to let us know if we needed anything (but we didn't because Lauren was taking GREAT care of us), we ordered appetizers and then our main course and both came out fairly quickly. They also have staff that comes and clean the tables quickly to allow the next people to come sit, and other staff who helped bring drinks and/or food to everyone so it wasn't just sitting there when the waitresses are busy attending to all their tables. They all seemed to work well together striving for the same goal, exceptional service. BEST SERVICE EVER. Now the food.... SO GOOD. I ordered the fried fish sandwich and the first bite had me sink back in my seat to just enjoy it. Their tartar sauce is amazing, and just a well put together sandwich in general . My husband ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and he was highly impressed with not only the taste but the size of the chicken; they don't skip out on quantity here and it shows ! The fries were also the best I've had in a hot minute. Overall, shoutout to the managers and team members who show up to work everyday and make this place run like a well oiled machine . Everyone from the busers to the cooks, from the hostesses to waiters and the managers , exceptional job. I live out in Shreveport, LA and will be making the 45min drive to come out here more often just to eat here! read more

The food was AMAZING! Our ticket was only 50 ish bucks thats a STEAL for todays economy Service was great and our server was very attentive and kind. He had great knowledge of the menu and we got our food quickly. The drinks were really good too i got the sangria marg and he got the exotic marg. I had a veggie burger with a sub of mushrooms and it was DELICIOUS! The veggie patty was HUGE, fresh and full of flavor. My partner had the border burger and he ate every last bite. Huge portions and scrumptious food! There is a full bar, too. I tried the Spicy Margarita with jalapeños in it. If you like hot pepper jelly you'll enjoy this type cocktail (but the peppers will revisit you later!) The fish 'n chips were delicious. We have been to Bubba's 33 several times now and have NEVER had a bad meal or a bad waiter experience...until this last time. The food was still great as usual, but the waiter...not so much. I don't blame the waiter though as he was only 18 yrs old. I think he was released to wait tables on his own a little too early. When he first approached our table, he seemed a bit arrogant and overly self assured. He was unfamiliar with the food and drink menus. He used terrible language dropping F bombs often. When our appetizer came out, it was not exactly what we ordered and when we told him it wasn't right, his words were "Oh shit, I'm sorry"...yet, he didn't offer to make it right. We didn't complain because he was a likable young man, just wasn't very professional. read more

Absolutely love Bubba's 33! The menu ranges from your "typical" sports bar fair (burgers, wings, pizza etc) to stuff like lasagna, fried fish, steak, and much more! Also they have some of the BEST appetizers. The staff is always on top of things and we have never had any issues or delays with our order. Sometimes there is a wait especially if you have a larger party because they show college football games and they can get pretty packed. But overall I think they are reasonably priced and have an amazing selection of food. read more

My wife and I walked in the door and there were 3 servers standing at the hostess stand. We were told that there were no servers available and we were welcome to set at the bar and order food. The restaurant wasn't busy and there were empty tables. We don't drink alcohol and didn't want to sit at the bar. We asked why they didn't have servers and were told we could order food at the bar. Not friendly and not inviting. Will not be back. If you have time for three people to stand around the hostess stand you have time to wait on customers! read more

Overall this is a great place to stop in especially on Sunday's during football season. I read that the pizza was good here so I took the bait. I can't say I'm disappointed in the pizza and it's not the worse I have ever had. Being from where the worlds best pizza is I'm trying to be fair. After all this is Texas. Food was great! Service not so great. Our server took our order and delivered our drinks. Our food was delivered by another server. I had pizza and my wife had fish and chips. The supervisor on duty stopped by our table and asked how things were going. I told him that our food had been delivered by another server and we had not seen our server in quite a while and that I did not get a plate, pepper or parmesan for my pizza. The supervisor retrieved the items and brought them to our table. Later on, I needed a refill for my drink. Still no sign of our server. My wife saw him from across the room and waived at him to come over. He came over and asked what we wanted. After I told him, he got me the refill. I believe that a great server anticipates your needs without my having to ask for anything. This is very unusual for Bubba's 33 to have a server that is this unattentive. I am used to better service than this from Bubba's 33. They are usually "Johnny on the spot" and very attentive. read more

Stopped by a couple times since we are new'ish to the area and this spot had made it on our list to try out. Just the Misses and I for Friday night date nights. We like the bar area high tops. Service usually is faster and so are the refills. Food has been consistent and can't complain there. Regularly busy so some wait times but not too bad. Need a bit quicker service on keeping me topped off, but will make sure to request that next time. First visit had 3 managers swinging by to check on everyone and how the food and service was. I've been here a few times since my initial review. I've had some really great experiences, and some things that could've been improved. You guys have a very good chicken fried chicken, with garlic mashed potatoes. I'd wager that it might be the best in the area, and one of the best I've ever had. The fish and chips is also good. I came in hungry for that with a Sprite recently, and y'all didn't disappoint. I do have some recommendations that I think would help your dishes get better. For instance, cook your onion rings a little longer. When we tried them, I thought the batter on them could've been crispier. The batter on the onions is so thin that it just disintegrates, almost in a soggy manner, when you take a bite of it. Next one is a bit of a personal preference, but I'd understand why you may make these choices, so take it with a grain of salt. On the Black and Bleu Burger, try opting for bleu cheese crumbles instead of dressing, and make sure that bacon is crispy. That would skyrocket the texture of the burger in my opinion. I understand that some people may prefer the bacon softer, because of chewing reasons, but a lot more people agree that bacon is at it's best when crispy. All in all, keep up the good work! Upon recommendation, we stopped in to have lunch at Bubba's 33. Was greeted with a very friendly staff. The atmosphere is very causal and filled with music from the early 80's to the early 2000's. We ordered sweet tea and fried pickles to start. I am a fried pickle connoisseur and was not disappointed. Large pickle chips, lightly breaded and served with ranch and Bubba's house-made fry sauce. Next, we enjoyed Blacken Blue bacon cheese burger, regulars cheese burger, kids cheese pizza, and grilled salmon salad. All wonderful entrees. The burgers were wonderfully flavored and very juicy. One of the best flavored homemade patties we have tasted. The fries were your basic fries. The fry sauce is a very good dipping sauce. The grilled salmon was juicy and added a wonderful addition to the kale, arugula, and quinoa salad. With sweet vinaigrette dressing. Next time I will make sure to ask for the dressing on the side, for me, there was to much. The kids pizza was made on a thick crust with plenty of cheese... appealing to most kiddos.
