Cute little unexpected spot inside a gas station. The fried green tomatoes were spot on and the dining area was clean. I was kind of disappointed with my lunch. I ordered the nanny club with onion rings, but what I got was a small grilled cheese sandwich with a thin slice of ham and turkey lunchmeat and a slice of bacon. The onion rings were obviously frozen and greasy. Next time I come, if I do, I will get one of their salads or a hamburger which looked amazing. read more

Just a heads up it is inside the 7-Eleven. The atmosphere is a gas station with a few tables on the side for the diners. The people are really nice and do not rush which was awesome. The food however was nothing special the eggs were dry and the gravy for biscuits didn't really have any flavor. The potatoes had a tad too much pepper for my taste but for someone who really enjoys pepper they might love them. I don't really think it would be my first choice for a future breakfast place and I would try somewhere else. But, if You're just starving and They're one of the only places open they'll do. read more

We had lunch here while visiting Longview for work. For a place that has a four star review average, I certainly had much higher expectations. I had the caesar salad with chicken, while my husband had the chicken salad sandwich. Both things were underwhelming. My favorite thing was the little cornbread muffin that came with it, but the rest of the food was very forgettable. Also, I was slightly bothered by the plastic cutlery - I think I may have enjoyed my meal more with real silverware. It is pretty much a self-serve place, but the ladies at the register were friendly, so they deserve a mention. Needless to say, I will not be back. read more

I've been here twice in the last two years. It's not great, but it's not bad. I tried the rubenette and chicken salad sandwich today. It was certainly fresh. The Ruben had coleslaw on it, which was not a good combo. The pickle "spears" with the sandwiches were sweet slices of pickle. Chicken salad was very mushy and tasted bland. Probably won't be returning with the other sandwich options in town. read more

Nanny Goats Cafe & Feed Bin - Rubenette Panini and a Chicken Salad Sandwich - Cafes Near Me - Longview, Texas

Best muffins I've ever had! I loved the whole experience! Great atmosphere. Great premade meal options!

Without Yelp, we wouldn't have known there was a restaurant inside this gas station convenience store. It's a cute place, clean and we had great service. All three of us enjoyed the food. Two of took home leftovers only to be extremely disappointed when we got home to find they got left on top the car so probably made some birds happy! What a bummer- so that is how you know we enjoyed our food! read more

Nanny Goats Cafe & Feed Bin - Adult grilled cheese, chips & pickles - Cafes Near Me - Longview, Texas

This place was such a surprise and delicious. I had the Chicken Poblano soup and half sandwich. I will definitely be back to eat here and would consider bringing a cooler to bring back to DFW. I highly recommend it. read more

Inside a 7/11, so don't drive off, you'll miss some great food. Great lunch stop for us on our way to Dallas. A little far off the highway, but well worth the time. read more

Decided to give Nanny Goats a try and was not disappointed with the Billy Goat Burger. Great tasting meat & the jalapeño cheddar bun along with the chipotle ranch brought it all together!! A second thumbs up from my wife on the turkey-Swiss sandwich & pasta salad side. Excellent service from the ladies behind the counter. read more

Good chicken salad but the sandwich was dry .... Not a lot of lettuce no other veggies on it. The bread was terrible... they need to make fresh bread and add more condiments to the sandwich. The chips were too seasoned too... over all it was only the chicken salad that was good not the sandwich as a whole read more

The food is ok/good but it is not very clean. =P Parking is rough to find around noon.

Very expensive and sad sandwiches. Went to late lunch on 12/30/25 just before closing around 3pm. Grilled cheese and a burger. Grilled cheese had hardly any cheese and was barely cooked. They didn't even bother to melt the cheese on the burger. It was actually brought out cold. I know they were probably about to close up. But $34 including tip for something worse than what my college roommate would have made? And my college roommate thought cooking was microwaving water...... If you want to close up early, then do so. Otherwise, you are still obligated to try for excellent service. Right? read more

What a fun stop on our way back to Ft. Worth from Shreveport! I was craving a good salad and they delivered. The rest of the family had sandwiches that were super good. Mom had a chicken wrap that was big and good with fresh veggies. Service? Excellent in my opinion. Super patient and friendly. I might also add they also have casseroles to go. We didn't get one, but I met someone there with a bag full who was delighted to have dinner taken care of. Yep, it's inside the 7-11 but don't let that keep you away. Worth the side trip. read more

Wasn't expecting such great service and absolutely amazing food and some the best homestyle taste ever

Drove 15 off the freeway for them to just apparently close whatever time the want. Everything said 4pm online and all their stuff in store but we were rudely told "we're closed" with zero explanation. Definitely wouldn't recommend! read more

When we drive through Longview we like to eat at Nanny Goats. The food is always good; the servers friendly; and it's worth going out of our way to stop there. read more

My impression of this place is it's a cool place to get some awesome sandwiches. Not your run of the mill sandwich. I was wrong. The food was a major disappointment. A plain sandwich on white bread. You can get better at subway. read more

Ordered the special. It was not remarkable, and the cost was high for how much you receive. I just don't think it's a good deal and it didn't taste amazing. it was just alright. read more

Worse chicken salad wrap I have eat and I thought counter help and staff was rude. A chicken salad should be shredded not chopped.

Food is top notch, pretty pricey for what you get though. Service is average. Ambiance is typical cafe' and country cute. read more

Good food and kind service. We wanted to get lunch to go along with our breakfast, and we were a little early, but the servers talked the kitchen into making our sandwiches -- so nice of them!! They were out of some things. The size of meals is uneven -- pancakes were so massive I don't know who could eat the whole order, while my avocado toast was good but pretty small (luckily, I filled up with some of my dining companion's pancakes!). read more

Spending a long weekend in Longview, Tx and we wanted to try something different for breakfast. A cafe at a gas station fit the bill so we went in. The menu is written up on the wall above the counter where you order and there are quite a few options. Unfortunately, they stop serving breakfast at 10:30 on Saturday and it was about 10:40. So, lunch it was! Our group ordered the chicken sandwich - a thick chicken breast, lettuce and tomato on a square, yummy bun served with fries, an Italian press sandwich on focaccia with chips and the turkey and Swiss on wheat with chips. They all came with mini banana nut muffins and pickles. Now, I don't usually eat the pickles that are served with sandwiches, but these had a very good and unusual flavor. They were somewhere between dill and sweet. Loved them. All the sandwiches were served in pie tins. What a great idea! They have a large seating area and a big selection of drinks. This place was definitely not what I would have expected looking at it from the outside, but because yelpers seemed to like it, we gave it a try. Glad we did. read more

I go for the poblano chicken soup. So much more is yummy, too, but it is the soup that draws me back. Great lunch spot. read more

Nanny Goats has some of the BEST pimento cheese that I've ever had (probably 2nd best behind my grandma/mom's pimento cheese) and I love it on their thick long wheat melba toast/crackers!! I also LOVE the spicy mexican tuna, sausage balls,King ranch chicken, chicken spaghetti...I could go on & on listing the items I love from Nanny Goats!!! read more

Food was great - we will go back when in town. Fast service to with TO GO options available.

Best surprise I have had in a long time. Don't dismiss this place. GREAT FOOD, GREAT PROPLE.

The food was delish. The service was fast and friendly. You'd never know you were sitting in a gas station. They have to-go food too which is great!! read more

Love this place! It's a perfect stop off if I-20 between Dallas and Shreveport. Don't be deceived by the fact they share a space with a 7-11. I'd go for the orange muffins alone. They are SO yummy. We've only visited for breakfast and the food had always been super. (They have a very wide variety of deli options as well.) The breakfast sandwiches are huge, and full of fresh flavor. I had avocado on mine, and it was perfectly ripe. And I liked how the toast wasn't drowning in butter. They have a nice seating section, and I'm sure would be great for families. The service was very professional and we were greeted as soon as we arrived. They also (genuinely) thanked us for visiting when we left. Very hospitable! read more

Don't be distracted from this "gas station" stop for breakfast or lunch! They have an immaculate interior restaurant. They serve fresh foods made on site. There's only a few places in town restaurant wise that I walk in and feel judged by every other customer there and like I'm an inconvenience to the employees. This is one of them. I don't particularly care for their food, everything I've tried is average at best (meatloaf was super dry) as well as other issues; burgers not cooked how I ordered them, missing things, etc. Maybe I'm not the type of person they're catering to, but that's ok I'll eat elsewhere. read more

Overhyped. Chicken salad wrap was simply bland. Too much meat. Occasionally, less is better. Took Chicken Alfredo casserole home, was quite dry, barely any taste. I could tell that it needed seasoning. Regardless. For the cost, it wasn't that great. read more

We were confused because we thought it was just a gas station but it is SO cute inside! Everything on the menu is excellent and it was brought out to us very quickly by the friendly staff.
