We have been to Cargo a few times. The food is good. Love listening to live music!! Kate, our server, is always awesome. We did recently go to hear live music and was moved inside due to weather. We joined some friends at their table which made 10 total. PSA, when you go to Cargo with a party of 10 or more they charge a 20% "autograt" which is for busboys and other staff. That gratuity does not include the server. This was verify by management. When paying out, it's on a small computer screen that shows subtotal and different options for tipping. They do not give an itemized ticket. We asked for a ticket to make sure we were charged for what we ordered. That's when we noticed the "autograt". They also will not give a receipt after payment. We asked for one and was told but management they can't give us one. So depending on your server tip add the extra 20% for the "autograt". If you tip the server 20% your tip for the whole ticket is 40%. read more

I went to Cargo because it was a nice day and I wanted a meal outside with my family, where the kids could have stuff to do. When we arrived we walked through the gate to no idea what to do. No idea if we were to seat ourselves and no host station to provide guidance on the matter. As I stood there lost, I noticed QR codes placed on the end of the tables and noticed someone else walk straight in and to a table. Assuming that I was to seat myself, I continued on to the table, sat down, and scanned the code. Once in the menu, I ordered the food and drinks we wanted and began the long wait. During this wait I was looking around periodically trying to see if maybe we had done this wrong, but no servers were coming to the surrounding tables that had people seated. Immediately I believed this must be a place you order, they bring it, and then you order again if you need more (more hands off). As my kid ran off to play in the kids area, someone finally passed by (35 minutes in) and asked if we had been helped. I explained we had utilized the QR code to order and was informed it was no longer in use, due to orders being submitted incomplete. The server checked the system, verified the order (which was missing items), and eventually said he would get it in for us. After about another 15 minutes we finally had our drinks (mostly). One of the drinks required some mixing, but we got the first half, followed by the second half a while later. Now that I can add bartender at Cargo to my résumé, I went back to waiting on the food and watching the large screen on the stage. After about an hour of being seated, our food arrived (prior to the appetizer) and was pretty cold. The fries were cold on the outside but more so on the inside. The macaroni and cheese was cold to the touch, and even the pizza was cold. It seemed as though the food maybe was sat in the same area code as a heat lamp, but not directly under it. I informed the server (different from the one that initially arrived before disappearing like a cheap Houdini act) that our appetizer was missing. She politely apologized and retrieved a cold appetizer from the kitchen, explaining it was set aside for another table (kind of understandable). This likely could have been addressed if there was continuity with the server, but I suppose he had traveled to tend the tables he has in one of the other Cargo multi-verses. I explained that we did not have a silverware or napkins (somewhat necessary for macaroni and cheese) she said she would get us some. Much like the embassy in Benghazi when under attack, we were left without assistance so we had to take action ourself. I walked to the building, found someone that resembled what I believed to be the Captain of the restaurant version of the Edmond Fitzgerald, and explained I needed to-go boxes and wanted to pay for the worst dining experience I've had since deploying to Afghanistan. The manager was actually very polite and was helpful and apologetic about the experience. He tried to comp the meal, but I explained that I just wanted to take it home and heat it up so I could eat. We eventually paid and experienced the best part of the restaurant...leaving. It should be noted that there were other patrons present, but it was only maybe at about 50% full. I Will say that upon meeting our server, he explained that he was blessed, which makes me happy to know someone was. Overall, unless I have a hankering for mediocrity in service and cold food, I do not believe l'll be returning. If I want to pay money to have cold food and let the kids play, I'll just go experience the torture that is chuck-e-cheese. read more

Ok it's been a while since this place has opened and by past reviews I wasn't going to go until a reasonable amount of time. I thought today would be the day to try brunch. One word: YUCK!! I believe three people ate all their food with complaints though. Chicken and waffles. Chicken over cooked and dry. Waffle was good. No butter. Kids cheese pizza was good, French fries were hot at least but too salty. Cargo breakfast was eaten but they were not impressed, for the price nothing stood out. Food lukewarm. Avocado toast, biggest yuck! Toast was soggy and wet, avocado was a spread to was mushy. Tomatoes and balsamic were the only thing tasty. Sunny side up eggs were COLD! Pancakes were all cold and no taste, breakfast potatoes had no flavor. They replaced the pancakes but still no flavor except flour. Server was good but we kept having to ask for the little things. Butter, jelly, cream. You would think that the butter and jelly would have some class, you know brought out nice and soft maybe in a little ramekin. But we were handed individual pats of butter and jelly. $92 later and we all came back hungry and disappointed. Server said the menu on line is wrong and the brunch menu is limited. I may just give this place one more time for lunch or dinner but brunch is a major no! This place really needs to step up to their prices and the manager should be walking around talking to people. Beef Brisket Tacos were very good Waitress was new and didn't inform me that if you get flour it's only two tacos instead of three. Ok sure but manager on shift became very rude when I had asked about it. Then I ordered Kids chicken tenders for $8 for frozen grocery store tenders with broccoli that was still raw my kid loves broccoli he went and put it in trash. Lighting in the room was to dark couldn't read menu. No changing tables had to use my jacket to change my son. read more

Very nice cool atmosphere. I would say a nice social setting for friends/family. Not busy at the moment. I ordered the mango beer (great) chicken fried chicken with Mac and cheese and side salad and spouse ordered shipwreck drink (great), queso catfish with garlic mashed potatoes and fiesta corn. The food was ok an average rating. Best part was the atmosphere and amenities. We didn't do anything else but we saw families playing putt putt and ones playing pickle ball. Nice bar area on first floor for socializing with friends. read more

Went for lunch this afternoon, had the taco salad. Food was amazing and service was wonderful. Very cool spot. We sat on the patio, and the kiddos got to jump in the 12 and under area. The upstairs was closed but we got to go up and check it out. Definitely will be back when I'm in town! Very much enjoyed our visit. read more

I was at Cargo Tx today. It was great! The atmospheric, service and food was great. Fendy waited on us and she was great. Im so excited to go back. I highly recommend this place. +it has pickle ball courts, entertainment and a golfing course. So much fun! Very family oriented. read more

The worst mini golf course ever, the person at the front tried to make us tip 20% for giving us golf balls. There was a 5 foot deep hole behind hole 7 and litter in the pond and course. The place couldn't look worse. I expected nothing and got worse. -20/10 read more

My family tried Cargo in Longview today... We went in with an open mind despite the previous reviews. We got there at 12:30 on Sunday, the parking lot was about 1/3 full. We had multiple long waits: for the waiter to greet us, for our drinks, the awning wouldn't work, etc. It was 1:50 and we hadn't received our food yet. We got up and left. Honestly, when Cargo first opened, I assumed the reviews were just being harsh and not giving them time to get adjusted. It has been over a month since they "redid" things and "retrained" their employees. After reading the experiences from the old reviews compared to now, I'm not sure they actually did anything. The place is huge, and there are so many tables; the inside wasn't full, the decks weren't full, and there were a few people outside at the bottom. Our waiter claimed there was a party of 50 up at the very top of the building which is "why things were so slow"... now imagine the place ACTUALLY being packed. You MAY get your food in 3-5 business days. All the employees seem to be on the younger side, and boy were they rude/poor customer service. Our waiter was nearly whispering to us, the employees were rude, and they seemed to not have half a clue what was going on. Side note... the water in the pond was also really disgusting. If this place does not step it up, the same thing will happen to them that happened to Copeland's and every other restaurant that has opened and immediately closed in Longview. Don't get me wrong... it's a good concept. The place is cool. However, abandoned shipping containers in the middle of our town wouldn't be a nice view. The Bar Manager Eric Davidson was excellent, checking on us and our experience at Cargo. He went the extra mile for me when I needed assistance getting to my car. I commend your staff!!!
