"Under New Management" made me skeptical walking in. I ordered my usual omelette with crispy hash browns and a biscuit. The omelette was fine but don't order crispy hash browns because they come out over done. One bite of the biscuit was all I needed too. Way more oily than before. Service was great except my server smelled like cigarette smoke. Same atmosphere and decor even though they said it was remodeled. I will be looking for a new breakfast spot. read more

Oh man, this place was exactly what we needed. The servers were absolutely delightful! I got the cinnamon roll pancakes and must say that's the only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5. I peeled off the top layer and just ate the bottom two, their glaze wasn't very sweet and it was just not the best. But, I can definitely say their regular buttermilk pancakes were the bomb! I also had bacon and my friend had an omelet. She said hers was fantastic. There was no wait, easy parking, and a super clean restaurant and bathroom. Win win!! read more

Jennifer was very nice when placing my to-go order. - The omelet itself was very moist ( I think it was butter), and was delicious with a great balance of all the ingredients (one ingredient didn't overtake the other). - The biscuits were very dry and slathered with butter. - Hash browns were very oily, too oily for my liking. - Fresh berries were surprisingly really great - fresh and naturally sweet. read more

Had breakfast here while visiting friends in Texas. Everything was so good and the service was great! We got in pretty late for breakfast and I was surprised we didn't have to wait to be seated. There was plenty of parking outside as well. The inside seemed clean and well kept. I believe this may be a new location as well. read more

We went for breakfast on a Saturday around 11:00 am. We were greeted by a very pleasant hostess and seated at a booth. We were immediately seen by Danielle, who took great care of us and was very attentive. Service was outstanding as was the food. Please note that the Belgian waffle does not come with fruit and whip cream as I am accustomed to seeing, but I just ordered fruit on the side when I saw that it did not include fruit. Everyone was very pleased with their entrees. Absolutely delicious food. read more

This new place just opened a few months ago in the neighborhood! We have been several times now and it's become a favorite. Today I got the biscuits and gravy - and OMG these biscuits taste like how my Italian grandma used to make them! Buttery and fluffy. The gravy is perfect consistency and just a little bit of meat mixed in. The hash browns are good too- though I need to remember to get them extra crispy next time. The hubby tried the Albanian Omelette special: the owners are Albanian and it featured their own sausage and he said it was incredibly flavorful. Our server was Albert and he was awesome!! I've been bad about posting our pics before, so I'm attaching our pics from the last 2 times we came. The Nutella French toast was a favorite for my daughter. read more

Super good breakfast at this little cafe. I took a friend in for day surgery this morning and had a couple of hours to kill, so decided to stop here for breakfast. I got a sausage skillet with an extra egg, and wanted bacon too. Lol. Those eggs were cooked perfectly, which is a gripe I have about most places. Egg white was done and the yolks were runny. The onions were cooked al dente so you got their flavor. Super friendly people. I'll definitely be back when I'm in this area. I'd like to add that of this date, 7/12/22, they are hiring. I'm truly dumbfounded as to why this place has a 4.5 rating. Hubs and I went in for a quick breakfast. I will say they do omelets right. That's where it ended. The grits were tasteless, the pancakes were hard and chewy. Some of the worst I've ever tried. Overall I think a 3 is very fair. I dropped a fork and when I went down to pick it up, the accumulation of filth along the floor to the mat under the table was gross. Two people for breakfast came to over $50. The food we had was good - eggs bacon toast not too difficult to mess up there. My husband had grits and they arrived cold ---twice and very watery. I would not recommend. Normally I have great service here. I recommend everyone to this establishment until today. The male host ignored my girlfriend for 15 minutes as her and her little cousin stood and waited. A waitress fortunately saw how long she was waiting and rushed to get them seated. I am unsure why she received different treatment because everytime I've been there we've had zero issues. I would love management to contact me asap about this matter. I come eat at this restaurant often and honestly probably will not anymore going forward. read more

Food is good Prices are ridiculously high 2 egg 4 bacon hash browns $15.99 That is the highest I have seen in the DFW area. Usually $12.99 which is silly. But $15.99 Good bye. Maybe less wait people standing around may reduce your overhead. read more

Came in yesterday and couldn't have been more disappointed. The staff was great, very friendly and welcoming. The food is the biggest issue. My husband ordered an egg and cheese omelette and there was no flavor and the cheese wasn't even melted. Will not be returning. read more

This is a great family restaurant and very kid friendly. They were extremely accommodating with my meal request. Very budget friendly and can share plates too Also SHAY was my server and shout out because she is so upbeat and friendly made you feel like family. Have eaten breakfast here several times and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Portions are good and staff is friendly and prompt. I rate breakfast on French toast (outstanding) and coffee (ditto). I love this place! This was my first time going I was so impressed with the customer service and warm smiles we received as we walked in. The service was really fast! Our food was out in no more than 10minutes. My son loved his Mickey Mouse pancakes he said it's the best he's had. My omelet was so good it was light and fluffy. My husband and I had a delicious breakfast here today. My husband said they have the best hash browns he's had in a long time and I agree! They were thin and crispy. I had the bacon avocado eggs Benedict served on an English muffin and it was so good. I always order the hollandaise on the side, but their sauce was so good I almost ate it all. It's only been open a couple of months, but I hope word spreads because the food is great and they have a large breakfast and lunch selection. As a restauranteur, I can be pretty critical of shortcomings at the restaurants I visit. However, I also can reap praise where deserved. I visited Texas Cafe today for the first time. I was greeted quickly and professionally and quickly seated in the spot of my choice. I ordered the veggie omelette, a side of berries, a hot tea and a biscuit. First the atmosphere of the restaurant: The restaurant was spic and span clean, tables were all cleaned and ready for the next guest. Although I'm not a big fan of the less is more spartan designs popular in today's cafes, this restaurant follows that design. Now on to the food: My breakfast was served as I requested at "jet speed"! The omelette featured fresh veggies and was cooked to perfection. At most places if you ask for fruit you get ton's of grapes, and mellons and perhaps a strawberry or a few blueberries (this is because these fruits are the least expensive). Here you can get your typical fruit assortment but, you can also choose a berry assortment. I chose the berries. The berries, which featured blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries were perfectly fresh. The omelette and berries were the highlight of my meal. The only shortcomings on the food side were the biscuits which, although nice and crispy, were so thin I couldn't slice them to add butter and honey (my favorite way to enjoy a biscuit), the tea (how a breakfast restaurant doesn't offer black breakfast tea is beyond me) and the sweeteners (no stevia available ). On to the service: Although the food was excellent, except for the few shortcomings I mentioned, the service was spot on excellent! The server was pleasant, attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and continually watched from afar to be ready if called. I noticed all the servers watched over their guests in the same manner. Once finished with my meal, she thanked me for visiting and hoped she'd see me soon again. Whoever trained and oversees this team should be commended. I know how hard it is to get and keep quality servers in today's challenging environment. If you're looking to enjoy a solid breakfast, and love being treated as you are a special guest, you'll enjoy this restaurant. read more

This place is doing things right. A bit of a hidden gem and off the beaten path, it's worth giving it a go. Good, strong coffee. Scrambled eggs are fluffy and light, as they should be. Tasty bacon and sausage patties. You can tell that they don't scrimp on the supplies. And the pancakes are tasty, light and fluffy. And to top it off the staff is happy, welcoming and helpful.
