This is a cool spot / sports bar, nestled in what seems like a residential area til you come upon a small strip mall area. I liked the vibe and the feeling there was homey. Service feels local and served with a smile, and there's a lot of nostalgia infused into the menu. Food was on the bland side though. My friend and I, both with roots in Hawaii, of course had to try the loco moco and found the meat patty and gravy could both use some more seasoning. We also tried the garlic chicken wings which came highly recommended, but I found that these were also bland and didn't have much salt or garlic flavor to them. They were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and large in size though. Miso soup was tasty but served so hot it burned my friends tongue, and on the flipside to bland, my tomato beef curry noodle dish was way too sweet, thick and saucy... Kind of like what you'd expect to accompany a sweet and sour pork dish. All that to say I'm sure they are still trying to figure out their recipes and demographic in these opening months and hope they can continue to grow and improve so the food can continue to help fuel the nostalgia of certain old restaurant favorites, the 808, Imperial lanes etc. read more

Not sure how they got such high reviews. Food quality was mediocre at best. Pancakes were dry, fried rice was too salty, mushy and looked like a brown mess. Super over priced for what you get. They forgot the hamburger patty for the locomoco (seriously how do you forget that)...that's like forgetting the noodles in ramen. Then for an order of pancakes and scrambled eggs they brought out the pancakes first then 6 minutes later they brought out the eggs. Top this off with the overall long wait and inattentive service gets 2 stars. Maybe it's ok if you have lots of time to kill and are willing to wait for overpriced average food. Or just don't order the fried rice, locomoco, pancakes and eggs. Plus it wasn't just our table that was waiting for quite some time...it wasn't even that busy. Also I overheard the table next to us and they got their order wrong too. read more

First of all I have terrible friends that have been here and never told me about this place... Shame on you share this with everyone please and thank you. Secondly this place is amazing I went here for the first time a few days ago and the food was amazing. A hidden Jem especially if you're from out of town. I got the loco Moco which let me tell you was the best I've had. The party was cooked perfectly and the 2 eggs on top with the the gravy just finished it off perfectly. I also got the tater tots with gravy on it. You can Literally get gravy on anything here wow amazing! My friend's got the short ribs which I tried and also loved. The Reuben sandwich we got was also very good as well as the Mac salad. For desert we got the banana cake with ice cream let me tell you it was a game changer. Highly recommend this place and they're open later than most places so nice spot to go if you find yourself craving some comfort food. They have a pretty good variety of different food choices so I'm sure there's something for everyone. I will definitely back in the very near future to try everything! read more

We were visiting from out of town and looking for some late-night noms after a pretty tiring day, and Terry's was open and nearby. What a pleasant surprise! My husband is still talking about the food. I'm from Hawai'i so my husband's katsu curry was definitely comforting and delicious! (Total order envy.) Terry's kitchen. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The place was packed at 9 pm on a Saturday night. Waited about 10 minutes for a table. Server joined us shortly and took a drink order. Came back within 5 minutes to take our order. She was friendly and made suggestions on the menu. The menu is quite small since it is a new restaurant and we were told they would be adding items in the future. I can't wait to try it again when the selection is bigger. We did enjoy the food, I had the Chicken Chow Mein and my husband had the Chicken Curry. Both were hot with good flavor. read more

I finally got my husband to try Terry's Kitchen for breakfast a few months ago. We were clearly seated before a couple and a child by the same on staff waitress. After time, she finally walked back from the back with 3 glasses of water. Dropped them off and the families table, started taking their order. We got up and left. We tried this place based on all the 5 star reviews. It has an interesting menu ranging from Loco Moco to Curry Chicken to chow meins. I guess they are going for the international flavor of comfort food. It is situated in a quite residential area and maybe all the neighbors would like to see this restaurant stay opens, hence all 5 stars reviews. If this is right in downtown Bellevue, the reviews maybe different since there are better choices around. Food are okay and nothing memorable. Waitress asked if we would like hot sauce and sure we replied. When it comes to paying for the bill, they charge 50 cents for the hot sauce. It's only 50 cents but I thought it was weird. If nothing else is opened and this is the only place, sure I would go again. However, I would not wait 30 minutes for this if there is a crowd. read more

Been a year since my last review, but had to put in my two bits worth again because the menu is happily always evolving. Adding more good onto an already tasty menu keeps us coming back for more. Not to mention the warmth and old school feel of this place. Terry's not only kicking out the best wings in town, but he's also the reason for this eatery's warm and inviting feeling. He is personable and connects with his patrons. Brought our out of town uncle from the Deep South. He professed to "know his wings." He was a believer in what we billed as the best wings around. It's always our staple whenever we go to Terry's. We've added T's Chinatown Garlic Spareribs to the regular mix. Sweet, chewy, meaty with just the right spice. Wanted to like this place since it's so close to our home, decided to try it and ordered take out. First of all, the waitress named Tsering did not seem familiar with the menu. I ordered the comfort gravy bowl and she seemed to have no idea what that was. I explained that I get a choice of meat, choice of gravy, choice of base. She didn't ask any of those questions regarding my specifications so I had to prompt her through the order. When I got there to pick up the food, I stood right in front of the hostess booth and Tsering helped two other parties who walked in after me- one with a table reservation and then another with a takeout order. I have never been so ignored at an establishment. I felt totally invisible and had to literally raise my hand to stop her from helping other people when I was clearly first and standing right in front of her! Overall, they need to train their staff better and work on customer service- work on assisting people in the order that they came. The gravy bowl was also very very salty. read more

Nope! I met a friend here for an early dinner. Neither of us had been here before and we were both up for trying something new. I asked our waiter for suggestions and I decided on the fish sandwich because he said it was good with confidence unlike some of the other items I asked about. It looked good, but that's it. It literally had NO FLAVOR. It was crispy but it didn't have any type of seasoning whatsoever. I figured maybe the coleslaw that was on it would help. The slaw was decent, but I ended up asking for salt and pepper. My friend ordered a steak and stated the same thing, no seasoning. Maybe the night we went, the real chef was out sick or something. Great neighborhood restaurant! So glad it's not another franchise chain. The foods are delicious with some Asian dishes. Comfort, generous, and family friendly. My teenage son had their burger and it was huge, perfectly cooked medium, super moist classic burger; and a cup of clam chowder which was standard. I had a side green salad which was good balance with the huge, warm, yummy chili loco moco bowl. Of course we had the wings...it was The BEST, crispy on the skin w/out any greasy feel! Will be back! Happy to see a great local homey restaurant! Service is nice, but could be a bit more attentive since I had to ask for a Togo box; then the bill didn't come and I had to ask for that too. read more
