Terry's Kitchen serves a mix of Hawaiian and Chinese-style comfort food--kind of hard to categorize, but it works. It's decent overall and very reasonably priced for the area. I personally like their loco moco, which is the standout for me. The fried rice and chow mein are pretty bland and not anything special, but the service is always very kind and welcoming, which goes a long way. It's not a must-have spot, but definitely good once in a while when you're looking for something casual and affordable.

This eastside neighborhood eatery has been rocking it and the atmosphere harkens to a scene from the sitcom Cheers! Both the bar and restaurant vibes are quaint and offers great food and drinks! We had the daily special which was a country fried steak, potatoes and an over easy egg. We also had the wasabi baked salmon and fish & chips (subbed in tater tots). For those in the know they've taken some old school South Seattle favs like Imperial Lanes Bowling Alley, South China Restaurant and other ID's favs and incorporated them into their delightful menu. Don't forget a lime freeze! The service is always nice and they're very attentive to all their customers.

Very good comfort food super close to where I live. I got the Chinatown garlic spareribs and the flavors were really spot on. I love how every entree came with mac salad.

I just love this place! My husband goes here every week for pool and he buys me food while he shoots pool. Our favorite is the garlic spareribs. We also love the katsudon, meatloaf, and country fried chicken. Oh and the caramel toffee cake is amazing! Terry is just nice and cool. The staff is amazing and friendly as well! The place itself is very chill. I don't mind hanging out here while my husband shoots pool since the people are cool, the food is amazing, and the spot is chill.

Walkable from my house, I brought my family for dinner. The menu, billed as "comfort food", delivers on that promise. Tater tots and crispy spare ribs warmed us up for tofu chow mein and chicken karaage. The meat dishes were the stars for me, as the spare ribs were tender but crispy at the same time, and the karaage was perfectly crispy and juicy. The portions are astounding, we took more home than we ate. Value was high. Service was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend Terry's to anyone looking for comfort in the bottom of a meat platter.

I've been here twice now and sad I didn't take a picture of my food before. So the first time I ever had Terry's kitchen was a few days after Saint Patty's day. And for some reason on their online menu, they still had corned beef and cabbage, and then when I got to the restaurant, they were like oh we are no longer serving that I'm so sorry which I was absolutely devastated because I love corned beef and cabbage and I hadn't had a chance to have any. So they had me wait a little bit and the chef managed to find a little bit of corned beef and make it for me. And the corned beef was phenomenal. The slices were cut really thick and it just melted in your mouth like butter. Everything else with the cabbage and then the carrots and the mashed potatoes were pretty basic and generally good but that corned beef was absolutely stunning. Service here can be interesting when it comes to waiters, like being ignored to over service. I came in and got a rare hamburger and added cheddar cheese and garlic tater tots which both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will keep coming here but I prefer to takeout vs dining in. It's lovely inside the place. But again you never know what you're going to get when it comes to your host/waiter

Local family favorite, especially if you're looking for an island plate lunch or dinner. I have dined in the main dining area and for an event in the event space.

One of my favorite things in Hawaii is there fried rice. So very thankful to have it even closer. Also, I recently went back to Hawaii and had what I thought was my favorite rice and now I realize Terry's kitchen hands-down kitchen sink will always now be my favorite. They also make amazing fish and chips, salmon, with wasabi sauce, and the crispy chicken with almond sauce. It's all delicious. Great people with friendly service and ambience is clean and nice.

Karaage is tender juicy, breading is light and crispy, good umami flavor. Kalbi steak bites have a nice firm initial bite and tender, cooked perfectly. Both were marinated really well. They both paired with sauce but honestly doesn't need it.

Da best!! Never tasted wings this good! Garlic chicken wings with a crispy taste like pork rinds. Trust me. Order these on your next visit.

Ask the Community - Terry's Kitchen

Is the pool hall open?

Yes!

Do they offer outdoor seating? Where are the tables?

Yes, they do. It is in the side parking lot to the right of the restaurant and is under tents.

Do they offer prime rib on Saturday dinner?

I haven't sent it on the menu.

Is this good for vegetarians? What options do they have?

Thank you for the question. Terry’s Kitchen has some non-meat items on our Dinner menu. The Chow Mein with Crimini Mushrooms option has developed quite a following. Also, the House, Caesar and Spinach Salads can be configured as such, and are… Read more

Golden Fleece has an Eastern European (Georgian) vibe, as evidenced by the menu and some staffing choices. I like that it's not all typical bar food here, Prices are fair, drinks are strong, and service is quick and friendly. I would love to see more Georgian food and drink on the menu, like dumplings, kubdari, kharcho, achma maybe, a real qababi to go with the plov... and how about a chacha- based cocktail? The tables and cues can be somewhat unkempt. We had to hunt considerably for straight cues with good tips, and brush our table free of debris. Tip: opt for a table further from the front entrance, for better equipment selection. This part of the experience needs improvement, but should be an easy fix. The music can be too loud and, frankly, too much of one genre. I feel they are trying to ride a line between nightclub and pool hall, to attract younger clientele. This may be tough on players that need relative quiet to concentrate. All and all, a fun time. I cannot say that it is a "clean" hall, either figuratively or literally, but I can say that at least at this point in time, it's still approachable to those just looking for a drink and a nibble while shooting a game or two with friends, with minimum drama. Give 'em a shot! ;)

Resonate's pizza is bar none the best I have ever had anywhere. And that includes Pagliacci, and…read moreNorthlake Tavern way back when it was great. In particular, the three amazing, high-quality cheeses they put on their pepperoni pizza is like a symphony in your mouth. I would just avoid adding their olives, which are green, not black, and possibly the saltiest thing I have ever had in my mouth. I doubt a teaspoon of salt would taste much saltier. After choking down one I did not eat any of the others. Why they don't offer high quality black olives, which do so much for pepperoni pizza IMO, is a head-scratcher for me. Though they brew their beer there, and they always have a stout or porter for me--I like to eat my beer with a knife and fork--I've never found it out of the ordinary. A can of Irish Death would be better. It's the pizza I go there for. But though it is my favorite place by far to have pizza, I have a bone to pick about one of the servers (most of their servers are fine): As a former fine dining restaurant server and shift manager, I'm familiar with the Washington state law that allows restaurant patrons to take partially consumed bottles of wine home with them in their cars if (a) it is resealed with its cork, and (b) they keep it in the trunk or other cargo area where humans don't normally sit. And don't touch it until they're parked at home. I'm a light drinker, and one time I only drank about half a bottle of beer. I think it might have been a large bottle, I'm not sure. Wondering if the rule I knew so well for wine might apply to beer bottles too, I asked the server if it was possible to take it home. I supposed that the main issue might be whether they had a way to seal it, since the cap was no longer good for that. He didn't know, and said he'd find out. When he returned, he said no, and acted like it was the dumbest question anyone in the universe had ever asked, or ever could ask. I had a flashback of Dixie's BBQ on Northup way by I-405 (long closed), where surly sarcasm from knuckle-dragging employees was basically a brand. Curious, today I asked Google for help. I learned that the reason it's possible with wine is because there is a special carve-out in Washington state law just for wine. The carve-out does not apply to any other type of alcohol. So it doesn't matter if you can find a way to reseal the beer bottle. Because the carve-out is only for wine, not beer. I doubt that nuance is widely known. I think it's a reasonable question. As a former server, I have a piece of advice for that server: If you ask a question of a coworker, and they answer with sarcasm, you don't pass that sarcasm on to the customer when you pass on the answer. That's bad service. In my 6 years in restaurants, I was asked my share of dumb questions. But I would never have dreamed of letting on that I thought the question was dumb. Because that's an important part of what good service is. But again, most of the servers there are fine.

We got the Al pastor pizza, and a chicken bake with Caesar salad. The pizza was pretty good. I love the flavor and everything is balanced. The crust was a little on the chewy side for my taste but everything else was really good. We even left some to eat for cold pizza and it was probably one of the best cold pizza we had in a really long time hahaha. The chicken bake was a healthier version of the Costco which I like it a lot. Overall the food is good, and i definitely will be back to try more stuff.
