Pork Belly Kimchi Fried Rice 삼겹 김치볶음밥
Stephen D.

After a long day in the Cascades, this was the perfect place to grab food and head to the hotel. Looked like a cool spot to eat at but we were tired and wanted to eat and go to sleep. The Pork Belly Kimchi Fried Rice was amazing and I would order it again and again if I could.

Used to come here frequently to hangout with friends for drinks and dinner. Food is pretty hit or miss. Sometimes it's good, other times not so much. Drinks are good though. I love the somek tower. Service is decent. Haven't tried this place since the rebranding yet though.

The vibe is amazing here on a Friday night. Live DJ and lots of active participants to play via the device. It feels like stepping into a club but there's food and it's not too dim to look around. You can order food, chat, play games, challenge other tables, and win prizes. Food was good looking but I would not come here just for food. The drinks were strong and we got the keg. Not pictured, sausage ddeokbokki. Fun hang out place and great for meeting people.

Yukhwe - raw beef. Yes I know. They sell this here and I didn't die after eating it.

I won't rate this place lower just because of the fact that it isn't my preferred type of restaurant/lounge or whatever it is that people call this place. If you are not in college, you will feel pretty old hanging out here on the weekends. I came here two different times- Saturday night and Thursday night. Quite different vibes and crowds although pretty much everyone here was getting drunk. Saturday crowd was very young. They looked like people that don't know their alcohol limits and they were getting very wasted intentionally. I saw some people throwing up in front of the restaurant. Def not my thing but I guess some could call this "fun". Fun fact - the bar that was here before chi chi called Sideline was full of people like this. I witnessed several fights outside the bar and bouncers kicking people out, etc. The Thursday crowd was pretty chill. There were a couple of families that were visiting for dinner over some light beer. Service here is excellent. Food is okay too! Not too expensive either. The games are fun but the chatting feature on the tablet is pretty stupid imo. People typing out of desperation. It's basically a Korean version of Earl's and Joey's. Food was pretty authentic as in authentic Korean fusion food. They sold yukhwe which is raw beef marinated in sesame oil with a raw egg yolk on top. My friends (regulars at this establishment) already knew and ordered this dish casually and I felt a bit worried and iffy about the food safety/handling but when I saw that it came out semi frozen, it made me a bit more at ease. I took a bite and it was pretty good and the best of all, I did not get sick from it. If you don't like seeing people that cannot handle alcohol, avoid Fridays and Saturdays.

Cute and vibey spot to hangout with your friends on a Friday or Saturday night. I love how interactive this place is where you can chat with other tables and play mini games together to win drinks. I think the food here is really good.great for pairing it with drinks or a chilled soda. I love the kimchi fried rice and the chicken. I do wish that they would turn off the lights a bit earlier in the evening and also turn on the fans as it gets pretty hot in there.

went here for dinner on a Wednesday at around 7 and there were two other groups there so wasn't too busy. The service was fast and friendly and the ordering tablet is super helpful to get more water or whatever etc instantly. We thought all of the food was mid at best. The corn cheese was a bit watery and oily and I didn't feel like the cheese was sticking to the corn. The udon was probs the best thing we ordered, and the chicken was pretty alright as well, the fries that came with it were pretty mid though, not very crispy or salty or tasty. The ttebokki was fine, the rice cakes were well cooked but the flavor wasn't there for us. Seems like a fun place to go on the weekend or at night so I'll def try and come back for that, just not a place to go just for some food is all.

Another viral instagram food blogger recommendation fail. The food is just not great. We ordered 4 dishes and all 4 were mediocre at best. The corn cheese had a very wet consistency and the ddeolbokki lacked flavor, although the rice cakes were cooked well. The "dumplings" were soggy and filled with only japchae noodles. Chicken wings were ok but also very meh. Overall I can't recommend anyone go here for food. However, if you're still about that party life then I'm sure the food will hit after a few bottles of soju. Service was friendly and fast once you get the hang of iPad ordering.

My friends and I had such a great time here! The food was delicious and the vibes were also really nice for a random Tuesday night. We are defiantly going to visit again on a weekend. We ordered a couple of items and shared. My friends said the fried chicken (Chi Chi Original Crispy Wing) was okay, but they loved everything else. The cheddar fries were delicious and the rose ttoekbokki was so chewy and yummy. I would highly recommend adding cheese on top, but the soup itself is also very creamy. You could order a side of noodles to throw in there as well. They also shared the spicy porkbelly with cheese which they loved and would recommend. The yogurt soju is always my favorite, but I also tried the apple this time which was good as well. The beer cups come with lines along it so you can make your own soju/beer combinations which I really liked. My favorite part was the tablet on the table which has lots of fun drinking games. Our waitress was also very sweet and showed us a new game to play with the soju bottle cap. Overall, really enjoyed this experience and will be visiting again! Hopefully soon :)

Chichi Soupy Ddeokbokki with Thin Sliced Grilled Beef & Fried Corn

Friends of mine invited my husband and I to come here for Happy Hour for their birthday. Since my husband and I had never been here before, we said ok to check it out. We had gone on a Tuesday night so it wasn't busy at all, which was great. The server showed us how to use their service tablet that they have at each table. There, you place your food and drink orders, play games, and can put in your requests for more water, ice, napkins, etc. She even mentioned to look for a little green icon next to items, which indicate the Happy Hour price. Super easy and simple to use. We ordered the Chichi Soupy Ddeokbokki with Thin Sliced Grilled Beef, Fried Corn, and Chi Chi Sweet & Spicy Wings (not pictured). The Ddeokbokki was great! Lots of flavor and the rice cakes cooked perfect! Wasn't a fan of the fried corn. Should've just ordered the Cheesy Corn. The Sweet & Spicy wings were good. A little too saucy for my liking and also a little more on the sweeter side than equally balancing the sweet and spicy on the wings. Now let's get to the games. Omg, it was so much fun that there are games on the tablet in which you compete against the other tables. Which ever table wins the game, they win a prize. Which we won 2 games and it seemed as though the prizes were all non-alcoholic drinks. There are also auctions that pop-up on the tablet, where they offer items at a starting bid price, usually lower than what they offer it at. We had won a bid on the Yogurt Soju. My husband and I definitely want to come back again, as we loved the atmosphere and the food. We can't wait to try other food items off their menu!

Fun spot for drinking with friends. The restaurant is designed for a night out, with Korean bar food and tablets with games you can play. We ordered soju cocktails, which were a little too sweet for our liking. The food was better than I expected though. The spicy cream pasta was tasty and the fried chicken was really tender.

Seafood Spicy Stir-Fried Udon
Smaly K.

Came here to meet my cousins for dinner. We all ordered a bunch of food to share. They weren't huge portions, so it made it easy to order a variety of food to try and share. We all enjoyed the food. We had the Cheesy Corn and Fried Corn, chicken wings, kimchi fried rice, Spicy Mussel Soup, and the Spicy Seafood Stir-Fried Udon. My least favorite was the Spicy Mussel Soup. I didn't taste any spice or flavor, the broth was pretty bland. And my cousin thought the Crispy Wing was underseasoned.

What an absolute BLAST!!! Felt like I was in Koreatown LA. Vibin like we are in a club but without the DJ and dance floor. Just Soju nonstop and fried chicken! Couldn't eat cuz I was on strict liquid diet but it smelled damn good! The menu and the chat! Tables chatting to each other without the f2f! Playing video games against other tables for drinks?!? Bidding on drinks during live auction??? Whaaaa?!?!?! :) Highly recommend to drink eat and listen to loud music while watching big projector screen. Such a random spot in Factoria too. Love it.

Chi chi is a decent place to go for drinks and food in the bellevue area. The food is pretty good. Never had anything bad here and have tried the tteokbokki, stews and chicken. The alcohol can be pricey, but most places these days have similar pricing. If you come with a group it is worth it. The overall ambiance after 9pm is more dark with neon lights and loud music. I think it is interesting that they play youtube videos of dj's rather than play a playlist, but overall a good vibe. Have frequented this place a few times since it has open and would recommend to those who are looking for a pocha vibe in bellevue.

Locally owned, beautifully run, and absolutely overflowing with craft, Asa is everything a Mercer Island bar should be. The cocktails? Thoughtful, balanced, and downright impressive. The food? Elevated without ever feeling fussy. The atmosphere hits that rare sweet spot between date-night polished and neighborhood familiar. And then there's Zeke--the bar manager, the legend, the mixology wizard, my personal hero. Whether he's crafting something off-menu or guiding you toward your new favorite drink, Zeke and the Asa team deliver hospitality that sticks with you long after the last sip. Asa has quickly earned a spot among the Island's must-visit spots, and if you're lucky enough to grab a seat at the bar, you'll understand why. Come for the cocktails, stay for the people, and leave wondering when you can justify coming back again (hint: the answer is probably tomorrow). Cheers to Asa, to local ownership done right, and to the hero behind the bar.

It's a very small space, they made it cozy and the patio looked great. I had a lot of time to look around because I waited so long. The bakery items were on a plate on the counter right next to the contactless pay thing. There was no cover, or barrier between the pastries and the many people coming to the counter. I've seen buffets that have better distance and covering between people and food. There seemed to be only one barista and one bartender. More people kept coming in, At one point the bartender asked the barista if he could help her, though he wasn't trained. Seems unorganized and coffee was mediocre at best. If you want a cocktail you'd be in the right place, but a cafe this place is not.

Resonate's pizza is bar none the best I have ever had anywhere. And that includes Pagliacci, and…read moreNorthlake Tavern way back when it was great. In particular, the three amazing, high-quality cheeses they put on their pepperoni pizza is like a symphony in your mouth. I would just avoid adding their olives, which are green, not black, and possibly the saltiest thing I have ever had in my mouth. I doubt a teaspoon of salt would taste much saltier. After choking down one I did not eat any of the others. Why they don't offer high quality black olives, which do so much for pepperoni pizza IMO, is a head-scratcher for me. Though they brew their beer there, and they always have a stout or porter for me--I like to eat my beer with a knife and fork--I've never found it out of the ordinary. A can of Irish Death would be better. It's the pizza I go there for. But though it is my favorite place by far to have pizza, I have a bone to pick about one of the servers (most of their servers are fine): As a former fine dining restaurant server and shift manager, I'm familiar with the Washington state law that allows restaurant patrons to take partially consumed bottles of wine home with them in their cars if (a) it is resealed with its cork, and (b) they keep it in the trunk or other cargo area where humans don't normally sit. And don't touch it until they're parked at home. I'm a light drinker, and one time I only drank about half a bottle of beer. I think it might have been a large bottle, I'm not sure. Wondering if the rule I knew so well for wine might apply to beer bottles too, I asked the server if it was possible to take it home. I supposed that the main issue might be whether they had a way to seal it, since the cap was no longer good for that. He didn't know, and said he'd find out. When he returned, he said no, and acted like it was the dumbest question anyone in the universe had ever asked, or ever could ask. I had a flashback of Dixie's BBQ on Northup way by I-405 (long closed), where surly sarcasm from knuckle-dragging employees was basically a brand. Curious, today I asked Google for help. I learned that the reason it's possible with wine is because there is a special carve-out in Washington state law just for wine. The carve-out does not apply to any other type of alcohol. So it doesn't matter if you can find a way to reseal the beer bottle. Because the carve-out is only for wine, not beer. I doubt that nuance is widely known. I think it's a reasonable question. As a former server, I have a piece of advice for that server: If you ask a question of a coworker, and they answer with sarcasm, you don't pass that sarcasm on to the customer when you pass on the answer. That's bad service. In my 6 years in restaurants, I was asked my share of dumb questions. But I would never have dreamed of letting on that I thought the question was dumb. Because that's an important part of what good service is. But again, most of the servers there are fine.

The crust was a little on the chewy side for my taste but everything else was really good. We even left some to eat for cold pizza and it was probably one of the best cold pizza we had in a really long time hahaha. The chicken bake was a healthier version of the Costco which I like it a lot. Overall the food is good, and i definitely will be back to try more stuff.

There's something to be said about those classic businesses still intact in an ever-growing Bellevue, including Lil' Jon's. I can't believe it took me so long to make my way here, but actually, I can believe it since I hardly ever go out for breakfast, which this place primarily is known for - classic breakfast entrees. Sure, they have a lunch menu of sandwiches, soups and salads, but breakfast is what you come here for. My friends and I went to Lil' Jon's for breakfast on a Sunday morning and yes, the place was packed, especially since it was a few days after Christmas, so everyone was in town. For the four of us, we waited for about half an hour, which we didn't mind. They do have seats/a waiting area by the entrance. I ordered the biscuits and gravy dish and we all shared the cinnamon roll. We heard the cinnamon rolls are a must-try, and quite honestly, I think you can skip out on this. We were told when we ordered one around the late morning that we were taking one of the last ones as they sell out of these babies, so maybe that's why the cinnamon roll wasn't all that tasty as it wasn't warm and soft. It tasted like it was sitting out for awhile, and was not easy to cut through which is surprising since it's dough. But yeah, skip the cinnamon roll. If you have to try it for yourself, note that it's massive, so is easy to share. However, my biscuits and gravy were solid. I love country gravy, which there was a good amount of, especially on top of the soft-baked biscuits. I would've preferred the sausage in the gravy to have been ground pork sausage, which is normally how this is made, but the cut-up sausage links were fine. I like that you can also get eggs however you prefer, so poached for the win! Anyway, Lil' Jon's is a staple in Bellevue that all Bellevue residents should try at least once. Come here for the unlimited amounts of drip coffee, biscuits and gravy and the friendly staff. We had fun.
