We even left some to eat for cold pizza and it was probably one of the best cold pizza we had in a really long time hahaha. It's located next to a park like plaza with a small grassy area and little water fountains. According to their website, kids are welcome in the restaurant and patio areas until 8 PM (but not in the bar area), which makes this a nice family friendly spot earlier in the day. Later on, the vibe seems like it would be perfect for catching a game, grabbing drinks with friends, and enjoying a more energetic brewery atmosphere. We started with two Moscow mules. Since that's one of our go to drinks and we've had quite a few, these weren't our absolute favorite here. They leaned more on the lime heavy side, and we weren't sure if the ginger beer was just a little flat. That being said, we still finished them! The Birria nachos were the highlight for me! They were so delicious, and the beer cheese sauce was SO good. I honestly just wished there was more of it because it added such a great flavor. My only small complaint is that I wish the toppings were spread out a little more evenly so every bite had a good mix, but overall they were still really tasty. The Mac Attack was also good, but it didn't completely wow us. If you're looking for an ultra thick, super creamy mac and cheese, this probably isn't that style. I understand how hard it is to accommodate a huge crowd with the noise along with getting to all of the customers having worked in restaurants in my past. It just doesn't make sense. I've been here before and have always sat in the front area, which has comfortable cushioned seating. This time, we were seated in the back area, and the chairs there were honestly so uncomfortable. After sitting for about two hours, all of us literally had backaches. When you're charging premium prices for food and drinks, comfortable seating should be a basic part of the experience. As you can see from our bill, we spent around $300, and at that price point, sitting on cheap, uncomfortable chairs really takes away from the high-end bar experience. We actually could have stayed longer and ordered more, but the seating made all of us so uncomfortable that it completely killed the vibe. We also shared this feedback with our server. That being said, I do want to specifically mention that the staff was wonderful and the service was 5/5. Our server, Andrew, was great! He recommended a drink to my friend based on her taste preferences, and she absolutely loved it. Overall, the staff was very nice, attentive, and fun. I really hope Civility & Unrest considers upgrading the seating in the back area to comfortable cushioned chairs or sofas. It would make such a huge difference and would better match the otherwise classy atmosphere and premium pricing.

Lastly, after leaving the place, I realized that I accidentally left my sunglasses there. So I called later that evening to inquire if they had found them. I discovered they route all incoming calls to a bot that instantly made me feel unimportant and unappreciated. What's worse is it tried to connect me with someone in the restaurant, but kept looping back into its own messaging narrative. What an absolute PITA. This enables me to make a broader point: Restaurants have to get it through their heads that cutting costs has negative impact on customer experience, putting the lifeblood of their business into jeopardy. Take the widespread adoption of QR code-based menus during COVID...how many restaurants do you know actually switched back to real menus after COVID passed? The answer is very few. The reason why? They are too stingy to pony up the dough and ignore the benefit to the customer experience. They figure, 'people already know how to do that so why spend the money on printing up menus anymore?". They couldn't care less about what customers might actually enjoy more, and that's the real travesty. If restaurants are going to force their customers into a self-serve model (as so many have nowadays), then why bother tipping anyone? I am so fed up of a world where the idolatry of wealth has surpassed the appreciation and value of real, engaging human experiences. The Central Bar + Restaurant could help reverse this course if they ever decide to they put customer experience first instead of their own profits.
