Well, this place is cool, simply because it is in Union Station. The bar itself is pretty neat looking and comfortable. Our drinks were great! Our service was great! Even though the place was crowded, it's nice that it is a "seat yourself," so we were able to get a seat pretty quickly. The food was just OK. When they brought the chicken basket appetizer, it looked like it was going to be fantastic. But, the tiny breaded chicken strips ended up being dry and chewy. It was a great to be able to get some food after arriving late at night to stay at the Crawford Hotel! The bartender and waiter were fast and friendly! I ordered fried calamari, chicken wings and a cheesecake to go to the room. I know I ordered fried food however as fried food, the chicken wings were soggy but the meat inside was good. The calamari were so fried that I barely found the actual calamari. It seemed to me that the food was good quality but the cooking was not quite. I didn't taste the cheesecake, my husband ate it all with no sharing LOL so I guess it must have been good! read more

With seating inside and outside of Union Station, Terminal Bar has more than enough room to accommodate the new normal of social distance activities. I met up with a friend outside, where you place an order with the bartender. We each got something to eat (for me it was the Chicken Asparagus Club), and a drink. The food was delicious, and I liked the addition of asparagus in a sandwich. I would have given a higher star rating, but they don't offer tap water, just bottled water. Apparently, they don't have the set up available outside to provide water. Other than that, it was a nice place to visit. read more

Few things I like about this place. First off, it makes the train station a place you'd want to visit. Secondly, you meet alllll sorts of people here, it's nice to just com people watch and grab a drink. Third and lastly of the highlights, I love that they have a bar on the inside (you'll know what I mean when you see it), and a window on the other side to order. There is less crowding at the bar area. They also have tables inside so you can sit down and have food too. Just grab a drink and settle in. With an early flight out of Chicago and 3 hours to kill before I could meet my buddy in Denver, I found myself in - of all things - at a bar in a train station. I know - it sounds sad. But it was actually amazing. Terminal Bar has an almost absurdly good selection of craft beer available, and an awesome retro-revival ambience. This place used to be a ticket counter, and they've used the space extremely well. You can sit at the bar, grab a table, or just order a drink and enjoy it anywhere in the terminal - which is in and of itself an awesome concept. However, what really made the experience was Ernest, my bar tender. In addition to picking a great beer for me (I asked him to surprise me) he was friendly, kind, and even let me use the bar's phone charger (mine was stashed away at one of those luggage storage places). He also offered me a free sample of a tequila the bar got as a promotion. In short - it was a great experience, and I had far too much fun during what I expected to be a boring, waiting-around-for-my-ride situation. I may have to take the train more often! read more

Wow! This bar surpassed my expectations. I am a guest at the Crawford hotel. With my stay I get a free beer during happy hour each day I stay. I don't typically drink beer but they had a cider as an option that was PHENOMENAL. The taste and light weight feel to the drink was so good I highly recommend anyone try it that's not into beer but wants to try something on tap. The staff was very busy and they forgot to put in our food order. So we waited a very long time for the waiter to come back over and apologize for not getting our food sooner. Just felt completely unwelcome. Bartender was laughing and jostling with her coworkers and a manager in the middle well, while she almost scowled at me every time she approached. No hint of a smile with any of the clientele I saw her encounter. Pro-tip: if you live off gratuity, people actually tip more if you are nice to them. Location, location, location - it's one of the most mentioned sayings in regards to real estate. When it comes to a restaurant, that afore mentioned saying should be followed with great service and great taste. At the Terminal Bar, all three apply. I arrived from Denver Airport to meet a friend in the city for a couple of ours. My flight didn't leave 'till 11:59am, so I definitely had time to kill. When I asked her what to do in the city, I was overwhelmed when her first response was "Have you been to Union Station?" - I was already there. (If you need more information on Union Station read my recent review of it). So when it comes to location, the Terminal Bar couldn't do any better. Union Station is packed with traveling customers and not only that, the locals flock to it as well, to party, celebrate, meet up for a drink or two, overall, it's the place to be. When it comes to service, the Terminal Bar wasn't bad either. They've created a neat split system. You can go inside the bar if you like a more traditional setting or you can stand outside, order food, and drinks through a giant window into the bar from the Union Station side and seat inside Union Station with your friends. We chose the later. At the window they take your order, give you a long yet elegant stick with a number attached for you to place over your table, and a server comes and meets you there with your food. Awesome! The food itself was great too. I ordered their chicken wings with Buffalo sauce and a side order of fries (since I was in Denver I was devouring everything Buffalo and/or Elk) and my friend, since she had already eaten, settled for just a beer. The wings were delicious. The only complaint, if I'm to have one, would be the size of the order. The order had only 6 wings and I didn't see an option on the menu to order more unless I doubled the order. In itself is not much of a complain as their prices were really reasonable. Overall it was a great experience, the ambiance, the customer service and the food combined with the age, design, and beauty of Union Station make for an unforgettable experience. Dropped into the Terminal Bar for a quick drink before heading to Tattered Cover Book Store across the street. The bar is conveniently located inside Union Station and it's really trendy. I ordered the 'Liliko'i Kepolo' Passionfruit beer and my bf got a Sidecar. The bartender was really nice and churned out our drinks really fast. He was also very meticulous with his craft. I'm usually not a big beer person (except when I attempt to play beer pong), but I can't believe how good the passionfruit beer was. It tasted a little sweet and tropical with a subtle hint of passionfruit aroma. My bf also mentioned that his Sidecar was probably one of the better ones. The overall drink was strong, but the sugar on the rim really helped smooth out the taste. Overall, Terminal Bar wasn't part of our plan, but we were so glad it did! This bar seems cooler because of the building that it is in. Otherwise, it probably would have gotten an A-ok 3 star. But the Union Station Building is such a cool place, it bumps up the bar. It is kind of a dark bar with half bar service and half table service. The service was pretty good, but not great. The prices were a little higher than some places. But not over-the-top expensive. We were in late, so food wasn't on our agenda. But the later night after eating and the dark atmosphere here led to our group getting sleepy. Love Terminal Bar. If you have some free time and you're in the area check it out. There's limited seating inside that is seat yourself. However; union Station offers up several spots to sit and you can order at the counter. We were lucky enough to grab a booth inside and it's a really cool atmosphere. We ordered the Colorado cider ($6) and it was perfect if you like sweet cider. They have an white bar through so no need to limit yourself on what you order for a drink. We ended up ordering the white truffle fritas ($8$ and whole crap were they awesome! The basket was huge and the added shaved Parmesan completed it. These were probably the crispiest fries I've ever had and the garlic aioli was heavenly. The only improvement could be the wait staff. While our drink order was taken quickly and our drinks arrived shortly after no one came to ask if we wanted food. Ten minutes into our drinks I flagged my server down to place the order. They were out of the ingredients for their signature cocktail the Shirley Collins, but he recommended the Dirty Shirley and it didn't disappoint. It is loud, but is hopping. Great stop for lunch and a drink in Union Station. Our burgers were delicious, and fries were amazing! Prices were reasonable considering we were downtown and in Union Station. Wide variety of domestic and local beers. Lots of seating available, they take COVID precautions seating you away from others. The seating area is roped off, so you don't have random people walking past your table as they go to the other side of the building. We're definitely stopping here again next time we're in Denver! read more

We came here twice during our 5 night stay at The Crawford: once for dinner & another night just to claim our free daily beer. I'd say the negatives were that the menu wasn't super impressive for food & there seemed to be some miscommunication between the hotel/restaurant related to the daily free offering (hotel insisted there was a free beer AND wine list but restaurant said only free beer). However, the logistics of the place are really cool in that you can partake in a traditional restaurant/bar experience or you can order from a to go window & enjoy at one of the communal tables/couches in the train station lobby. The bar is beautiful in either areas & one of the most eye catching parts of the renovated train station. The drink selection was really great & we wish we had taken up our daily drink offer more often on our trip. Definitely stop by at least once if staying at The Crawford! read more

Great drinks here! It can get a bit busy after work during the week, but they have outdoor seating too. The waiters are very nice and give recommendations on drinks if you want. Perfect location to grab a drink after work downtown or while you're walking around enjoying Denver. Note- it is pricey, so don't be alarmed. read more

First off, the building from the outside (Union Station) is very cool, upon entry it's gorgeous inside. The Terminal Bar is just as cool as the rest of the building...okay, maybe even better? So, drinks. Excellent selection of craft beers and pretty much everything else one would want to imbibe. Try: Elevation Brewing Co. "Senorita" Spiced Imperial Porter! Service? Unlike a few other reviewers, we had THE BEST cocktail server - Jaimie! She was smart, attentive and FUN! Each time I visit Denver, I visit Terminal Bar. I love how they have created such a cool bar to enjoy at Union Station. I like to cozy up at a bar booth and my go-to is the rotating sour beer on tap. I always find service to be good and genuinely friendly. On the last visit we had drinks as well as a pretzel from the happy hour menu. I stopped by here while waiting for the train to go to Denver Airport. My partner and I got the following drinks: The Shadow of St. Charles ($12; rye, Campari, Giffard Banane du Bresil, Averna Amaro) - The banana flavor of Giffard Banane du Bresil was a tad strange combined with the bitter citrus of Campari. It tasted okay - not my favorite but not bad either. A Matcha Made In Heaven ($11; cachaca, Bols Genever, matcha tea, pineapple juice, lime juice, simple syrup) - I'm always happy to try craft cocktails with cachaca that's not a caipirinha. It was surprisingly good and the matcha flavor really came through. Wynkoop Sour ($11; bourbon, lemon juice, pear syrup, Cocchi Barolo Chinato) - When I read it on the menu it seemed to be a pretty interesting take on the classic NY Sour. But I couldn't really taste the pear at all so it was a little disappointing. Service was a bit slow and the bartenders seemed preoccupied. Understandable since the bar was very busy and they take orders from both sides of the bar. Ambiance was great - my partner said that it reminded him of Harry Potter lol. 5/14/2016- I wanted a craft cocktail in Denver from this craft beer saturated state (not a bad thing). Especially after visiting like 4 in 2 days. We walked into beautiful Union Station and there it is. We could not get a seat at the bar inside so we just stood by one of the tables outside the bar. I ordered the Cable Car, Sailor Jerry's Spiced Rum, Combier Orange Liqueur, Fresh Lemon and Cinnamon Sugar Rim. The glassware was a Martini glass, I was not expecting that. It was a great drink. They have an extensive local beer list as well. I really enjoyed sipping my drink and just watching everyone go by and wondering where are they all going. read more

Located on one end of Denver's legendary and beautiful Union Station, this is a good food and libation option. I like that they have booth and bar options, plus they have indoor bench seating within steps of the place. My recent visit luckily had a great server named Maye who made it a great experience. Had some great tempura, a terrific chicken tender plate, and a couple of good local beers. After reviewing the extensive list I went with the Bear Skin Rug which was Trace, two types of amaro, demerarra and house bitters.
