I am now been to this restaurant twice and have tried several things on the menu. I would say that this place has excellent value. It's right next to Union Station. It also has a very helpful staff. My favorite is the nachos. The Carnitas on the nachos are done excellently. The chips are not too heavy, but they also hold up to the toppings. I would say this is excellent bar food. The wings with the Thai chili sauce is really good. I would say with the boneless there's a little more breading than I would like. But I did enjoy the wings and the sauce was fabulous. They didn't skimp on the veggies on the side either. I've also had their pizza the spicy Hawaiian was delightful. I really enjoyed that they put pepperoni on there. And there's plenty of cheese that has stringy goodness whenever you pick it up. It's a great value. You could even buy pizza by the slice here. I love their happy hour with pizza. It's great I also tried their pickle fries. I did enjoy them. I don't know if I would get them again, but they did hold up very well. The batter stayed on. They didn't fall apart. The sauce was very good. My son really enjoyed them. He will definitely order them again. I think they have a great beer on tap selection. There's plenty of places to sit is a great place to beat people. I really did enjoy the ambience and everyone here is super helpful. For me, you can go across the street to Tom's watch bar and pay $20 a drink or you can come here and pay five dollars a drink for me. It's a no-brainer. Keep in mind when reading this review my wife and I were quite drunk so our thoughts on the food may have been a bit inflated. The bartender from Lincoln's mentioned this a spot for late night bites and was correct. So, from what I could sense this is a popular light night cheap eats/drinks spot for what appeared to be a mostly younger crowd! Bartenders were friendly enough considering the large crowd they were dealing with. Needing some quick food to hold us over until the next day we decided to split mozzarella coins (like sticks just coins....duh!) and carnitas nachos. The coins were great and had phenomenal cheese pull to them! The highlight was the carnitas nachos though, although I believe the queso had a little kick so my wife could not enjoy them quite as much as she hoped. If you are drunk I think you will enjoy it here and if you go in not expected world class experience I think it'll be good. Just have expectations realistic! read more

Let me tell you, the pizza rolls, pretzel bites, pickle fries, pizza, hot wings and everything we ordered was really good. We ended up ordering the pizza rolls 3x, yeaaaa, 3x.....in one night, don't believe me. Ask Toben, Amber, Corey and this guy that looked like Seth Rogan but we didn't get his name (sorry, Seth Rogan guy). they'll vouch for my story and provide 5 star service at the same time, great crew! Served with a tasty marina sauce to dip into, this is the perfect combination of mozzarella sticks and pizza. Loads of beers from local breweries cater for all tastes. For a Sports Bar it's got what you need! Lots of food options and if you have dietary restrictions they accommodate. Servers were young and not knowledgeable on the bourbon but they check in frequently and are pretty fast. Inside/outside seating and TV's for sports. Great little suburban find. read more

Small sports bar which is a bit dark but that doesn't bother me. There's also some outdoor seating available. The location is awesome and the drinks are cheap. I see absolutely no reason not to go back unless I'm looking to take advantage of a sunny day. I kind of wish there was more natural light coming through. Service was professional and social distancing is enforced which is great to see. I ordered a Mexican Lager which came with a shot of tequila for just over $4! The person who claimed he was the manager was clearly dealing with some personal issues and was not fit to be working this evening. He spent the entire evening yelling at patrons to get out of his way, as many were simply standing around as the would with any bar experience. At one point he yelled at a patron that they were in his way even though they were standing at the bar with nowhere else to go. Eventually he got so insecure about the patron's dissension that he ripped drinks out of their hands and closed the bar down a half hour early. I have never in my life felt the need to write a review on yelp, but this was so egregious that I felt it deserved a review. This is a venue that myself and my colleagues have enjoyed over the years, but this one particular person who claimed to be a manager has completely lost the faith and business of a large nearby industry and it's patrons due to his insecure and wild actions. read more

My buddy and I were in town for a wedding and sticking around for some adventuring while in town. We were in Denver for 5 nights and we ended up at Icehouse Tavern all 5 nights. Now is this bar so great that you need to spend every night there? No. Our hotel was close by and there wasn't much else open in the neighborhood so we stopped in to finish our first night here. Then we had fun so we came back each night. Even after the wedding... we had a party bus and a few cars of people and were looking for a spot we could all meet up so we went to Icehouse. By the end of our stay, we knew most of the staff, bouncers, and even patrons. It became our Cheers bar for the week and we even got to watch the Avalanche win the Stanley Cup here. Great place to stop in before the Rockies game AND after the game as they definitely have the cheapest drinks and friendliest staff near the Coors Field. You can find this little spot right off the pathway to and from the field. Beer + shot special ($5 for Coors Banquet and J. Beam) was right on point for an afternoon delight after watching the Rockies. This is also a great spot to be able to people watch as you are sitting out on the patio as you can see the spectators of the game come and go. Had a great time on the patio just enjoying the nice sunny weather so we never had a chance to go in but this place is huge! I imagine it is great for crowds and can allow for some fun hang out times with the games set up inside, plenty of tv's to watch any game that is on, and/or hang out getting to know people on the patio. read more

We stopped by after drinks at another nearby (more expensive) establishment...at first things were great. Drinks were relatively affordable given the Downtown location and price point...an hour or so later and it went downhill. Hubs was vomiting up a storm after a 2 beers on tap. I stuck with liquor drink/ mixed drinks during our visit thinking it was better than taps and I guess I was right. In less than 2 hours of leaving this place, he and the toilet became best friends. Stopped by here on my way out of a Rockies game around the 7th inning for a quick bite while waiting for the next train home. After about 25-35 minutes waiting for food, without prompting, the manager came over to check on us, and then our waitress shortly after took half off our food and offered to box it up so we wouldn't miss our train. The food tasted great! My friend ordered the spicy polish sandwich with tots which was the thickest sausage I've ever seen, and my wings weren't too shabby either, with a generous wet buffalo sauce coating and fresh but not too cold celery and ranch. We skipped on the drinks this go around, but when our two friends finally caught up with us they got their drinks quickly thereafter. I appreciated the sound deadening foam on the ceiling, even though they weren't very busy when we got there, it was nice to see in a bar where I'm sure it can get very loud, very quickly. The Ice House is a quality watering hole. They usually have some variety of beer on special, and while the menu is you standard pub fare, there is enough variety that everyone can find something to suit their palette. The atmosphere is good, and there's just something about those old renovated industrial buildings that make for a good pub scene. I had Chili Rellenos last time, and they were quite tasty. The Oakland Raiders are a crappy team, but that's largely because their fans are assholes. Also, it sits very close to Coors Field, which makes it a great place to warm up or cool down during Rockies season. read more

Located in the lower level of, you guessed it, an old ice house in the LoDo section of Denver. Nice, laid back atmosphere and Jessica, my bartender was friendly and helpful about the beer selection. Nothing great (I had a Great Divide Seasonal) but the bar area was comfortable and inviting. I have to say that my walk to the bathroom and back was a little confusing.
