Whatever you need tech wise, don't come here. They will upcharge you and justify it to you no matter what you say. I called them about a button replacement on a video game console. They weren't rude though a bit pretentious if anything, but they said that it would cost ~175 dollars for the button change. Mind you, I was providing all the necessary parts and there are videos of someone doing the exact same service on the same device in 30-45 min. Later, I called another local business and they ended up doing it for me for $45 total. After my experience, I left a negative Google Review for Tech Rockstars explaining that they were trying to charge more then 3x the price of their competitors, which to me is a scam. Tech Rockstars replied to my review and said that it is just because they are true tech experts and they provide such good service that it justifies their cost. I completely understand that experts deserve to be compensated for their hard work and that prices are different at different businesses. I'm not saying that everywhere should be $45 bucks because I found a place with that price. I mightve paid ~$80 for the service here or elsewhere and I get that it is a specialized skill. But it was clear that they just wanted more money and would and will charge more if they can get away with it. It was clear that they will scam you for more money if they feel like you won't say no. So don't come here. Tech experts or not, they have shady business practices and bad attitudes to their customers. There are so many great local tech repair places in the area and I'd recommend anywhere else but here. read more

Huge Thanks to German! I had an incredible experience with Tech Rockstars, and I especially want to shout out German, who absolutely saved me. I brought in a Samsung T7 Touch external drive that refused to cooperate... the fingerprint touch wasn't working, the connection kept dropping, and nothing I tried at home (including EaseUS) made any difference. This drive held over 15 years of my graphic design portfolio and artwork, so to say I was stressed is an understatement. German was patient, calm, and genuinely understanding the entire time. He walked through every possible solution, trying multiple approaches without rushing or giving up. On what felt like our last-ditch effort, he managed to get the drive to finally connect and stay stable and we got all the data back! I can't even express the relief. My computer's hard drive had eminent failure, so I bought a new computer to transfer all my files but it froze and I was unable to do anything. I was really stressed out because I needed to process payroll on my QB desktop. I called several computer repair shops but nobody answered. Tech Rockstars answered and they said I could bring in my computer right away. They were able to transfer everything onto my new computer and saved my Quickbooks file. So I called them this afternoon 5-9-20. Inquiring about possibly fixing my Playstation 4 HDMI port, long story short they guy on the phone quoted me at $290 to fix it.... Just a cracked screen working properly and was able to use touch. They suggested I bring it in for $20 diagnostic. Dropped on wed, said he would call Friday, never did. I called Friday, twice on Saturday and again Monday morning. Had to physically walk into the location to get an update. They called said service would be $350. I declined services and he said the diagnostic would be $40 and I said NO! It's $20 and I'm not paying more and got my computer back. Found a reliable, honest and fast IT computer guy that only charged me $170 for the exact same service! He also noticed that Tech Rockstars removed the touch screen drivers that only HP can reinstall for $50. Probably because I did not want to utilize their unreliable and overpriced services. I've had absolutely the WORST experience here. First off I am a student. For the last three weeks, I've had to deal with not having a laptop. More importantly during my finals week. I had planned on fixing my MacBook Pro screen (the whole display had a crack which caused the entire screen to turn black) when I came home for winter break. I know that it being the holiday season it would take a little longer than possible for repairs but I didn't know it would take my ENTIRE winter break for them to get the part which they were UNSUCCESSFUL in obtaining. The communication at this place is ridiculous. I had to call everyday to check the status of my laptop. Still after two weeks they had not called in and checked in with me about the conditions of my computer (and I was on a limited time schedule due to my school calendar and returning flight). Apparently the piece they ordered from the vendor was "lost in transit" and they still haven't gotten any word back from the delivery services regarding its arrival. I'd like to mention that I found this out after 2 weeks waiting in silence without any word from Tech Rockstars about the issues they were facing. Each day I called they would repeat, "the computer should be ready this week" or "we will call you with more details soon." Each time they failed to fulfill any of these promises. Finally enough was enough and I decided to just get my computer from them because they were not doing their job [well]. Although I didn't even have the opportunity to have my laptop serviced I know from my experience Tech Rockstars has poor organization and communication skills. If possible I wish I could give them 0 stars. PS: Although I live in Monrovia, I ended up finding a great MacBook repair store in Studio City called Elite MacTechs. They were able to repair my computer in an hour! Yes they did have the part already ready to go but this place had contacted me via email and text with the status of my computer. Every question I had they answered within 5 mins; I was very impressed since this seemed foreign to Tech Rockstars. *Also price wise I ended up saving $80 at Elite MacTechs vs Tech Rockstars. read more

I took my laptop in because it wouldn't connect to the internet, while all my other machines would. They also pointed out that my touch screen wasnt working right. But they could fix it for $600. I bought the laptop for $650 so I wasn't going to do that. Left it there for a few days, didnt know how to fix it. To be fair they didnt charge me for it. Also the laptop had tons of security software removed as it was used for my previous job and I suspect removal of token key/RSA software may have caused issues. Lesson on my end, dont let your employer use your own personal laptop. This isn't a normal issue so I gave them 4 stars even though they couldn't fix it. I fixed it, just restored it to a previous restore point, I didn't know I had. All is fine now. Why I didn't check before I have no idea. Tip when all is right with your pc create a restore point (type restore in search) it takes as much time as getting a cup of coffee. read more

These folks are clueless as to how to do business, in my opinion. They helped me over the phone to get free software. I don't even use it. It was inferior.
