Wanted to get a quote to get my 4 year old laptop's thermal paste changed due to thermal throttling and stuttering, but instead was recommended to just clean the fans myself! I did that and then did what he recommended, which was to disable processor boost mode! This dropped my temps immediately and my laptop no longer thermal throttles!
