Spoke to Jonathan about a problem with my home computer. He told me that his company didn't provide that type of service. I asked him if he could refer me to someone who could perform that type of repair. He replied that any computer repair company should be able to make that repair. He questioned me about the issue that I was having with my computer. I asked him if he told that the problem was major and worth fixing. He asked me if he could remotely connect to my computer and see the problem. I agreed, so he proceeded to connect and check my computer. He tried a few things and immediately found the problem. The repair was rather simple for him, but would have been major for me. I am giving this review for other potential customers because this technician's diligence in building his company's reputation in the industry is outstanding. My husband and I are older and a bit computer challenged. We were having no luck trying to connect our new HP printer/scanner to our WiFi. We went on the Web to contact "HP Support." It seems we started out with HP Support but were intercepted by ??? and we didn't keep an eye on the addresses to see we had been intercepted by another site. After being asked a lot of questions ending with "what security system did we have on our car and our house", we quickly ended the connection. Immediate PANIC!! We felt we had given out way too much info and were going to be hacked big time. We contacted our trusted, knowledgeable tech guy that we had seen for years. He had retired in the last year (Oh Drat) but was willing to try to help us find out if we had been hacked or not and how bad. He checked all he knew and then referred us to Chris at WinC Services who he felt would take care of us. We immediately called Chris. Within a few minutes we knew we were just plain lucky to have been referred to Chris. He took over our computer and did a thorough search and luckily, found nothing awry. He was very calm throughout the search and we begin to feel relieved by the minute. Then, he talked us through a lengthy set up of our new printer/scanner. The information included with the printer/scanner said, "Quick Start Guide." HA. Maybe in HP's world, but not ours. I strongly advise anyone who needs tech help to call Chris at WinC Services first. I was panicking. What I thought was a legit business had turned into a scam operation. Had the scammers gotten into my computer as they "researched" my problem? The images on my screen certainly suggested they had. I quickly aborted the scammers' "search," and called Chris at WinC Services, whom my retiring computer consultant had referred me to. I was dealing with an unexpected hardware issue late at night, and in a hurry while looking through nearby IT services who could help, I stumbled across WinC's 24/7 line to look for some help. I didn't realize until Chris N. picked up that their services were not for consumer PC issues and was instead more for broad corporate tech, but he was gracious enough to still lend me a mini-consultation of my issues, helping inspect my PC remotely, identifying my hardware issues to something that could be addressed (a burnt-out hard drive disc that both was and wasn't being identified), and while WinC's services don't extend to data recovery, Chris gave some referrals for other nearby businesses specializing in it. So while I admittedly can't give an adequate review in terms of their broader business services, I still gotta give the 5 stars for their professionalism and helpfulness in this predicament. This company has the best trouble-shooting and customer service. I am not even a customer yet but called twice for consultation and they solved two issues in minutes that took (I won't name names) a major computer manufacturer support team months and a corporate IT team a whole day to fail in resolving. I would gladly pay an invoice if they gave me one because their logic and resolutions are just that effective. They did not charge me but I am posting this compliment and will forward the highest recommendations to my company and others. I called to get an estimate on my computer repair and didn't realize this business services other business. Regardless of that, Chris didn't just try to hurry off of the phone. He actually asked for more information on what type of computer I have and how old, with this information given to him he offered me a solution and a price point I should be looking for. I had been fighting a non functional Outlook email program on my home desktop computer for nearly a week, without any success in getting it working. Eventually I contacted Chris N. at Win C Services about it. He listened carefully and worked with me by linking his computer on to mine so that he could see everything that was happening on my malfunctioning computer. Over many hours, Chris analyzed where the problem was, and even the exact moment when it originated (in a system crash 5 days earlier.) He knew that it was a very unusual fault that could not be cured by using the standard Microsoft self repair software. Chris used backups of my machine from six days earlier to find functional copies of the vital files and used those to repair the software, bringing my computer back to full functionality with no loss of data. Watching him during this time, I perceived that Chris had a profoundly deep knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office in general and of Outlook in particular. He took my malfunctioning PC as a personal challenge and would not let go of the problem until the machine was restored to full functionality. I highly recommend Chris N. My short review is just stop searching and go with Chris, you'll be making the right call. My longer review - Chris did a great job setting up a network switch and our NAS in our video studio. For the first time, we're able to edit even 6K footage without using external SSDs - it's wild. Chris was so easy to work with every step along the way, and without a doubt I'll be recommending his services for a long time (and using them again for our own studio).
