Saved my laptop & my sanity!
Liteaux A.

If my laptop were a patient, it was on life support when I brought it into Alice Computerworks. I was ready to hold a vigil for the RAM status, when suddenly the punch card gave me 3 instances of repair for one price! Not only was I able to come in about a laptop earlier this year (which they put into the best shape possible), but also in December at the end of the year for an entirely different laptop! They managed to help me do exactly what i needed from my laptop in terms of performance-- including the gaming which I swear I'll get better at one day. The whole team isn't just skilled; they're also really talkative and explain epic things in simple terms for me. Jude, Andrew, Jake!!! Wow! Plus, their prices? Way cheaper than my therapy bills would've been if I went without fixing my laptops! One price for a three hole punch card is an amazing deal. If your computer's acting up, don't panic--just take it to Alice Computerworks. They're basically the ER for your electronics, but with better wait times. It took them 10 minutes to do something that Geek Squad said would take weeks.

The real deal!! My old Sony laptop went black so I brought it to this store. Guy the rep was very understanding and ushered me to Jay superstar who saved the data in a record time and got the computer to work after disassembling it ; All fixed in a record time! The best place for repair ever: Will come back of course if needed! Thank you again Jay!

I bought something from them, it was defective, and they would not accept a return or replace the item.

Spoke to Jonathan about a problem with my home computer. He told me that his company didn't provide…read morethat type of service. I asked him if he could refer me to someone who could perform that type of repair. He replied that any computer repair company should be able to make that repair. He questioned me about the issue that I was having with my computer. I asked him if he told that the problem was major and worth fixing. He asked me if he could remotely connect to my computer and see the problem. I agreed, so he proceeded to connect and check my computer. He tried a few things and immediately found the problem. The repair was rather simple for him, but would have been major for me. I am giving this review for other potential customers because this technician's diligence in building his company's reputation in the industry is outstanding. I called this company by chance and got rewarded. He fixed my computer without hesitation and I am very grateful for all the help he gave me. Thanks again, Mark N

My husband and I are older and a bit computer challenged. We were having no luck trying to connect…read moreour new HP printer/scanner to our WiFi. We went on the Web to contact "HP Support." It seems we started out with HP Support but were intercepted by ??? and we didn't keep an eye on the addresses to see we had been intercepted by another site. After being asked a lot of questions ending with "what security system did we have on our car and our house", we quickly ended the connection. Immediate PANIC!! We felt we had given out way too much info and were going to be hacked big time. We contacted our trusted, knowledgeable tech guy that we had seen for years. He had retired in the last year (Oh Drat) but was willing to try to help us find out if we had been hacked or not and how bad. He checked all he knew and then referred us to Chris at WinC Services who he felt would take care of us. We immediately called Chris. Within a few minutes we knew we were just plain lucky to have been referred to Chris. He took over our computer and did a thorough search and luckily, found nothing awry. He was very calm throughout the search and we begin to feel relieved by the minute. Then, he talked us through a lengthy set up of our new printer/scanner. The information included with the printer/scanner said, "Quick Start Guide." HA. Maybe in HP's world, but not ours. I strongly advise anyone who needs tech help to call Chris at WinC Services first. You can waste your time checking with others, but yes, it will be a waste of your time. If the other guys at WinC are as talented and knowledgeable as Chris, you have found your gold mine. We did. She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Since I arrived close to closing time and didn't have an appointment, she let me know they would run diagnostics on my laptop the following day. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off. I highly recommend Di-No for honest and fast service!

I previously had a great Mac repair experience at this mostly Apple-focused store, so when my…read morechild's gaming laptop failed, I brought it to the Microsoft counter at the back of the store. I paid the $89 diagnostic fee and understood that it would be applied toward the repair cost if I moved forward with the repair. That policy is completely reasonable. After diagnosing the issue as a failed motherboard, however, I was told they could not obtain the necessary Asus part and therefore could not perform the repair. I later learned that an authorized repair provider could obtain the part and complete the repair. My frustration is not that they charged for diagnostic time. My frustration is that no one mentioned before taking my money that they might not be able to source Asus parts or complete the repair. Had I known that, I would have taken the computer directly to an authorized repair provider. The laptop is currently being repaired by Geek Squad. I intentionally support small local businesses, and Di-No is close to my home, so it seemed like a win-win. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When I asked whether a refund was possible given that the repair could not be performed, I was told no. Consumers should know there is a possibility they may pay for a diagnosis, only to discover that the shop cannot complete the repair and that they will need to start over elsewhere.
