I just finished dining here...3/19 at 1200 noon...I want to start out by saying I ordered the veggie omelet and a Vietnamese coffee, and both were good and tasty ... And my server at the bar was top notch... . The three star comes from the restaurant manager sitting me at the bar, when tables are available. I asked him , could I please have a table.... He said during our busy time, we like to sit singles at the bar. I have been in food service for 30+ years and have never been told that I have to sit at a certain place because I'm dining alone. First off, what if I am not comfortable sitting with my elbows next to someone I didn't know..... Second .. I could be purchasing as much food as two diners..... And third.... Being 56.... Maybe I don't feel comfortable sitting on a high stool. My family is coming to town from Chicago in May, and I was going to suggest this as one of our spots to go.....but will not ...I will patronize a business that is more industry professional ....in a word disappointed read more

I was excited to try Teaspoon after hearing good things about it and checking out the menu but it fell a little flat. I will return and try other things. My go-to brunch places seem to be everyone's, and there is always a long wait, so it's nice that Teaspoon will take reservations. The service was A-okay, friendly but not above or beyond. Prices seem a bit high, especially for the sweet breakfast items. We were celebrating birthdays in my family, so we got mimosas, which were great, good bubbly-to-juice ratio. My sister ordered the famous bubble waffle, and I got the breakfast pizza, and we shared so we could each have savory and sweet. The pizza tasted good, but got soggy quickly because of the amount of gravy and the runny eggs. It was also really messy to eat but no biggie. The bubble waffle tasted like a fluffy pizelle, and it was much smaller and thinner than I expected. For the price, it should be more substantial. My mom ordered the Dutch baby, which was pretty good. It wasn't overly sweet, and the cast iron pan it's served in keeps it nice and warm. The atmosphere is nice, but we did get seated next to a loud group of teens, and the place does get busy on weekends. I'll give it a few more tries and perhaps an additional star later. For now, it's decent but I still prefer other brunch spots. read more

I was looking for a brunch spot for myself and a friend to go to while she was in town. We were sat immediately and our waiter was attentive. The decor was fun and hip and so was the waitstaff. We shared the Savory Crepe and the Dutch Baby and it was okay, did not stand out. I'd love to come back and try something different. It was also difficult to find from the parking lot but after a little bit of searching, we were able to find it. Overall a nice, pleasant experience. read more

Cool atmosphere and food was good. I selected the grilled cheese breakfast sandwich and my friend at the steak omelette. I like bread but the sandwich was too much bread for me. The eggs and cheese were good but also expected more of a cheesy taste. My friend said her omelette was excellent. We sat at the bar and the servers were attentive and friendly. I would revisit this restaurant again as I really enjoyed the overall energy of the restaurant and the location. On a nicer day, I think it would be nice to have breakfast/brunch on the patio. read more

The food was amazing and the portion size was perfect. I couldn't finish my pepper skillet meal and took the left overs to go. The server was very nice and despite it being packed he was able to ensure our drinks were filled. I was very disappointed at the end when we received our bill and they double charged our bottomless mimosas. The waiter indicated the bottomless mimosas were not allowed to be shared even though this was never shared with us, and the menu does not specify it is for one person. We ordered one bottomless mimosa and two entrees as this has always been my experience at most places. Unfortunately despite not being told in advance and it not being clearly stated on the menu we were charged for two bottomless mimosas, $40 additional dollars we weren't expecting. We love this place! Adult coffee and delicious street waffles have made it a favorite of ours. But now even more- we came Friday for Mother's Day and my birthday and it seems like there was no staff. The hostess was working the entire floor while waiting for backup. We watched your cooks come out and take over. They were taking our orders and keeping it going! Much love! read more

Food was good, service was below average, but where we were sat was absolutely disgusting. Hair, dirty and trash were all alongside us. Hair and dirt literally blew onto our plates and faces. Honestly shocking they are willing to sit people here. To top it off they had us put our newborn in the walkway to the entrance of the restaurant so I had to hold onto her car seat for the entire time in case anyone were to trip over it. read more

Service was non-existent on Friday, May 29. We were seated then ignored for 10 minutes, at which point we walked out. Not one of the 3 servers acknowledged us. I understand busy in a restaurant, but to be completely ignored is unacceptable. The table next to us, seated after us, got their coffees. We got nothing. As we left, I informed the hostess, who simply offered a weak "sorry" and turned to the customer in front of her. I will tell everyone I know to avoid Teaspoon. read more

We were visiting Tucson for a wedding.. we had late breakfast here 2 days in a row. Loved the food, service & ambiance! The waiter recommended the smoothie bowl.. and so I ordered it- it was sooooo good! Loved the eggs Benedict with crab as well! Super yummy. read more

The food is always fantastic. The service is always just ok. No one seems happy to work there. The staff never anticipates needs, so you always have to ask for simple things like coffee, water and getting plates picked up. Nice location. Food had lots of color and was presented well. Service was good as well. Ordered southwest salad, avocado toast, pancakes, and pastry. The salad dressing was good flavor the grilled chicken was bland and have tough spots. The avocado toast had a fair amount of butter with avocado slices. This was odd to have butter with avocado. Toast came with a poached egg but the egg had a fair amount of water with it still. Overall, food was tasteless and expensive for what you're getting. I can't recommend this place. Teaspoon has awesome outdoor seating and a trendy, Urban vibe. While the food is good, I've never eaten anything that's truly blown me away. I have to start with the layout because it's my favorite part. The outdoor seating resides within a new, brick courtyard among other businesses. There's a fountain and you almost feel you're somewhere other than the desert. Orange Therapy--this gimmicky workout place--is right next door, so if you like people watching, you'll be glad to know folks are coming and going from their workouts fairly regularly. They don't intrude on your space or anything, but it's close enough to watch those poor saps getting ready to workout while you're gorging yourself on brunch. The inside is also cool. The tables and wall decor are very modern and feel like they belong in an east coast cafe. The food is solid, but like I stated above, I haven't really found my go-to meal. Oh, and I should clairfy; I've only been here for breakfast/brunch, so I can't testify to what's served after. This place is famous for it's "bubble waffle," which is what you'd expect it to be: a waffle with bubbles in it. I've never had it, but I've tried a friends and thought it was okay. I'm not much for sweet stuff, though, and it's around $10. I feel like that's a pretty big mark up for fried dough, and I'm more of a meat eater, so I've stayed away from it. The skillets are good, as are the traditional breakfasts. They just don't stand out to me. This place is definitely worth the try for the atmosphere alone. And if you like sweet breakfasts, you should really enjoy it. read more

TEASPOON DOES NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS! Restaurant closes at 3:00 pm according to their sign. We arrived at 2:20 pm and were told that "we are closed". When I asked about the time, I was told that the kitchen closes at 2:30 pm. Hmm... Guess that the young man could not tell time or had somewhere to go. Outside tables were not cleaned and the wind blew trash and food over the courtyard. Might be worthwhile to put an adult in charge of the business. We won't be back. Food is good but service is typically slow. There are better options in the area that want our business. read more

Teaspoon is a unique breakfast experience. It's slightly pricey but well worth it. I have been here a handful of times and yet to get something I didnt thoroughly enjoy. From their popular bubble waffle which is a MUST if you've never had one before, to their chicken and waffles, and Vietnamese drip coffee. The staff here is very knowledgeable of each dish and helpful if you have a hard time making up you're mind on what to get. The restaurant is hip, modern, and clean. The only downfall is the wait time can be long, but that's to be expected with how busy they are. I find that if you get there closer to when they open the service is much faster. 5 out of 5. Wow. The morning bruschetta was absolutely delicious. That in it's self is an amazing brunch dish. The scramble eggs cooked perfectly, love the fresh sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, arugula and the perfect balsamic vinegar. Our grand daughter had the bubble waffle, she loved it, a definite order again item. The Filet mignon steak eggs Benedict fell a little short of my expectations. The eggs cooked perfectly, yummy hollandaise sauce, fork tender fillet mignon. Would have been perfect if not for the dry English muffin, and the dry potatoes. But still I will definitely be back. Teaspoon is an amazing restaurant run by two incredible sisters! I haven't had the chance to go back since moving, but if you live in Tucson or are just visiting you have to put Teaspoon on your list! First, all their pastries are made in house- if you're lucky they'll make Pie-Cake-N again for thanksgiving this year! It's DELICIOUS! Also, their chilaquiles are unmatched by any Tucson restaurant (or Las Vegas for that matter- I promise my boyfriend and I have done extensive research) I've never had a dish I didn't like. You can totally taste the love they put into each menu item. Not to mention, they take food safety seriously! I don't know about you, but that is SO important to me to know restaurants care about my health and safety while eating there. This was my first time here. We were down here visiting friends and they made a reservation for Teaspoon. The food was good. I got the steak au poivre. It was pretty good. I wish there was a option to pay for a larger cut of meat. I would get this again though. The only thing about this visit is the kitchen did not seem in sync. A person at the table had finished his burger, before the fries got to the table. They gave us a waffle looking thing with cream on it for free too. I was thinking about ordering a desert but not sure how long it would take. I know from working in construction some times things do not happen in the right order. The next time I am in the area I will stop by and get the steak au poivre. read more

Worth the wait. Popular brunch place but for good reason! I had the crab eggs Benedict and that Creme sauce was amazing!! My sister had the bubble waffles with the clotted cream and was fabulous. My server, Julia was kind, attentive and helpful in making a selection. She kept this review from being lower. I had chicken and waffles. The fried chicken came out way too fast to have been made on the spot. When they finished that chicken, there was a good crisp but the chicken was barely warm inside. What's more, there was a ton of parsley over the dish (assuming for color) with syrup that the kitchen poured over the top. I spent way too much effort trying to get sticky parsley off of the chicken and out of the crevasses of the waffle. A leisurely breakfast turned annoying. read more
